Hello, My name is Kari. I am 25 years old and live in Montana. I found out that I am pregnant with my first child on October 9th. I am very excited and cannot wait, even though I was completley surprised when I first found out. I am now 8 weeks along. I had my first doctor appointment on Monday, November 5th. I got to see the heartbeat, and it is by far the most beautiful thing I have yet seen in my life :) It was moving around so much in the U/S :) Very Excited!!

Thursday, 6 Dec
Well Tuesday Dec. 4th was my 2nd doctor appointment. I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was a strong 150. It is just so amazing. I recorded it on my cell phone and listen to it as often as possible :) I can't believe I am almost to my 13th week alreay. June will be here before I know it :)

Friday, 11 Jan
Monday, January 7th I had my 17 week check-up. The nurse had a hard time picking up the heartbeat with the doppler, but told me not to worry because it has plenty of space to hide. Even though she told me not to worry, I had to a little bit. It all worked out for the best though, cause they brought in their little u/s they have and so I got to see the babay again plus see the fast little heartbeat. I could not believe how much my little one had grown since my 8 week appointment. Everything is going well. I am scheduled for my `big ` ultrasound on January 30th. Still don `t know if I want to find out the sex of my baby. I think I will probably just wait, hey, whats another 20 weeks :)

Tuesday, 15 Jan

The doctor gave me the following, and I just had to share.....HOW TO KNOW IF WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE READY TO HAVE A BABY1. MESS TESTSmear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Now rub your hands in the wet flower bed and rub on the walls. Cover the stains with crayons. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all summer.2. TOY TESTObtain a 55-gallon box of Legos. (If Legos are not available, you may substitute roofing tracks or broken bottles). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen. Do NOT scream (this could wake a child at night).3. GROCERY STORE TESTBorrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop at the grocery store. Always keep them in site and pay for anything they eat or damage.4. DRESSING TESTObtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bag making sure that all arms stay inside.5. FEEDING TESTObtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water. Suspend from the ceiling with a stout cord. Start the jug swinging. Try to insert spoonfuls of soggy cereal into the mouth of the jug while pretending to be an airplane. Now dump the contents of the jug on the floor.6. NIGHT TESTPrepare by obtaining a small cloth bag and fill it with 8 to 12 pounds of sand. Soak it thoroughly in water. At 8:00PM begin to waltz and hum with the bag until 9:00PM. Lay down you bag and set your alarm for 1o:00PM. Get up, pick your bag, and sing every song you have ever heard. Make up about a dozen more and sing these too until 4:00AM. Set alarm for 5:00AM. Get up and make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful.7. PHYSICAL TEST (WOMEN)Obtain a large bean-bag chair and attach it to the front of your clothes. Leave it there for 9 months. Now remove 10% of the beans.8. PHYSICAL TEST (MEN)Go to the nearest drug store. Set your wallet on the counter. Ask the clerk to help himself. Now proceed to the nearest food store. Go to the head office and arrange for your paycheck to be directly deposited to the store. Purchase a newspaper. Go home and read it quietly for the last time.9. FINAL ASSIGNMENTFind a couple who already have a small child. Lecture them on how they can improve their discipline, patience, tolerance, toilet training and child `s table manners. Suggest many ways they can improve. Emphasize to them that they should never allow their children to run riot. Enjoy this experience. It will be the last time you will have all the answers

Well here I am, 20 weeks today. I can `t believe I am half way done with my pregnancy already!! I have my big ultrasound on Wednesday the 30th. I am probably not going to find out the sex of my baby. Well at least until the birth :) I just can `t wait to see how big my baby has gotten and see all of his/her features that have developed. 20 down and 20 to go!!

Saturday, 9 Feb

ITS A BOY!!! I am so excited. I had my big ultrasound on January 30th!! It was so much fun seeing my baby. I really didn `t want to know the sex of the baby, but the trainee tech kind of let it slip...oops :) Its alright though, I am happy to know! He was healthy with the exception of large kindeys. The doctor told me not to worry about it though, it is pretty common in boys. I will have another u/s in like 6 weeks so they can check on him again :) I am so excited that I will get to see my boy again! I just hope the problem corrects itself.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! :)Do you have anything special planned? Sorry to say but I don't think the belly would ever stop growing! Feeling like a beached whale are ya? LOL I feel for ya...I really do. Wow time sure does fly...less than five weeks already. That's just crazy! Yep Kamryn is 8 weeks old. She is growing sooo fast it's unreal! I can already see big changes in her. I'm going to get new pics of her put up soon (if not already by the time you read this). She was doing soo good with sleeping most of the night but the past couple nights we've had issues! Ugh the little fart kept me up all night lastnight. Just as I'd start to doze she'd whine. I swear she'd just watch for my eyes to close!! I'm so happy tonight is daddy's night! Hopefully I'll get some sleep. He is such a heavy sleeper though. I'll probably have to wake him to take care of her. Sometimes I wonder if it's just easier for me to do it. LOL Well I better get going. I hope to hear from you soon. Take care of yourself.

