Hello, My name is Kari. I am 25 years old and live in Montana. I found out that I am pregnant with my first child on October 9th. I am very excited and cannot wait, even though I was completley surprised when I first found out. I am now 8 weeks along. I had my first doctor appointment on Monday, November 5th. I got to see the heartbeat, and it is by far the most beautiful thing I have yet seen in my life :) It was moving around so much in the U/S :) Very Excited!!

Well Tuesday Dec. 4th was my 2nd doctor appointment. I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was a strong 150. It is just so amazing. I recorded it on my cell phone and listen to it as often as possible :) I can't believe I am almost to my 13th week alreay. June will be here before I know it :)

Monday, January 7th I had my 17 week check-up. The nurse had a hard time picking up the heartbeat with the doppler, but told me not to worry because it has plenty of space to hide. Even though she told me not to worry, I had to a little bit. It all worked out for the best though, cause they brought in their little u/s they have and so I got to see the babay again plus see the fast little heartbeat. I could not believe how much my little one had grown since my 8 week appointment. Everything is going well. I am scheduled for my `big ` ultrasound on January 30th. Still don `t know if I want to find out the sex of my baby. I think I will probably just wait, hey, whats another 20 weeks :)

The doctor gave me the following, and I just had to share.....HOW TO KNOW IF WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE READY TO HAVE A BABY1. MESS TESTSmear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Now rub your hands in the wet flower bed and rub on the walls. Cover the stains with crayons. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all summer.2. TOY TESTObtain a 55-gallon box of Legos. (If Legos are not available, you may substitute roofing tracks or broken bottles). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen. Do NOT scream (this could wake a child at night).3. GROCERY STORE TESTBorrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop at the grocery store. Always keep them in site and pay for anything they eat or damage.4. DRESSING TESTObtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bag making sure that all arms stay inside.5. FEEDING TESTObtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water. Suspend from the ceiling with a stout cord. Start the jug swinging. Try to insert spoonfuls of soggy cereal into the mouth of the jug while pretending to be an airplane. Now dump the contents of the jug on the floor.6. NIGHT TESTPrepare by obtaining a small cloth bag and fill it with 8 to 12 pounds of sand. Soak it thoroughly in water. At 8:00PM begin to waltz and hum with the bag until 9:00PM. Lay down you bag and set your alarm for 1o:00PM. Get up, pick your bag, and sing every song you have ever heard. Make up about a dozen more and sing these too until 4:00AM. Set alarm for 5:00AM. Get up and make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful.7. PHYSICAL TEST (WOMEN)Obtain a large bean-bag chair and attach it to the front of your clothes. Leave it there for 9 months. Now remove 10% of the beans.8. PHYSICAL TEST (MEN)Go to the nearest drug store. Set your wallet on the counter. Ask the clerk to help himself. Now proceed to the nearest food store. Go to the head office and arrange for your paycheck to be directly deposited to the store. Purchase a newspaper. Go home and read it quietly for the last time.9. FINAL ASSIGNMENTFind a couple who already have a small child. Lecture them on how they can improve their discipline, patience, tolerance, toilet training and child `s table manners. Suggest many ways they can improve. Emphasize to them that they should never allow their children to run riot. Enjoy this experience. It will be the last time you will have all the answers

Well here I am, 20 weeks today. I can `t believe I am half way done with my pregnancy already!! I have my big ultrasound on Wednesday the 30th. I am probably not going to find out the sex of my baby. Well at least until the birth :) I just can `t wait to see how big my baby has gotten and see all of his/her features that have developed. 20 down and 20 to go!!

ITS A BOY!!! I am so excited. I had my big ultrasound on January 30th!! It was so much fun seeing my baby. I really didn `t want to know the sex of the baby, but the trainee tech kind of let it slip...oops :) Its alright though, I am happy to know! He was healthy with the exception of large kindeys. The doctor told me not to worry about it though, it is pretty common in boys. I will have another u/s in like 6 weeks so they can check on him again :) I am so excited that I will get to see my boy again! I just hope the problem corrects itself.

ugh, my appt just made me upset. i was looking forward to going in and getting an ultrasound like my last doctor said i would. but no. the doc just checked my belly and did the strep b or whatever its called on me and thats it! i was dying to know how big she is to get to see her, but he didnt do it! i was also hoping they would at least schedule me a c section just so i know i date and so i can at least know an end is near. i cannot be pregnant 4 more weeks! i just cant! i literally cried when i came out of the office like a wimp! haha! i was being pouty. next week they schedule me a c section though. they told me it would be between 39 and 40 but i want it at 38!! hopefully i can convince them. your so lucky to only have gained 20lbs! i think i hit 38! everyone says i dont look it, but i think theyre saying it to be nice. my legs and hips got huge! only a few more weeks of overindulgence of ice cream and then i have to work out! are you getting as tired as i am? i havent came anywhere near that nesting thing yet!

