Hello, My name is Kari. I am 25 years old and live in Montana. I found out that I am pregnant with my first child on October 9th. I am very excited and cannot wait, even though I was completley surprised when I first found out. I am now 8 weeks along. I had my first doctor appointment on Monday, November 5th. I got to see the heartbeat, and it is by far the most beautiful thing I have yet seen in my life :) It was moving around so much in the U/S :) Very Excited!!

Well Tuesday Dec. 4th was my 2nd doctor appointment. I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was a strong 150. It is just so amazing. I recorded it on my cell phone and listen to it as often as possible :) I can't believe I am almost to my 13th week alreay. June will be here before I know it :)

Monday, January 7th I had my 17 week check-up. The nurse had a hard time picking up the heartbeat with the doppler, but told me not to worry because it has plenty of space to hide. Even though she told me not to worry, I had to a little bit. It all worked out for the best though, cause they brought in their little u/s they have and so I got to see the babay again plus see the fast little heartbeat. I could not believe how much my little one had grown since my 8 week appointment. Everything is going well. I am scheduled for my `big ` ultrasound on January 30th. Still don `t know if I want to find out the sex of my baby. I think I will probably just wait, hey, whats another 20 weeks :)

The doctor gave me the following, and I just had to share.....HOW TO KNOW IF WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE READY TO HAVE A BABY1. MESS TESTSmear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Now rub your hands in the wet flower bed and rub on the walls. Cover the stains with crayons. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all summer.2. TOY TESTObtain a 55-gallon box of Legos. (If Legos are not available, you may substitute roofing tracks or broken bottles). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen. Do NOT scream (this could wake a child at night).3. GROCERY STORE TESTBorrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop at the grocery store. Always keep them in site and pay for anything they eat or damage.4. DRESSING TESTObtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bag making sure that all arms stay inside.5. FEEDING TESTObtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water. Suspend from the ceiling with a stout cord. Start the jug swinging. Try to insert spoonfuls of soggy cereal into the mouth of the jug while pretending to be an airplane. Now dump the contents of the jug on the floor.6. NIGHT TESTPrepare by obtaining a small cloth bag and fill it with 8 to 12 pounds of sand. Soak it thoroughly in water. At 8:00PM begin to waltz and hum with the bag until 9:00PM. Lay down you bag and set your alarm for 1o:00PM. Get up, pick your bag, and sing every song you have ever heard. Make up about a dozen more and sing these too until 4:00AM. Set alarm for 5:00AM. Get up and make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful.7. PHYSICAL TEST (WOMEN)Obtain a large bean-bag chair and attach it to the front of your clothes. Leave it there for 9 months. Now remove 10% of the beans.8. PHYSICAL TEST (MEN)Go to the nearest drug store. Set your wallet on the counter. Ask the clerk to help himself. Now proceed to the nearest food store. Go to the head office and arrange for your paycheck to be directly deposited to the store. Purchase a newspaper. Go home and read it quietly for the last time.9. FINAL ASSIGNMENTFind a couple who already have a small child. Lecture them on how they can improve their discipline, patience, tolerance, toilet training and child `s table manners. Suggest many ways they can improve. Emphasize to them that they should never allow their children to run riot. Enjoy this experience. It will be the last time you will have all the answers

Well here I am, 20 weeks today. I can `t believe I am half way done with my pregnancy already!! I have my big ultrasound on Wednesday the 30th. I am probably not going to find out the sex of my baby. Well at least until the birth :) I just can `t wait to see how big my baby has gotten and see all of his/her features that have developed. 20 down and 20 to go!!

ITS A BOY!!! I am so excited. I had my big ultrasound on January 30th!! It was so much fun seeing my baby. I really didn `t want to know the sex of the baby, but the trainee tech kind of let it slip...oops :) Its alright though, I am happy to know! He was healthy with the exception of large kindeys. The doctor told me not to worry about it though, it is pretty common in boys. I will have another u/s in like 6 weeks so they can check on him again :) I am so excited that I will get to see my boy again! I just hope the problem corrects itself.

