Wednesday, 21 May this is my 3rd pregnancy and i have kept my belly ring through my last 2. i used the silicone version that is kinda flexible and everything turned out fine and it was completely comfortalbe. i tried with this pregnancy to take it out and just put it back in every few days (due to itching...dunno what that was about) but was shocked to find out the hole had closed after only 3 days!! i forced it back through and now have a very sore belly button. im NOT takin it out again as i want to keep it after the baby. i never got stretch marks or anything bc of it....but my sister did get one in a straight line following the path of the barbell. if ur prone to stretch marks it may be a problem for you but otherwise i say go for it. hotpotaaaaato -
Wednesday, 21 May I still have my belly ring in (20 weeks) and with my first pregnancy I got a maternity belly ring and wore that the entire time... when I got to the hospital, my nurse was shocked (because she didn't know about pregnancy rings). I must say I am not as inclined to show off my ring anymore though, but that's due to me not losing my little pudge of a tummy... nothing to do with the ring. I say keep it in, and put in the maternity one when you need to, and if at any point you feel it's not good, then just take it out! Good Luck! (I think it's fine though the whole time. ) :) baby4momma -
Tuesday, 20 May Hello! I took out my belly piercing three years ago and the holes are still there (closed up) but visible. They have been stretching with my stomach and I know are going to look hilarious when I'm Super Prego. One of my friends left hers out for the entire pregnancy and put it back in after her baby was born. She said it took a little while to get it back through but eventually she got it. The only downside is that her holes did stretch and her piercing was wobbly and loose. Hope that helps! Renee11201 -
Tuesday, 20 May Hey.. I took mine out when I was pregnant with both of my kids... because all the pressure pushing out and down on your belly ring, in my opinion might cause your hole to stretch, I mean.. your belly is already going to stretch to its limits while being preg and the idea of having a ring through that thin peice of skin with all the pressure lol... I dont know lol but thats what I did :) mumtobe4july08 -
Tuesday, 20 May i've got my belly pierced with a belly bar and used a plastic one which was a few sizes bigger at the beginning of my pregnancy so that it wouldn't close over. really regretting it now as i have a stretchmark between the top hole and bottom hole where it has stretched (only tiny but annoyed as it's my only one grrrr lol and the same thing happened to my friend) so my advise would be to take it out and just push a bar or ring through it every few days just to keep the hole open, i will put mine back in once i've had my baby. x NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
