How did you feel when you found out: Simultaneously shocked, excited, content, anxious and calm

Who was with you: my husband

How did he react: He was skeptical, even after the second home test. After I saw the doctor, he was happy

How did your parents react: my mother and stepmother both cried and could hardly talk; my dad wanted me to put the phone against my belly so the baby could hear his voice

How did his parents react: surprised and positive

Have they bought anything for the baby yet: 3/09-my dad bought him a Tonka truck

First symptoms: emotionally sensitive, exhausted, and nauseous (all of which I attributed to a stomach bug caused by low immunity caused by stress)

Prepregnancy weight: 145

Weight at your last appointment: 140; 143; 153; 160

What was the heartbeat: 168; 154; 148ish (should have updated closer to the appt)

Next scheduled ultrasound: March

Are you finding out the sex of the baby: yes (although it IS the one true surprise ...getting pregnant has been a true surprise!)

What do you want: it sounds clich�, but truly, a healthy baby�I take medicine that I can�t discontinue so we are hoping for the best

What does the daddy want: a girl

What is the sex of the baby:it's a boy! we are both excited about it!

Cravings: 1^st trimester: fruit! (watermelon, kiwi, cherries, peaches) pickles; end of 1st trimester-dairy

2nd trimester: cheese, chocolate milk, rootbeer; chinese food

What is the first thing you bought for the baby: a blanket, hooded towel, and plush toy

Do you know what you are taking with you for the birth: haven�t really thought too much about it, but I have time

Who is going to be with you: I am hoping it will be my husband, there is a chance that he will be deploying�

Are you going to videotape it: doubtful

Are you scared about the labor: of course

Do you have names picked out yet: we are still negotiating those but getting closer; 3-09 I think we have it! we are waiting until the birth to share

Nursery theme: probably sage greens and neutral browns
