More....

I am 25 years old and pregnant with my 2nd child. This will be Andy's first baby. We are very excited about our new baby!! I'm still trying to explain to my son what is going on (he is 4 and a half). He's just like "oh, there's a baby in your tummy??" But I think that's normal until I start showing a little more. Anyways, we don't care what we are having, just as long as the baby is healthy. We will find out in September, so I'll keep things posted.

We found out early - IT'S A BOY!!!!!

UPDATE: My brother's girlfriend finally had my little niece on December 30, 2007. Anyways, my son acted a complete fool when meeting his cousin for the first time. This is sort of worrying me seeing that there is about to be another baby in our every day life as well. He seems to love Shawn to death (always rubbing and kissing my tummy), but I know things will be different when Shawn makes his debut into this world. I guess only time will tell, and I know there is an adjustment period that he will have to go through. I've tried to focus now on his upcoming birthday - he will be five - it might very well be the last time ALL attention is on him.

January 4, 2008 - I had my doctor's appointment today, and all went well. I have gained 3 pounds bringing my total weight gain up to 36 pounds!! Heartbeat was strong. He is still measuring about 2 weeks big - which is a complete blessing as my first son was very small. My doctor says this one is a "normal" pregnancy...LOL I go back on January 18 for an internal exam and will hopefully get my c-section date.

January 18, 2008 - I had another doctor's appointment today, and all went well again. She did my Beta-Strep test and I will get those results back next week. I am not dialated at all, which is fine since I'm having a c-section. But I will still go back each week until I have my c-section on February 11, 2008 (24 more days....YAY)!!! So unless Shawn decides to come out on his own...his birthday will be 2/11/08. I go back on January 24 for another exam.

January 24, 2008 - I had yet another doctor's appointment today - all is well!! My Beta-Strep test came back negative. I am still not dialated, but doctor ordered another ultrasound to check my placenta previa. It FINALLY moved - once again not an issue as I'm having another c-section officially scheduled for February 11, 2008. Shawn weighs an estimated 6 pounds 12 ounces - YAY!! I am very excited, only 18 days to go!! I go back on January 31 for another exam.

January 31, 2008 - Another appointment today, everything is great...still not dialated!! Now it's just a "waiting" period...11 days to go. I go back on February 7 for another exam (also my last appointment before the BIG day - 2/11/08).
