I'm Rebecca, I'm 20 years old and mother to a gorgeous 2yr old called

I live in sunny Scotland. It's a gorgeous place with lots of land and fun things to do :).

18th January 2008

Today I feel alright. I don't feel as sick as I have been for the last few weeks. I still haven't ate much. Starting to worry that I shouldn't be losing the weight I am and I will consult my midwife or GP at the next appoinment if it continues.

Just got the post, but alas, no scan date.

I got my scan date in the post today, yey!!

I'm just so scared something will be wrong. I have been on treatment during my pregnancy for my arthritis and eye condition, and I'm just a worry wort. I also had a lot of treatment before I concieved that may of been in my blood still.

So I have to try think positive now!

January 20th 2008

Because we had been trying to get pregnant for 19 months when I finally got a positive test, I feel like wrapping myself in cotton wool. This pregnancy is very scary. There is so much against me or it. I take alot of medication for my eye condition, Uveitis. It's an inflammatory condition that will probably leave me blind

. I've been told several times before it will. Which to me is my justification for having my children young. I want to see them grow up for aslong as possible and do as much as possible.

But the thing is, with my sons pregnancy I refused to take any treatment. I had really bad sight problems after the pregnancy, this time I fell pregnant WHILST on the medication. And I'm so scared this will have effected the growth/baby in some way.

I have my first scan next tuesday, I will be about 9 weeks and 4 days by their dates, and about 10 weeks or so by mine

. They don't usually scan until 12 weeks around here but her face dropped when I explained my medication at my first meet...

so I don't know what to expect. I just hope to be posting something positive on the 22nd.

They told me today I have a tear inside somewhere in my womb and that it may result in MC. But not to worry too much if I don't get any bleeding. She said it will probably will be ok asI didn't have any bleeding when it would of happened. So just have to see what happens.

I've not been on here in a while. Just been low about stuff. Bit happier now. I had a 12wk scan and the bleeding had been re-absorbed. So I am well chuffed.

I'm now 16 weeks gone and got my 20 week scan in two weeks when I'm 18 weeks lol.

Also genderscan is booked for 27th March!!!

I feel quite... weird today. Seems to be dragging to my gender scan. I think once I can get that done I'll be happier as I can finally buy pink or blue and start preparing for the baby.

10 Days until Gender scan!!!!

I can't wait. It's still dragging slightly.

I know I have my heart set on a girl. but as I have said to a friend on here, a baby is a blessing whichever gender is. And it's true. There are people who can't have children, or go through many IVF attempts with disappointment. I know it took me 19mths to fall pregnant again and that was agonising.
This is my last child, due to my eyes I can't risk to keep stopping treatment, which is why i'd love one of each, but everything happens for a reason.

I can safely say, even if it's a boy, my credit card will be getting a bashing.

24th March 2008

I had my 20 week scan today (But only 18 weeks). I have to go back on the 11th April to get scanned again as she couldn't see a few things very clearly as I was a bit before they usually scan. But she said all looks fine.

3 Days to go until gender scan.

March 27th

Well today is the day I get to find out what my little bean is. There is mixed emotions of course. I am kinda settled on a little girl, but of course being pregnant is a blessing in the first place, and isn't the babies fault. I know I'll be overwhelmed whatever gender it is.

So watch this space!

March 27th - continued

Well, I'm just back from my private gender scan. Slightly aprehensive because they couldn't tell me for sure what sex it was. But the percentage is

75% girl

. The only reason I am slightly worried is because I have to go back for another scan. I think if she left it at that I'd of believed it was a girl and left it to it.
She said she didn't see any boy bits, but just wants to be... well 99% sure because they say it's never 100%.
It must be a girl, it's being modest and camera shy so far.

March 30th 2008

I'm feeling bubs kicking alot now. Good few movements a day. Not strong enough to feel on the outside, but I feel it. And I love it, I've missed this feeling since I had my son.

I have fallen in love with the name...

Well I last updated 30 days ago, so thought it time to do so. All has been fine except them having problems checking her heart. They say it's because she's lying funny. I hope it is. Other than that I'm dandy. Just bored lol. 23 weeks... hmmmm wish I could just sleep until August. I want her now!!!

i don;t get too much judgment at all. i live in the state with the 2nd highest teen pregnancy rate in the country. it's practically a freak occurance to NOT be either pregnant or have a child by the time you graduate high school. so people are used to it. one person told me i looked so young to have a baby, but they were really nice. that;s all i;ve heard. sorry for the novel..that took more words than i thought it would. thank you though!!

i have a high pain tolerance, but i want to have fun with the labor, so im getting an epidural. im not looking forward to it cus i HATE doctors, but im not scared or anything lol
