Well, I found out on Mother's Day that we are expecting Baby #2, around January 22. It's been a rocky road for us this time around. With my son, now 4, we were not trying and I had a very easy pregnancy. Since we started trying for number 2, I have had 2 miscarriages since July of 2006. With the help of prometrium to keep my progesterone levels high, we are confident and optimistic with this pregnancy! So far all my levels are good...I have an appt. with my doctor on June 1st. My son was born VERY big (9 lbs. 11 oz, 21 inches...I am only 5'2"!), so we have some concerns this time around...
I am hoping to make some contacts, just for fun, to compare notes and stories!

I had my ultrasound today...I was so anxious...BUT, thankfully everything looks good...Saw the teeny tiny heartbeat, which is such a miracle. Looks like I will have frequent u/s so that we can monitor the cervix and be sure it is healed and strong enough to hold another baby! I am excited :)

Well, aside from this random morning sickness that has just started, everything is going well with us. I had another u/s on the 3rd, and everything still looks great. My 12 week appt. was last week and the doctor decided to take me off the progesterone, which scared me...I was/am nervous about that, but have to trust him on that. I am measuring a week bigger than my due date, hoping that doesn't mean another BIG baby.
My son is convinced we are having a girl...I hope to find out soon!Thanks for all your messages.

We have had 2 more ultrasounds since my last update, and as you can tell by my pink font, we are having a baby girl! It is so exciting to think we will have one of each...My 4 year old is SO excited and came up with the name Molly for his baby sister. I am still measuring a bit big, my doctor is sure that another big baby is in the future, so we are talking about inducing a little early this time to avoid the rough recovery I had delivering a BIG baby! That is a big relief...As for now, we are getting back into the fall schedule...school starting back up again. I hope I can keep up with my Kindergarteners until January!

Hey, I don't know if I told you or not but I didn't have to go back to work. Bailey came on Sunday. It's kind of ironic b/c that was the absolute last possible day she could have made her entrance before work. My water broke at 5AM (almost exactly) and she was born at 3:32 PM.

Wow you really did measure big! Do they know about how much she weighs?? I am 36 weeks and they said that my little one is 7 lbs 15 oz. ... they won't induce due to size!!!

Oh, my doctor is completely against me going back to work on Monday but the problem is, even if he writes me a note I still won't get paid past my 26 sick days. I can take as much time as I want b/c I have 26 sick days, 12 weeks of FMLA, and 20 days of sub deduct before they can do anything to me. But, I don't get paid for ANY of it except my 26 days and we can't afford for me to take off longer than that.

Lucky for you to have your membranes stripped. I told the doctor again that I have to go back to work on Monday and he's totally against it but he doesn't want to induce any earlier. I just keep thinking, I can wait 11 more days! At least by the time I do get back to work it will be closer to spring break and then school will be out for the summer.

Hey thanks for your comment. My daughter might have trouble going to sleep though, she rarely sleeps in the car, when I go see my home, about an hour and thirty minutes away. But your idea was the best so I'm going try the red eye. Everyone that replied said it wasn't hard, so maybe it won't be so bad, it won't be too long anyway.

Hello again, Kteacher. :) I just wanted to check in with you before I got back into the busy school year. It starts for me in the morning. =O I will be teaching 3rd grade!!! :D My long term sub is already lined up as well. I am so happy that the sub will be coming in prior to my scheduled leave to learn my routine and get to know the kids. She wants to ensure a smooth transition. AWESOME!!! Leave is currently set for Sept. 17 to Nov.4th. If this little one decides to come earlier, obviously that time will be shifted. Drop a line sometime! :)

Hello. I am also 13 weeks and a high school teacher. I lost two pregnancies as well since March 2006. I am pg again and scared. They said I might be taking progesterone shots..I was wondering when you started b/c I was told after 13 weeks. My son was also high risk and was born at 7 mos. Good luck to you!