I am so sorry that i had you worried.. I went a head and took my leave at work, so needless to say i have not been on the computer much! I got my internet hooked back up at my house so i will be on more often.. I am doing great! No baby yet! How are you? Are you feeling ok? I have been thinking about you too.. Work was just so stressful and last friday i found out i get 12 weeks for leave so i decided to go for it.. Is your stepson there yet?? How is all that going?
I go back to the doctor tomorrow, I am still having contractions but nothing that has taking me to the hospital yet.. Well girl i hope all is well with you.. Let me know how you are doing... Miss talking to you!:(

It's been a while since i checked in on you..... How are you feeling i'll bet your ready for this baby to be out! I know I'am and I still have a little over a month and a half to go. Anyway i went to the doctor on monday and he said everything looks good but i need to stop gaining so much weight or i may need a c-section cause he may be too big. He weighed 3 pounds 9 ounces about 3 weeks ago and i go for another U/S on the 27th to check up on everything and see how big he's getting. Yeah, I went out and got him a cake from Wal-Mart. I should have been a good wife and made him one, but I didn't! LOL I have my doctors appointment tomarrow and it seems everyone is getting their strep b test done around this time. I'm not looking forward to that! Since I still have my hemmeroids from a couple weeks ago, how embarrased will I be???!!! I can't wait till June 11th!!!! I know it will go by fast though. I wish I knew something to bring on labor naturally!! LOL

I used to drink quite a bit too, but it was only after my son was sleeping and I knew I didn't have anything to worry about. I hardly ever got hangovers so that didn't bother me. Wow! I can't believe that he's going to be there already! Seems like you were just telling me about him! Right now I am actually having contractions. Been so for the past 45 minutes. 2 every 10 minutes but they only last about 30 seconds.... I dunno. I'll keep an eye on it. Wouldn't that be something? Tomorrow is my Dad's birthday!

Hey there, I just realized I may not have responded to your last msg? Pregnancy-brain! I can't keep track some days... anyway, how are you doing? I'm hanging in there. I think the baby has dropped a bit... I just feel more pressure "down-south." I have an appt tomorrow. I'm kind of hoping she does a cervix check b/c I'm curious if I'm dilated. We'll see.
YES, I definitely get hot these days! I was shaking people's hands in church on Sunday & people were like "whoa, your hands are so warm!" It's crazy. The toughest part, too, is that I have to wear suit coats for my new job so I just absolutely roast in them. Oh well, not much longer, huh?
I think I'm still in a bit of denial... I still don't totally have my bags packed! That in the heck am I thinking? :} We do have the car seat now, though, so that's good. I have my final shower on Saturday so that'll be fun. It's w/ my friends from school though & I know they're going to be shocked at how huge I've gotten, since I haven't seen most of them since February. I'm just getting a little tired of the body comments... do you get those? I walked by a woman in court today & she looked at my belly & said "Jesus!" I was like, thanks a lot bee-yoch! :} Oh well, whaddya do? I feel like I do look pretty funny... I'm short but I just go straight out in the front. It is a bit freakish, I guess I have to admit!

