My profile

I am new to this site, however I have been actively reading other mommies comments for several weeks now!! My husband and I have been together for almost 11 yrs. (married for one) and we are expecting our first baby!! We currently have a very spoiled dog who has been our "baby " for the past 3 yrs.

We are due in Mid-October and we are patiently waiting to find out if our little one is a boy or a girl!! Our U/S date is early June!! We just feel so blessed and are so thankful !!

June 6, 2008 We are having a little BOY!!!! It was so amazing to see him moving around and playing with his feet :) He is sooo cute already and we can't wait until he is here in our arms!!

believe it or not i found some super comfy prego clothes at walmart.com...i figured why spend a ton of money on clothes i will be wearing for only a few months.

Hi, congrats on your pregnancy! I just read your comment about maternity clothes not fitting. Try Motherhood Maternity, they have the Secrit Fit Belly pants, they're awesome! So comfy and they look like regular pants and they're not tight at all, super comfy!!! I'm going to look for some capri pants there this weekend, I already have the jeans and LOVE them!

Thanks so much! It was such a relief when the docotor told me everything was back to normal. I have to go next week for my glucose test so I will get checked out again at that visit! Thanks for your well wishes, same to you:)

No, I did not have one. I had back pain for about a week and then one morning it was in my lower abdomin. Thats when I went to the hospital. The abdominal pain and vomitting only lasted about 8 hours (the length of my hospital stay)

I don't think I had one.... Everytime I see my doctor they do a urine sample and never said anything about an infection. ??? Anyways they said there not sure what causes kidney stones, good luck, hope it all works out. If it is a kidney stone, I'm sorry! the pain is terrible, I'm not gonna lie.

Oh wow that was about 10 yrs ago so let me refresh my memory here....LOL Starting at 3 mths I began bleeding and found I had UTI then at around 4 mths I began cramping and found I still had it or it returned then I was put on complete rest and it was pretty much like that the whole way through. I was either bleeding or contracting and always in the hospital. I was on a brethine pump ( catheter in my thigh constantly pumping meds to stop contrations) and put on an IV when I needed stronger meds. At 28 weeks I had a really bad kidney infection and ran a high fever, and they couldnt get my contractions to stop. I was prepped for delivery and then the contractions just stopped. Needless to say it was no fun. I delivered at 36 weeks a healthy 7lb 3 oz baby boy so I was fortunate to have it end as good as it did. My second was a little better but I was put on bed rest for the last 3 mths because of contractions and dialtion. I was just so afraid this pregnancy would be the same. I love that I can walk and be pregnant.....as funny as that may seem I dont take advantage of it for a minute. I do have to have progesterone shots in my arms every week which HURT !! But I'll take em anyday if it will prevent me from having a baby in the NICU !!!!! Just keep insisting that they get those infections under control. I think youll be okay. Were half way there....not to much longer now.

Hey there. With my first pregnancy I had a constant bladder infection and it seemed nothing was helping. I never even knew I had one half the time. I actually did have a lot of pre term labor because of it so I was put on bed rest through most of my pregnancy...then the same thing happened 2 yrs later with my next one. I was told when your pregnant your more prone to getting them especially if you have a history of them like I did, but yes they can cause a lot of problems in a pregnancy so its best to do whatever you need to to get it under control. About 3 yrs ago I went to an urologist and was put on like a 3 mth antibitoic treatment because he said some people can not rid all the bacteria from their bodies with just the regular dosage usually perscribed, and you can actually go on having them constantly for yrs !! Now I havent had one since and this pregnancy is perfect in every way so I know now thats why I had so many problems before. I hope I didnt scare you, but Id hate to see you go through everything I went through. I was just giving you my experiences because Ive been there many times. LMK if you need any more advice. Take care, and feel better.

Hey thanks for your comment about lifting. I just don't know if there is a difference between lifting and pushing weights. I know I need to take it easy, I am just stubborn.

mommatiff3 - Tuesday, 10 June
Oh good Im not alone. Ive always been a germ phobe with my kids. I thought about the holidays too, and Ive already decided unless youve gone to the doc and can show me a clean bill of health your not touchin my baby !!! LOL

dustyrose001 - Tuesday, 10 June

Yes!! I feel like my bladder is never empty! What's worse is when I sneeze, I have to cross my legs so I don't pee my pants!! NICE!!

mamabare30 - Monday, 9 June
i was thinking the same thing! man if i have to pee this much now, then i'm gonna have to go every 10 minutes the bigger he gets! ah well, i wonder if it's just because he seems to like to sit lower in my uterus... when i get u/s his feet are always near my pubic bone, little bugger!!

mamabare30 - Monday, 9 June
hiya, read your pee question! i don't know why this is happening so early, but i feel like i have to pee every 20min, perhaps because i'm not emptying my bladder when i do go... it feels so tight and heavy down there that sometimes i end up do having to go and other times it's the phantom pee sensation... anyway, you are not alone my friend! :)

baby1@38 - Monday, 9 June
I have the same problem peeing!! Which has led me to having 2 bladder infections already this pregnancy! The Dr doesn't seem to be too concerned about it though...she just gives me antibiotics. I think it is very common in pregnancy! Good Luck with it all!!

LilFarfel - Tuesday, 27 May
we have the same due date. :) i think it's more important to not be in pain then to get your walking time in...i was an avid gym goer until pregnancy happened...because of being tired though. Take it real small....maybe even a treadmill at a gym for a bit so you don't have to hobble home if you want to stop...? try some pre-natal yoga dvds...i got some and am trying one tonight!

Jaquita Gordy - Tuesday, 27 May
Yes. I get the same feeling when I walk. And I walk alot mainly because it helps me not to think about cigaretts. I was a smoker and I replaced my smoking urges with walking so I walk alot. It is definitely helping my by doing so, but I get that cramping feeling also.

momofsoon2be3 - Tuesday, 20 May
In one of my pregnancy books it says that the heart rate will go down as the baby gets bigger. At birth it should be around 120 bpm.

I am glad to hear that the doppler works well. What type of ultrasound gel do you buy?