OMG I'm soo p*ssed! I wrote you this LOONNGG reply this past weekend and just as I was getting finished, our power surged and my pc went bizerk! So please don't think that I forgot about you. This is the 1st time I've gotten long enough time to reply since! So this is the weekend huh? Are you nervous? I don't really know what to say to help you out or make you feel better 'cause I've never been in that situation, but I'm sure everything will be just fine. So how are you feeling? June is just right around the corner! Yippee! Well crap I better git...Sorry I have to cut this short.

awww that sounds like fun! any help with baby stuff is good. theres so much stuff to get that i never even thought of! im pretty sure im getting an ultrasound next wednesday to confirm shes still breech and if so they will schedule a c section. ive convinced myself im getting one just so im more comfortable with the idea. im hoping theyll let me schedule it may 30th cause the 2nd week in july were going to chicago and i wanna have my 6 week checkup by then! haha. zachs birthday is the 31st so he doesnt know how much he likes the idea of her bday being so close to his. whatever. im pretty sure she hasnt flipped though cause i still feel everything in the same spot. god i hate that bulge!! its a constant pain in my ribs and sleep has become annoying. i just cannot do it! hows your sleep? i even have an awesome maternity pillow and its still not working!

Notesfam - Thursday, 8 May
My husband threw his back out today! Fun fun! He went to a chiropractor for the fist time today. Now he has to go 3 times a week!! Our insurance only covers 20 visits!! I don't think I'm going to let him go after that! LOL He'll have to get a part time job just to cover that expense!! So, has your pregnancy been pretty normal? Are you planning on having a vaginal delivery? Are you getting an epidural? I have to have another c-section and not looking forward to it!! :(

jess84 - Wednesday, 7 May
strep test? like strep throat? yea i get wic checks and etleast 2 of them for the month say eggs and i also get milk, peanut butter, juice and cheese but some of the things are limited on brands ect... I get more checks cus my son is also on wic....
I feel like the last 8 months i was constipated and now its the opposite man i hate things going all whack. I had like 2 bad dreams last night, i mean curde bloody ones. sometimes i have dreams that i am nursing the baby and i look down and its a monkey but these were horrible. I seem to get gross dreams like every month or 2. So having 2 bad ones in a row. i woke up sweating and when my husband was leaving for work i grabbed him and hugged him just cus i was scared. Kinda weird huh. The pregnancy calculator says only 38 days. I am hoping that i will check the mail in the next few weeks and there will be a giftcard for me to spend on the baby stuff i need. my husband keeps reminding me we need to buy a lawnmower and parts for the vehicle he is working on. Whew alot at once of course.
If your circumcision is free you are lucky. Im trying to figure out where we are gonna get money to pay for it. I guess that week will be a small paycheck! I also was telling my husband that i wont be able to be standing over the baby when they are doing the procedure it will be too hard to see him cry and be one to hold him down. I would rather wait in the hall then nurture my poor baby after its done.

I wish I've been so busy. Well, I suppose there are things that I could be doing just really don't care to! lol- I did clean a bit today. We have woodfloors throughout our house so that's a pain. Not to mention having a big, very fluffy white dog that sheds constantly! So, I swept and then cleaned and polished all the floors. Yuck. That was a pain in the butt! That would be awesome if you've got Dan on board with the cleaning and everything. Apparently since I'm at home all day, I have to do ALL the cleaning. Not to mention take care of a 3yr old and make sure all the bills are paid on time. I'm sorry, but I can not wash the dog. I can just imagine it! And the poor thing, Malachi got blue paint on it's butt! Oh, I am pre registered at the hospital so when I go in for delivery all I have to do is sign some papers. I do have an appt to go in for the tour and everything. I do that on May 27th, unless Cayden decides to come a little bit early! On the 27th, I'll be almost 38wks! lol But then on the 28th my Mom and sister and step father get here. Man, I can't wait to see them! I'm soooo excited! Anyway, I'm waiting on the packages that I ordered for the nursery. A couple things should be here today and one of Malachi's birthday presents just got delivered. The other two are being delivered by UPS though. The area rug and set of mirrors should be here. The mirrors are so cute! I ordered them from target... It's 4 8x8 mirrors that have animals designs on them. I hope they come soon! I can't wait to hang them up and put the rug down! Then I just have the hamper and thing of wall decorations to be delivered. But I still have to go out and buy a glider or some kind of chair and ottoman and a plant or two. And I am waiting on the MIL to make the curtains. If I can find some of those monkeys with the velcro hands, I need to pick them up. I used to see them everywhere and now that I want some I can't find them!!!