lol...i agree :) i wish we could plan on when they are coming! I hope things have progressed for you too! Well they didn't do a cervical exam on me last time (37 weeks) but did the time before (36 weeks) and then my cervix was closed, so no dilation or effacement. I am pretty sure when I go tomorrow that they will check me (if not, i will ask!) I think I go through some contractions but I am never really sure. lol. how about you? do u have them? I am definitely going with the lots of walking stategy. lol. Hoping it helps somehow! :)

things are going good for me. can't wait to meet my lil man!! less than 2 weeks from now! (or so i hope!) lol. yep i am workin to the day. no my time off is not paid either. that is partly why i am trying to work as long as i can. i will be using up my vacation time but that will only be about 3 weeks, the other 4-5 i take off wont be paid. which totally sucks :( well at least we got the tax rebate check to cover that :) i thought about declaring the 13th as my last day but knowing my luck (or lack thereof) he would be late and make me eat my time off before he arrived. but who knows when he'll decide to make his grand entrance! lol. otherwise how are you feeling?

Thanks, we think our little girl is quite precious too! She's great, a very mellow baby. Only gets mad at bath time so we couldn't ask for more. When I went for a non stress test (the day my daughter was born) they checked me and found I was 4cm! I was shocked and even told the dr at first not to bother checking because I wasn't even having braxton hicks. Well I'm glad he did because after he found out I was 4cm he stripped my membranes and sent me right to labor and delivery. She was born about 9hours later. You never know how your body is reacting. Good luck and LABOR DUST!!!

Sounds like your plug to me. I didn't have any bleeding when I lost my plug either. Well not initially but I did have some bleeding two days after loosing my plug and had a baby about a week after loosing my plug. Hummmm, maybe things are going to get rolling soon for you!

yea we went ahead and scheduled it for next friday june 6th at 12:30!! im so excited and nervous at the same time. at my last appt i was still a fingertip dialated and was hoping id be more so i could possibly have the chance of going in labor but they said they doubted i would before then. i am so ready to get her out though. i can sleep, eat, go to the bathroom, or anything anymore! i feel like i did when i was first pregnant!

Awww, his little butt!! Isn't that cute?! LOL At least you're making some progress! LOL, there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I am having a great time with my family! I'll be sad when they leave on Tuesday. Ohh.... I lost the rest of my plug yesterday morning. I thought I already lost the whole thing!! Didn't realize there was that much more! LOL

I had a dr. appt yesterday. She said, "It looks like you have a big baby!" She guessed it already being 8lbs!!!! So she'll probably around 9lbs when she's born!! I am still scheduled for June 11th. I tried talking her into earlier and she said she would think about it. My next and last appointment is June 5th, so I'll find out for sure then if she'll take her out earlier!! I hope so!! I dread going to bed at night, knowing I'll have to get up to go to the bathroom. Because the pelvic pain is sooo.... much worse than its been!! How are you doing?? Any signs of labor yet??

Hey there, so did you have your appt today? Hope everything went well. Have they checked your cervix? My dr doesn't check until 4O wks. I feel like since I'm having a scheduled c-section, it's kind of a moot point. As of now, my c-section is scheduled for 6/1O! I really wanted the 6th, but they're booked. :( Oh well. It's kinda weird to know the date. Oh, and at my appt today, she said my fundal height was 47! Can you believe that? It's supposed to be close to the # of wks you are... uh, yeah, that'd put me 9 wks ahead! Just confirms that the c-section is the way for me to go... this child is a monster!
Hope all else is going well for you... are you working up until you deliver? I am, and I'm sooooo sick of working I can hardly stand it. Plus my clothes are getting to small. Thank God for the bella band to help me bridge the gap between my pants & my shirts! :}

Yeah, I am sooo wicked excited! They should be here in like 3hrs. If that! Maybe 2! Yay! LOL I've been having contractions off and on since yesterday. Cayden isn't moving all that much anymore either. Although Chris had his hand on my tummy last night and he was like "Cayden's just movin all over the place!" And I was like huh??? Cuz I couldn't feel him moving! Isn't that weird??

I am so glad that my Dad isn't an alcoholic anymore. He spent 3yrs in jail and got out last Nov, but he was put in rehab and then a halfway house. He graduated from that in Feb and he's been doing great ever since! I won't get to see him until I go back to MA this August. But I talked to him earlier and he said he was going to have to call back and get my address so he could mail out something for Malachi's birthday. I didn't really expect he was going to call back and actually get the address. I thought maybe I'd hear from him in a few days. About an hour later he called! So much different than what it used to be! Broken promises and being let down all the time. I'm so glad that he straightened himself out! Especially for my kids, I want them to know the guy I knew when I was real little. Know what I mean? I'm just so glad for that! I dunno. I'm in a wicked good mood today. Mostly cuz I'm so excited, I'm sure! How is your day going? Hopefully great!

whenever he decides to come! lol. i plan on working up until. I only have a limited amount of time off that is paid so I want to take as much as I can after he is born. My luck is if I took off the friday before he is due (he is due wed the 18th) he would be late and i would use a whole week of time off, which if it wasn't an issue i would do but since it is...working til d-day! lol. how about you? when r u done working and how long are you gonna stay off for?

