JUST ME

I am 24 and live with my fiance Chris, 28 in Cramlington. We have been together for 7 years and have lived together for 4 years! We got a puppy at Christmas and thought that was enough for now so when I found out I was pregnant at Easter it was a SHOCK to say the least! After three tests I still didn't want to believe as I still feel like a child myself! Somehow I have managed to give up smoking and drinking but I must admit I miss it! Chris on the other hand hasn't changed his ways yet but who can blame him? To him nothing is different ... yet!

So in a nutshell when jelly bean is born I will have to cope with a newborn and a puppy! Holly will be 1 on November 7th just before jelly bean is due and hopefully won't be as hyper! I have already noticed a change in her and she is calming down a lot, the only time she is in hyper mode is when people come over, she is very clingy and just likes to snuggle up to her mamma and dadda!! (sad I know but at least we're already used to calling each other it)

We are still hoping to have a week away before jelly bean arrives and had luckily already decided to stay in this country so we could take Holly with us! So glad I have managed to have plenty holidays with Chris, we have been to the Caribbean the past three years so can't complain too much!

One of my downfalls is that I am a very negative person and always thinks and expect the worst, I worry about everything as you never know what can happen, me and Chris never leave each other on bad terms and always say "I love you" even after being together for so long, some people call it soppy but we never want to change, we are very close and lovey dovey!!! Anyway my point was I am a worrier and can't wait until I am past my 20 week scan so I can enjoy my pregnancy! Also can't wait to find out the sex so we can have a bright pink or blue nursery - no offence to anyone but I don't like cream/lemon/beige nurseries, I want a bright and stimulating room for my baby!!

Jelly bean will be the fourth grandchild on my side of the family but the first in Chris's! My sister had Lyla Catherine on the 24th June 2006, my brother had Ethan Thomas on the 13th October 2006 and his second baby is due in July! We have been warned to slow down by my mam as she will end up skint!!

as long as we are not puffing away on 20-40 fags a day i don't see how it would harm the baby in any way, my doc told me to do what's good for me and if that means having a smoke in the evening then be it, i don't think i am being selfish i am just doing what's right for me i guess.

steve and i laugh at that too cos the chance of getting pregnant was so little lol, and even so to have a boy cos apparently the female sperm live the longest in the women's body and if you fall pregnant before having your period you have a 95% chance that it will be a girl, it's not old wife tale it's science! we are also worrying about money i work full time and so does steve but we have just bought a house that needs ton of renovating before our son arrives we are moving in 2 weeks time and also we are getting married on the 18th of August, i bought my dress today http://www.tiffanyrose.com/maternity/clothing/ELG.html
i just gave 2 and a half grand to the solicitor money is pouring out from everywhere, also i am worried about my maternity leave cos all i will get is 6 weeks full pay or 90% and then i am back at work full time to pay the mortgage, times are hard, i don't know how we'll manage to pay for child care i don't even want to have someone else look after my lil boy, it 's so scary, i know we'll be ok but it's so daunting, lol... X

Hahaha I have worried about that too and have heard of people actually doing that (and know of one, but won't give names away lol!!) We shouldn't be too worried tho, I'm sure the people at the hospital have seen it all before! I also heard about the hair removal cream not being a good idea, never fancied that anyway. I've had waxing done before and I know that there has been the odd time when it has hurt more than normal, but I'm definately going to bit the bullet nearer the time. xx

Gemma24 - Friday, 25 July
That's my main worry that when the time comes I'm going to look like a yeti! But I've spoken to my mam and she say's she'll help me out when I start having too much bother, I asked Marty like but he just laughed it off! He is going to have to help me out in some ways tho (nearly had to shout him to help me out of the bath the other night. Have cancelled the appointment for now like and I read in one of my books that it's a good idea to go closer to your due date as then it will last into the early days of being a Mum. xx

 you guys look awesome XX

Emilie - Friday, 25 July
my pregnancy was unplanned too, i actually didn't want to have kids, i didnt want the hassle, i had got off the pill cos it was making me sick and moody and i was waiting for the injection, my nurse said there was no way i'd fall pregnant after taking the pill for 12 years, well how wrong was she, lol, now i am pregnant i am so happy so, i can't wait to have my boy... i never thought i had the maternal instinct although everybody was telling i would be a great mum cos i take care of my dogs so well... i feel sorry for your lil pup, our bulldog mathilda is 14 months old and we have had a lot of problems with her too, she has ingrowing eyelashes and she has needed 2 laser operations to remove them, they cost £1300 each time, thank god we are insured but still, i guess that's what happens when you buy rare pedigree dogs, lots of problems,we have a lot of friends who have kids and our dogs have been round them lots of time, they are gentle so i am not worried, maybe a bit excited to start with but they soon calm down. XX

Emilie - Friday, 25 July
well i know for a fact i won't be walking about with a pram, the baby is gonna be in a sling or a carrier cos my hands are always busy with leads, treats, poo bags, car keys, lol, i am thinking practical.