My son will be 13 on June 12th but I hate to tell you, the terrible teen years start WAY BEFORE they actually turn 13! I think they go right from the terrible 2's to terrible teens! LOL How long is he going to be staying with you? Yeah my kids are on Medicaid too. Andy doesn't have insurance benefits through his work and we can't afford just to buy our own. It's FruCkiN OUTRAGEOUS!!! The circumcision isn't covered by Medicaid? Holy Moley! Since when? My last son's was covered and that was just in 2004. I can't believe the insurance crap! Pretty soon NOTHING will be covered! Kamryn had her 2 month check up today. She now weighs 9 lbs 6 oz (up 3 pounds from when she was born) and is 20 1/2 inches long (1 1/2 longer than when she was born). UGH! Where is my baby going!!!??? The poor little thing got four shots in her wittle legs. I think I had more tears in my eyes than she did though! LOL I started making jewelry in March and it usually lasts through Sept, for the tourist traps anyway. Not a bad part time, stay at home job. I also make jewelry and sell it on eBay year round. I'll send ya a pair of earrings if you like? The weather here has been chilly & gloomy. I'm thankful for the moisture but damn I wish that it would warm up a little! We've already gotten more moisture this year than we did all of last year alone. So if you talk to them again, be sure to tell them that they better have sweaters, light jackets, or something! So did you get pretty much everything that you need for the baby? How about your bags...got'em packed and ready to go? You could get a surprise any day now ya know! :) When you start to dialate a little, I tell you a couple secrets that could help you get going...Well I better get going. I hope to hear from you soon. Yeah, it was nice. He still had to go in to work last night but around 10pm we got to have our little fire. I love sitting by fires too. Hubby drank a few beers. I called him an ass. LOL If I wasn't pregnant, I woulda had a few with him! I can't really complain though, hubby doesn't really drink to much which I really like because my dad was a really bad alcoholic. He actually just got out of prison last November and he is still sober! I'm so proud of him! He didn't start smoking again either which is great. That's awesome that you got some cleaning done! I got a little bit done but it seems like whenever I get something done, I have to go back and clean it all over again the next day. That's what I get for having a 3yr old! He'll help me clean his toys up when I start picking them up though so that's nice. So, are you wicked excited yet? My hubby said last night that it still hasn't hit him that we're having another baby. It kinda of hasn't for me either. It sorta did the other night. I went into the nursery and was looking at everything and looked in the closet and I was just like wow... Got all stupid emotional and stuff! So I told him to go in Cayden's room and look around and then it might hit him. It's a lot different than when we were expecting our first. He said he just kept thinking Sh** I'm gunna be a dad!.... So far everything has been normal! My last was a c-section and my first was natural. Thats great you had a baby shower! Do you have everything you need now? You didn't think you were even going to get a baby shower right? Man, I am soooo...... tired!! I nap everyday!! What is wrong with me? Am I just getting lazy? thats exactly what it is! love/hate. thats an awesome way of putting it. id definitely love more kids but these last couple weeks have really gotten difficult! your lucky to be on medicaid. its such a long and difficult process here. i had my insurance end on april 1st from my other job at target since last year i wasnt full time, so i was afraid id have to do cobra and do the premium. somehow i ended up being able to get on zachs insurance from work and he only pays like $30 extra a paycheck for it. we had to apply for domestic partnership. i found that kind of funny for some reason, too! but at least we got it! im still waiting for the insurance card to come in the mail though cause ever since april 1st my gyno has been billing my old insurance and they havent said anything yet. i hate insurance with a passion. i wish we were like canada!

I know, it sucks that he has to work so much. We did get some yard work done today and he brought home some wood so we can have a fire in our fire pit! Finally!!! And we can burn some of the boxes we have sitting around. I wish I lived closer to someone I could visit. Or they could visit me. Either or. I know what you mean about having another pregnant person around. That would be pretty neat!

Better late than never! It was just another day in paradise for me. LOL The kids/hubby got me two necklaces ( 1 bh gold 1 diamond accent "Mom") and an aquarium. LOL Andy and I take turns getting up with Kamryn. Although, when it's his night I end up having to wake him up to tend to Kamryn! Too funny about the running into the rack thing. I did the "running into things" thing A LOT! Just seems never to be enough room! Have you thought about or are you planning to sign up for the WIC program after the baby is born? That will save you tons on formula (just FYI if you already didn't know). Wow your life is about to be completely tossed upside down huh?...teenager and a newborn pretty much all at once. I know "like you have to be reminded or something. LOL) I just got to thinking about that. How old is Dan's son again? I know you told me before but I'm a blonde...you'll just have to forgive me. when i talked to the hospital about it they said usually its the pediatrician we choose and there are only certain pediatricians that can do the circumcision at the hospital ect... I had a good mothers day but saturday i was upset and emotional cus i feel my mother in law is trying to push too many things to happen her way when i am so close to having a baby,. i need to write out my feelings about it to my husband so i can feel better. i wrote alittle comment about it on my page. take care!!

I got some flowers and a nice kitchen knife set! lol... I've been wanting some good knives so I guess it's a good gift. At least it'll last and won't die like the flowers! But yeah, hubby had to work. At least he got home around 7pm instead of 9 like usual. And he went to bring change in to the store today for the registers and it so happens that the shift supervisor took off and left at 12 so he's been stuck there since he went in. He was supposed to have the day off until around 6pm. I'm so aggravated! We were supposed to get some things done today. Yard work, installing a ceiling fan and cleaning out some trash and boxes and what not. Guess we aren't going to get much of that done. We need to go to Target and return something too so who knows what we'll even get done. Oh well! I'll just get some cleaning done tonight and we'll see.