Hey, I'm sure you'll have a great time at the shower. It's not selfish to want to know what in the heck you're getting! :} In fact, I'm so bad I occasionally check my registry to see if anything has been bought from it. I'm terrible! I just was hoping we'd get some of the big ticket items... but I can't complain, especially since I got a $18O gift card from my last shower! But I still have several expensive items to get... breast pump, stroller & car seat, etc. We really want a jogging stroller too, but I doubt we can get it all! I dont' want to be greedy...
I started a new job yesterday. It's going well, but I'm soooo tired out. It's hard to try and act like I have all this energy when all I want to do is sleep! Oh well. They're not giving me too much responsibility until I'm back from my leave so I can't complain. I just can't believe how little energy I have. I remember people saying the 1st & 3rd trimester are the worst, and I'm thinking this trimester is wayyyy worse than the 1st! Oh well. As one of my co-workers pointed out, I'll probably miss my bump after I have the baby!
I started making phone calls yesterday for day care. :( Kind of mad me sad. Gotta face up to the music though. I haven't even met my little one but the thought of putting him/her in daycare just kills me.

Notesfam - Tuesday, 6 May
It probably your pelvic bones ajusting and getting ready for labor!! When do you take your pregnancy leave? How long do you get off? June needs to hurry up and get here!!! I didn't think I would ever say this, but I'm tired of being pregnant!!! I loved being pregnant with my other two, but this one is killing me!! Talk to you soon!

jess84 - Tuesday, 6 May
I am on mediacaid as is my 3 year old and so wil this baby and they say medicaid no longer covers circumcisions. I wish it were not true but its gonna cost us like $230 to get it done. I am on wic also and have been since my 1st pregnancy. as for as food stamps i tried just cus i thought it would help. but apperantly we make too much to qualify for that. Good luck though. Wic does help sometimes i give my xtra stuff away cus i dont eat a dozen eggs a day lol :)

preciousangels2 - Tuesday, 6 May
I know, I'm so glad that I have the chance to stay home. Not everyone can afford it. I hate school too, but once I get the chance to go and finish it, it'll totally be worth it. I want to be able to bring my kids up somewhat well off. I don't want to have to worry about money. My MIL lives about 3 1/2 hours away but with her driving, I'd say closer to a 4hr drive! We did live about 10mins from her before we moved. So yeah, we have no relatives nearby and I don't know a soul here! Except my doctor and nurses!! lol

knockoutmom - Monday, 5 May
i feel the same way. i want her to be here but at the same time i dont want to rush it cause theres still so much to do! the nursery is starting to look a lot nicer since most of the stuff zach put together the other day. it actually looks like a real room! still a bunch of gift bags full of crap everywhere though. i feel my baby move up, down and on the right side of me. i cant figure out what the big buldge is on the right. i had her put the u/s wand thingy on there and she looked real quick and was like oh probaly just limbs. she did the quickest u/s and yet i still pay full price for it. that sucks! they said theyre giving me another at my next checkup and im asking for measurements and weight and even a picture. i want it all!

KimBoystun - Monday, 5 May
Hey, how was your weekend? Mine was ok.. I think i am going to have this baby any day now.. I stated having contractions saturday night, I have had 6 in the 48 hours. And i just have that feeling. I called my doctor on sunday and he said to call him if they get 10 minutes apart which is pretty scary, im not ready to have my baby.. I atleast want to be 37 weeks before i go into labor. How are you feeling? I wish we lived close to each other so we could hang out!! Well i guess i'm going to try and get some work done! Have a good day!

Notesfam - Monday, 5 May
I am finally feeling better!! Thank goodness! I've never had the cracking feeling inside?! Did you call your doctor? What did they think it is? The only pain I get is all the pressure and the pelvic pain when I roll over in bed. Let me know what the doctor said! Talk to you soon!