The weight will drop off babe, i am telling myself that there is nothing i can do about it, it's scary though cos i was so tiny before falling pregnant now i feel like a ball, at the mo i am putting on a pound a week, it scares the hell out of me, lol XX

Gemma24 - Friday, 25 July
Saw your pics on facebook - Holly looks like a proper dog now - no longer a puppy! Also saw your belly - how cute! It's strange coz on my belly pics on here you can tell I'm pregnant, but when I'm just dressed normally I don't think it's that noticably (maybe it's just the way I see myself, as Marty has taken to calling me Santa Belly
What style of maternity trouser's are you wearing? I wear over the bump at work, but I bought some under the belly jeans and they just don't feel right (can't take them back either as I already took them up! : ) Think I'll have to try and find some over the belly ones! xx

Emilie - Friday, 25 July
thanks for replying, there are no bad dogs you know, just bad handlers, steve and i want to get a staffie to add to our pack, i wanted a blue one but they cost too much we already spent almost 2K on our Bulldog last year, i have wanted a staffie for ages, so many of my friends have them and they are great around kids and so gentle, we're moving house in 2 weeks i told steve i want another pup before the baby arrives, so i think we're gonna go for it, people say it's gonna too much hard work to have 3 dogs and a baby but it's only work if you look at it this way, to me they are part of my family and my role is to take care of them... anyway your pup is beautiful, she won't be jealous don't worry, she'll welcome your baby and will be so good. XX

Gemma24 - Wednesday, 23 July
Yeah we gotta go in again at 25 weeks. I was going to try and get another scan, coz I've been really worried about this clicking sound I keep hearing every now and again when the baby moves. I've searched online and it seems quite common, but I'd still like to know everything is OK - everyone looks at me like I'm mad when I tell them . I'm also going to ask if we can have a tour of the hospital so we know where everything is, apparently it is something they can organise. If you do get a scan there, make sure you ask if you will be getting pictures, that's what I did and I think thats why they printed me so many xx

xweegeex - Tuesday, 22 July
i know, its totally annoyin me that i dont look noticably pregnant & i cant wait until my bump gets bigger but my other half keeps sayin i should enjoy bein this size while I can lol!!!! Im findin it a little harder to bend down & kinda need to move my legs out to the side so I can reach lol!!! the joys eh hehe! i actually noticed today that my belly button doesnt seem as deep as it was & am startin to panic that its goin "out". I really hope it isn't.....apart from that am the same as you, feelin really hungry all the time but a lot more full of energy & happier than I was at the start x

me back is totally fucked and those chairs at work just make it 10 x worse, i'll have to go back to work asap but not while me backs like this .

i've got me maternity starting in september i think, then got 9 months off and then stick holidays in like so it'll be september09 i go back, i'm only going back 16hrs per week as well, coz it'll kill me being away from him.

going pram shopping the night like, mainly just to have a look around, we've got his cot, but i really need to get decorating and get a new carpet down by next weekend, so managed to flutter my eyelashes and get david and his dad to do it lmao.

i'm dead impatient i want everything done yesterday, but i've realised it doesnt quite go to plan lol

Gemma24 - Tuesday, 22 July
Keep meaning to ask, is your midwife in the health centre by the library? xx

Gemma24 - Tuesday, 22 July
Hehehe that's crafty about the lino!

I've really gotten into these cookies from Asda (I tell myself that because they are oatmeal and raisin they must be healthy! ) I ate about 4 on Sunday! But I read that it's around this time when you can start craving sweet things.

Oh wow another little girl in the family then!

All I will say is I am having either one or the other!! xx

Robyn-and-baba - Tuesday, 22 July
things are alright here like, i'm on the sick from work, me back is fooked lol, and i've got strep b aswell so was bricking mesel about that but i just need antibiotics through a drip when i go into labour and they check Dylan when he's born to make sure he's not got it. i've been feeling him loads especially in bed on a night time, but i'm spending most days just looking at me belly coz it keeps moving all the time and david's feeling him quite a bit now, i'm just trying to get me arse into gear now and get everything sorted, we've only got 16weeks left now and time is flying!!!! still not managed to get a house yet like, so instead of panicking about that we're just staying with his mam and dad for the time being, we're not in desperate need for owt. are you sorted yet?

xXBatesXx - Tuesday, 22 July
hey hun, hows things with you and bump, found out i'm having a little boy.....
Excitin stuff!!

How have you been feeling lately?? xxxx

Gemma24 - Tuesday, 22 July
Awww bless, I know how long toilet training can take what with all the dogs my folks have had through the years. Did you get into bother about her chewing the lino?!

I'm OK thanks. My appetite has gone through the roof the past couple of weeks! Kicks are defo getting stronger as well, but I can also feel baba turning and moving from side to side a lot which makes my belly move. Past couple of mornings aswell the kicking starts when the alarm has gone off! Was sitting watching TV last night and the side of my belly poked out, which made me laugh

I'm starting to really struggle with keeping the sex a secret as I keep wanting to refer to baba by sex or by name and have to keep biting my lip !
