New photos again :) I put them at the beginning again so they are easier to find. Nicholas had an awesome birthday party on Saturday, July 26th. I can't believe my baby is 1 year old already! Where did the time go? I also added a blog with a link to my photo album on FaceBook. You can view all of the birthday pictures there. I hope all of you are well and that your babies are happy & healthy!

I added photos to my album of our vacation last week. They are at the beginning of the album so you don't have to page through to find them. Nicholas is SO BIG! We (Dan, the baby & I) had an amazing week together last week!

Hey all, sorry I haven't updated in a while. Nicholas is doing awesome! He is such a big boy! He has his 9-month check up next week (yes, I am late with it) so we'll see how he's grown. I fully expect that he will weigh over 25#. He is still such a happy boy. His little personality is so cute. He is now trying to communicate his desires to us with little noises and facial expressions to go long with it. I guess you have to see it to understand, but just for instance, he will look at the door and then make a little noise and then go over to the door. He's telling me he wants to go outside. He says "mama, dada, num num & wow wow" (for bow wow or dog) He has 6 teeth and is working on more. He LOVES his food and is nearly on table food now. He only gets a bottle when it is nap time & then at bedtime at night otherwise he drinks out of a sippie cup. Our biggest milestone......He's walking!! TA-Dah! He's still VERY wobbly, but he's doing it! I knew from the start that he'd be walking at 9 months...I just had this gut feeling. I love him more and more every day and my biggest joy is watching him grow and develop as well as watching his big brothers & Daddy interact with him. I never imagined having this feeling again! I added some photos to my album for you to look at :) See how big my little man has gotten!

I can't believe that just 3 weeks ago Nicholas learned to crawl forward finally and now he is puling up and walking around furniture. We are fairly certain he will be walking unassisted by nine months. His gross and fine motor skills are pretty advanced for his age. He says "mama" and "baba". he probably doesn't know what he's saying, but I like to pretend that he knows that "Mama" goes with me :) He just turned 7 months old last Tuesday and I just can't believe some of the things he is already doing. I told him to stop, but he won't listen :) I am starting a new diet this week, as soon as my diet plan comes in the mail. i have a diet buddy and we'll be keeping tabs on each other. I am excited to be a HOT MAMA again! I want to be a beautiful beach babe by June 15th when the sumer season officially starts on the river.

This child of mine is growing in leaps & bounds! He has outgrown his infant carrier car seat and I had to go buy a new convertible seat for him. It is so sad to see him grow up so incredibly fast. I just feel like I got ripped off because he was never small. He was the size of a 3-month old when he was born. He really loves his new seat and even fell asleep in it on his first car ride.
I did a lot of research and even took him in to fit him for the right seat.
Here's what I ended up buying and I am happy with my purchase. Installation was a SNAP with the LATCH system! It is actually darker in color than this add shows and is more along the lines of Tan tones rather than the gray that it appears. I will take a pic of him in it as soon as I am able.

I went out and bought Nicholas a high chair yesterday. He is now eating baby food 3 times per day and my mom is having a tough time feeding him in his portable swing. He absolutely loved it! I took a few pictures and added them to my page as well as a few Christmas pictures. Also there is a picture of my new Great-Nephew Noah out there. I can't believe he is 4 weeks old today. I was thinking he was only 2-1/2 weeks but the calendar doesn't lie. I need to get up to see him again as I know all too well how fast they grow. I've made so many friends on this site and although I am no longer TTC or pregnant, I still come out here to talk and check up on all of you. I SO apprecuate all of you...you know who you are and I love every one of you!

Guess who got his first tooth over the Holidays?? The crazy thing is that we didn't even know he was teething. There were none of the classic symptoms such as stuffy nose, cough, fever, runny diapers. I was just playing with him on the bed & looked in his mouth. Lo & behold he has one of his bottom front teeth peeking through his gums. I will try to get a pic as soon as he will let me. My baby is growing too fast. It makes me want another!

Thank you all for your thoughts, encouraging words & prayers! I know Landen is at peace and will hurt no more. We are awating info on funeral arrangements at this point. John & Megan have been so strong through all of this and, although younger than I, they have taught me so much. I have gotten a silver lining this morning, which is the birth of my first Great Nephew. Noah James was born at 6:28 this morning weighing 7lbs. 7oz and 20inches long. The family who lost their child yesterday are the best friends of my nephew (we are each others favorites) whose child was born this morning, so you can see how this is a double edged sword.
12/19/2007 I am SO SAD!
Please everyone pray for this family... Jesus has called Landen home after 11 weeks of fighting! You can view his story & all of the updates since his birth.... www.caringbridge.org/visit/landenjohn The parents of this child are very close friends of my family. I am just beside myself right now because there is nothing I can do for them! I feel guilty because I have a happy healthy baby without trying and they wanted this so bad and theirs was taken away! It is just NOT FAIR!!!!!