Well, you should be done with work now! I never get to take naps. It sucks. I always say I'll take one when Malachi does and I never do! I get sidetracked! LOL I slept horribly last night. Kept having a repetitive dream that my water kept breaking. And every time it did, I woke up and was like did my water break?!?!? Nope.. Never did! LOL A picnic sounds like fun! It was only supposed to be about 65 here but it ended up being 77!! And humid!! Yuck! I did all that running around in humidity! LOL and I had jeans on! Horrible! LOL

Ya know, it sounds like maybe you should just up and move home...preferrably BEFORE the little one is born. I know that would be hard to do at this point. But it doesn't sound like Dan is going to be much help to you after the baby is here and you ARE going to need it. My first hubby was like that...couldn't keep a damn job, took my money, etc...so I know how you're feeling.

You owe Dan nothing so don't feel quilty. It was pretty nice Sunday.

I dug up a flower bed and planted some flowers. My yard finally got cleaned up to. But yesterday the rain started AGAIN so haven't been able to venture outside much since. My grass will probably be knee high tomorrow! LOL Kamryn is doing great. She is starting to giggle now and absolutely LOVES to be played with. She is almost out of her 0-3 month clothes already! The little cow eats non-stop it seems like. Thank gawd I don't breast feed! LOL What have you decided to do about that? Well I better get going. If you do decide to head back this way, let me know! Haha! I was actually thinking about picking up beer since my Mom and them will be here tomorrow. I just feel so awkward buying cigarettes or anything like that... I don't know. I really hope that I don't start smoking again once I have the baby. I quit with my first pregnancy and then got drunk one night and smoked and it all went downhill from there. LOL Since Chris is still smoking, I'll probably start again once I have my first beer! Ahhh! Of course we won't smoke in the house though. But yeah, men totally suck! Ohhh and I soooo slam cubboard doors and all that when I do the dishes when I'm in a pissy mood! SLAM SLAM!! LOL

So, I saw a different doctor today because mine wasn't in the office or something. She's on call tonight though, so I can go in to labor! LOL Tomorrow night would be great though since my Mom will be here! If not tomorrow night, then next Monday night. I want to be able to spend as much time as possibly with the family while they're here. My Mom would love to be in the delivery room though.. I told her I put her on the list and she was talking to one of her friends saying how if the baby came while she was there she said "Oh wouldn't that be fun?!" LOL I think she meant to say neat or something but it made me laugh! Well, back to the appt, he didn't check me so I have no idea if I've made any progress. Heart rate was 154... Which is high for him. It's ALWAYS been at 135 or somewhere around there. I haven't gained anymore weight so total gain is still 19lbs. Crazy! He did say that he's measuring at 38wks, which is totally normal for this point in pregnancy. I don't mind as long as he comes while my Mom is here! LOL

I am so FREAKING EXCITED TO SEE THEM! LOL I miss my family so much! Especially my Mom and little sister. I'm trying to make today go buy as fast as possibly and it's kind of working since this morning I had to run ALL over the place! LOL I'll probably have to pick Chris up from work in a couple hours and then get home and make dinner. We're having someone come by sometime tonight to see our new house! That's exciting! I love showing off our house because it's such an accomplishment. I mean, I'm 22 and my husband and I own our own house! I think that's amazing! And he works hard so that I can stay home with Malachi and Cayden, once he's born. I dunno. I'm pretty proud of us. That and we've been married for 4yrs this Sept. There are a lot of couples that get divorced after a year nowadays. It's marriage is a fad or something.