well they gave me the option of them turning her, but the more i looked into it the more i didnt like the sound of it. my next appt is on wednesday and i think she said they were gonna do another ultrasound to make sure shes still breech and if she is theyll schedule me a c section. and honestly the more i watch these baby story shows where the moms give birth vaginally the more i feel ok with having a c section! the pain looks so scary and intense!! either way though i dont care in the long run. i dont know about you but im ready. im done being pregnant. ive loved every single minute of it and cant wait to do it again one day, but as of now im done! the sleep thing is getting me and so is the head butts to the ribs and kicks to the cervix. i cant do it! you really have to pay for the circ to get done? at our hospital if you tell them you cant afford it they give you a voucher to get it done for free. im not sure if thats medicaid only though. that sucks though! when are you going to the doc next?

My Mother's Day kind of sucked, how was yours? Hopefully better than mine! That's awesome that you had your shower! Did you get a lot? I'm exhausted all the time now too. It sucks. I don't remember getting tired like this towards the end with my first pregnancy. Oh well. My hubbys bosses wife is coming by Wednesday to see our new house. So, I still have a lot I need to get done too. I don't want someone coming to see a trashed house! LOL I can't believe that it's only 4 more weeks, give or take some. That's just crazy!!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! :)Do you have anything special planned? Sorry to say but I don't think the belly would ever stop growing! Feeling like a beached whale are ya? LOL I feel for ya...I really do. Wow time sure does fly...less than five weeks already. That's just crazy! Yep Kamryn is 8 weeks old. She is growing sooo fast it's unreal! I can already see big changes in her. I'm going to get new pics of her put up soon (if not already by the time you read this). She was doing soo good with sleeping most of the night but the past couple nights we've had issues! Ugh the little fart kept me up all night lastnight. Just as I'd start to doze she'd whine. I swear she'd just watch for my eyes to close!! I'm so happy tonight is daddy's night! Hopefully I'll get some sleep. He is such a heavy sleeper though. I'll probably have to wake him to take care of her. Sometimes I wonder if it's just easier for me to do it. OMG I'm soo p*ssed! I wrote you this LOONNGG reply this past weekend and just as I was getting finished, our power surged and my pc went bizerk! So please don't think that I forgot about you. awww that sounds like fun! any help with baby stuff is good. theres so much stuff to get that i never even thought of! im pretty sure im getting an ultrasound next wednesday to confirm shes still breech and if so they will schedule a c section. ive convinced myself im getting one just so im more comfortable with the idea. im hoping theyll let me schedule it may 30th cause the 2nd week in july were going to chicago and i wanna have my 6 week checkup by then! haha. zachs birthday is the 31st so he doesnt know how much he likes the idea of her bday being so close to his. whatever. im pretty sure she hasnt flipped though cause i still feel everything in the same spot. god i hate that bulge!! its a constant pain in my ribs and sleep has become annoying. i just cannot do it! hows your sleep? i even have an awesome maternity pillow and its still not working!

My husband threw his back out today! Fun fun! He went to a chiropractor for the fist time today. Now he has to go 3 times a week!! Our insurance only covers 20 visits!! I don't think I'm going to let him go after that! LOL He'll have to get a part time job just to cover that expense!! So, has your pregnancy been pretty normal? Are you planning on having a vaginal delivery? Are you getting an epidural? I have to have another c-section and not looking forward to it!! :(

strep test? like strep throat? yea i get wic checks and etleast 2 of them for the month say eggs and i also get milk, peanut butter, juice and cheese but some of the things are limited on brands ect... I get more checks cus my son is also on wic....
I feel like the last 8 months i was constipated and now its the opposite man i hate things going all whack. I had like 2 bad dreams last night, i mean curde bloody ones. sometimes i have dreams that i am nursing the baby and i look down and its a monkey but these were horrible. I seem to get gross dreams like every month or 2. So having 2 bad ones in a row. i woke up sweating and when my husband was leaving for work i grabbed him and hugged him just cus i was scared. Kinda weird huh. The pregnancy calculator says only 38 days. I am hoping that i will check the mail in the next few weeks and there will be a giftcard for me to spend on the baby stuff i need. my husband keeps reminding me we need to buy a lawnmower and parts for the vehicle he is working on. Whew alot at once of course.
If your circumcision is free you are lucky. Im trying to figure out where we are gonna get money to pay for it. I guess that week will be a small paycheck! I also was telling my husband that i wont be able to be standing over the baby when they are doing the procedure it will be too hard to see him cry and be one to hold him down. I would rather wait in the hall then nurture my poor baby after its done.