I added a few more pictures again. We had Nicholas baptized on Sunday. He rolled over for the first time last night. He went back to tummy over his left shoulder. It was so fun to watch. Both Dan and I got to see it together!

Hello everyone, I haven't updated in a while (except pictures). Nicholas had his two-month check up on Wednesday, his 2-month birthday :) He is a strong, healthy little boy. He weighed in at exactly 14# and is 23-1/2 inches long. He is in the 95th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height. I cried when he got his shots. I tried not to, but just couldn't help it. He cries so infreequently that it makes it even more heartbreaking when he does cry. He is such a good baby...and he's is a GOOD eater, taking 6-8 ounces each bottle! He is sleeping through the night. He gets a bath and then his bedtime bottle. He is usually sleeping by 9:30-ish and doesn't usually wake up to eat until after 6am when Grandma gets here!! My mom is doing our daycare for us and she comes to my house so I don't have to get him up and take him out so early in the morning! He loves his time with Grandma. He is talking up a storm and loves to sit in his Bumbo seat, too. I had forgotten how much joy a newborn brings to a home...a family! He is such a blessing, and has made our lives so much more complete! We couldn't love him more!

Hi Everyone. I thought I'd update and let you know I gave birth on July 26th at 11:23pm to Nicholas Daniel. He was 9 pounds 5 ounces and 20-1/2 inches long. I will add my birth story and pics later as time permits.
My birth story ~~~ as condensed as I can get it :)
I went in to the hospital at 9pm on July 25th for cervadil. They admitted me as I was being induced in the morning anyhow. They started my pitocin at 6am on the 26th and I labored until noon with not too much change. At noon my doctor broke my water & that is when things got interesting. Nicholas began to have serious decelerations in his heartbeat with each contraction (down below 70 at times). They monitored this for almost 3 hours and decided to stop the pitocin as it was complicating the labor. At that time I was already in a great deal of pain so they first administered my epidural. Then they put in a catheter, then they did what is called an amniotic infusion where they put saline back into my uterus with the hopes of "floating" the baby up enough so he wasn't compressing his cord (this is why his heart rate was dropping with contractions). It worked. I was able to relax, his heart rate stabilized & they started the pitocin again. Finally around 10:55pm, I felt the urge to push. The nurse checked and I was, in fact, completely dilated. At 11:05 they had the bed set up for me to begin pushing. I pushed through about 4 contractions and they told me I had to stop or they weren't going to be able to break the bed down for the delivery. Nicholas made his appearance at 11:23pm. I pushed for less than 20 minutes :) I have to say that all together it was a great experience. Dan cried and because he cried, so did I. He is a wonderful daddy so far, and especially for this being his first child at the age of 47.

Hi all! As you can see by my profile, I am 36 years old and already have 2 boys ages 16 & 12 from my marriage to their father, who was abusive, and I left him nearly 3 years ago. After a blighted ovum at 11 weeks in 1996 and then several (4) early miscarriages (before 7 weeks) since October 2005, I became pregnant in October 2006 with my third son, who is due July 19th. I have had several ultrasounds because of my history of pregnancy loss and so far the baby's heartbeat has been strong and healthy. This pregnancy had been very eventful in the first 12 weeks as I lost a twin very early on..never even saw the heartbeat. I am blessed that all seems to be going well now! Dan and I have been together for 2 years and this will be his first child. Dan has always wanted a family of his own and now I get to be the one to share that with him. I can't wait until my precious baby boy is born.
Me & all 3 of my boys. Dan, Christopher at age 15 & Andrew at age 11.

Here's how we spend our summers...on the St Croix River!
And these are our "furbabies". They are all purebred Dachshunds . The 2 in the picture on the Left are Kirby and Heidi. They just became parents on 2/7/2007 to Maggie who is in the picture tot he right of them. She is 3 weeks old in the picture. See my Feb 7 entry for birth detalis.

Here's two new pictures of our tiny Furbaby. They were taken on March 18th. She is 5-1/2 weeks old in the pictures and in the first one she had fallen asleep playing with her favorite new toy. It almost looks like she is snuggling it. She is just the cutest thing on the face of the planet. You can't help but love her adorable little face!