Haha, is my husband any better?! What kind of question is that? LOL He actually had the day off Sunday and Yesterday and guess what?!?! All he did was clean up the kitty litter that Malachi had knocked over.... Because.... I CAN'T CLEAN KITTY LITTER! I swept the floors Sunday while he played ps2. Did the dishes Sunday, while he played ps2. I cleaned and polished the floors yesterday, while he SLEPT! I did laundry yesterday while he was on the computer! I did dishes while he was on the computer. I clean OUR SONS room while he was on the computer. I was bitching the whole time and throwing toys where they went. I know he heard me! Did he ever offer to help? NO! Did he ever say, hey.. Thanks for cleaning! So that put me in a ROTTEN mood! I was a bitch last night! LOL So, to answer your question, NO!!! He isn't any better!!! LOL Now, today, I had my L&D tour so I had to drop him off at work before I went. SO I did that, got to my appt thing.. Finished that and got home and got Malachi some breakfast. Chris(hubby) calls needing change and to make a deposit at the bank (I have the car). Apparently he was running behind on things so he asks me to do it. Of course, I said okay! I was at the freaking bank for 25mins! So I bring the change back to him and go home. I'm home for an hour and he calls. Can you stop by the store and get me cigarettes?!? WTF?!?! I don't want to go buy cigarettes. Wonder what the person at the counter thought.... I bitched at Chris for a while telling him how much of a pain in the ass it is for me to get Malachi in and out of the car and all he says is I don't need an argument just get me some cigarettes. AHHH!!! That realllllly pissed me off! But, guess what? He got his freaking cigarettes cuz I'm such a great wife. He was SUPPOSED to quit smoking during my pregnancy.... HAHA. That's a freaking joke! Wow.... Sorry for blabbing. Guess I needed to get some crap out! Now it's off to my doctors appt! Hopefully things have progressed more!

lol...your getting ready, thats all that matters :) I am ready too, trust me, but it seems that the lil ones get the last say on when they enter the world. I know exactly what u mean though about being this far along. Irritable? yeah. goes between that and just plain ole emotional too. crying over things that are no big deal. lovely hormones :) i am soo sleepy today too. uhh...2 hours left til i go home!! yay! well fingers crossed u will make some progress by thursday. keep me posted! :)

I did have a good weekend. how about you? I officially have everything ready for lil man. His room, bags and mine are packed and in the car as of this morning! :) Just went to the doc today. No dilation or anything. My lil man is head down just not low enough yet. But i got a whole bunch of instructions regarding labor now that i am full term :) so excited...and nervous too. lol. take care honey and keep me posted on any updates :)

Still no baby! I have a doc appt at 2 today so we'll see how that goes. I'm pretty sure I've dilated more. That's awesome that you've gotten mostly everything done! My Mom, sister and step dad will be here tomorrow and I'm so excited! I can't wait! I had my labor & delivery tour today. Put my Mom down on the list of people that can be in the room when I deliver. Hopefully it goes down while she's here! LOL My weekend was alright. Did a TON of cleaning but that's about it. Didn't do anything for Memorial Day. How about you? Did you have a good weekend?

I did i had a GREAT weekend saturday we went o his cousins Graduation Party and Sunday was my baby shower which went a lot better than i thought it would... I got a pack-n-play with the bassinett and changing table and a mobile and i got his car seat and a bunch of clothes and stuff like that i needed so now I'am so Ready for him to come... I had my last baby 12 days b4 i was due and i see you only have 15..... I have to go get my U/S at 3pm to see how he's growing and how everything is going.... I have a feeling I'm going to go in there and they're going to tell me that he weighs almost 6 pounds..... Which i'm hoping for b/c then when i go back to the dr. next week we would set at date for me to be induced.....so heres hoping to he's getting big..... *lol* I've been nesting for like the last week and he has def. dropped you can tell a difference in the way my belly looks and i can eat more and not feel like i'm too full. Well I hope you had an awesome weekend I've got to get ready to get the girls some lunch b4 daddy gets here so that while I'm at the sono. all he has to do is watch them..... Hey, how are you doing? Having a good Memorial day weekend?
I'm doing ok. Had my 37 wk u/s last wk & found out baby is 8.3 lbs. The buddha belly is measuring 3 wks ahead of the rest of the body! My dr actually thinks I got GD, but just later in pregnancy. Probably will be scheduling a c-section for June 6th. I'm feeling ok about it, though. I refuse to do anything to put my baby in jeopardy! My dr thinks this is the best way, and I trust her. Not that I'm psyched about surgery, but I can handle it.
It's so funny b/c I keep reading comments about women who have labor signs, and I don't have a single one! Not "nesting," not even a lot of contractions, etc. Just huge and swollen! :} Oh well. Do you have any signs? Hope you're well!