mplsmama - Sunday, 4 May
Yeah, keep me posted on the shower gifts! That's aweseome. We have our last shower on 5/17 so I'm trying to hold off on buying anything more until after the last shower. It's killing me though! I'm a total planner so I hate that the nursery isn't totally ready yet. My hubby is kinda freaking out too that we don't have a car seat yet. Oh well. Now that I'm measuing 2 wks ahead, and I keep thinking I'll go early, knowing my luck I'll probably end up going late or something... and we probably have plenty of time to take care of buying stuff! But ya just never know...
I sure hope your mom will be able to be there for the birth, too. That's nice that your dr is willing to work w/ you on that stuff. It'll be important to have as much help as possible for those 1st few days too! And I don't know if your mother in law is in the picture or not, but there's something about being able to tell your own mother to back-off that's a lot easier than telling your mother in law. So I'm glad my mom isn't too far away & can help out, b/c I really don't want my mother in law helping out. She'll probably piss me off & then get all offended if I ask her to stop doing something. Actually, she probably won't offer to help out anyway so I doubt I have much to worry about! She'll want to see our baby & show him/her off to her friends, but she won't want to actually lend a helping hand... that's just how she is.
Hope you're having a great weekend! I actually start a new job tomorrow... can you believe that? I'm soooo tired out, I have no idea how I'm going to train for this new job! Wish me luck...

jess84 - Sunday, 4 May
i think i am already pre registered cus the midwives i see only deliver at the hospital that i am talking about. Not to mention i have had all of my ultrasounds there. Something i need to worry about next is having money to get my son circumsized after he is born. But im sure we will figure something out. And i am still waiting for my mom to buy the baby swing ect... but finally the bed is set up minus the bedding.

knockoutmom - Sunday, 4 May
i know the feeling. being kicked by a breech baby is a pain! literally! she kicks me straight down which gives me these horrible sharp stabbing pains like shes trying to come out. it sucks!! i think we're about to go out and buy a few of the last baby things we need right now then get some ice cream! im really gonna miss being pregnant because of all the ice cream zach lets me eat. usually he'll say something about it but he knows good and well not to get in between me and a craving. hope you had a good work day! what do you do?

preciousangels2 - Sunday, 4 May
Promotions are always great, especially when you're having a 2nd child! We were sort of worrying about money. I was actually still working before we moved out here. I stay at home with Malachi until he was 1 1/2 and then he went to daycare. I loved staying at home with him but we just couldn't afford it! Now that we'll have two, I would just be working to pay for childcare! But since my hubby got that promotion, we aren't worried about money and we can afford for me to stay at home! I was never really planning on being a SAHM. But I really don't want anyone else raising my kids, and I'm soooo lucky that I have the opportunity to stay at home with them! You should definitely try to build up some clientele. I was actually thinking of going to school for massage therapy too. At first, when I still in high school, I was thinking about Physical Therapy but that requires about 6-8yrs of school. I really don't want to spend that much time, plus I would have to go part time! Ahhh! lol. I'm still either thinking of Massage Therapy or Nursing. I think I will most likely go with Nursing and try to get a job in L&D as an OB nurse! But that won't be until my oldest starts school, which will be in 2yrs. I can't believe it!!!!! Anyway, I know what you mean about feeling weird to ask your MIL to come out. I feel weird just asking mine to babysit!!! LOL

preciousangels2 - Saturday, 3 May
Yeah, my hubby was the manager and then his boss offered to make him partner so now he actually owns the Papa Murphy's up here. Once things get calmed down, they are even going to open up another store. I'm sure by then they'll have the people they need so that he can actually have a day off and work normal hours! Anyway, if you want his mother there, talk to her about it! It seems like the perfect time for them to come out for a visit! It's nice and sunny out here, but it's kind of chilly, in the 50's. Tomorrow it's supposed to be around 70 and sunny so hopefully I can get outside then.

knockoutmom - Saturday, 3 May
im having a hard time pre registering, too for my hospital. my new insurance card hasnt came in the mail yet since i got added on zachs insurance, so im just playing the waiting game right now. everytime i go to the doc im somehow not asked for my new car yet. my old insurance expired april 1st! i have a feeling this new one is gonna be crappy, too. ughhh. i hate money. i wish i won the lotto! thats gotta be hard not having a computer. you somehow have to post some pics of your little one when you have him! its gonna be so weird having a baby. just thinking about it is weird! our lives are gonna be so different!! i say im ready, but then again i wonder if i am!

preciousangels2 - Saturday, 3 May
Yeah, since we just moved and he bought this store, he's had to fix a lot of crap and reorganize everything because the previous owner just messed everything all up! The average wait time was 40 minutes. My hubby has got it down to 3 minutes! Talk about a cut in wait times! I don't know if you have Papa Murphys where you live but that's where he works, and he's so proud of himself. Well, I am too but it was a big step for us. Moved to a new city where we don't know anyone and bought our first house and he is a business owner now! It's crazy! That stinks that you haven't met your MIL yet. How far away does she live? I wish my Mom could be here for the birth but I don't know. It all depends when Cayden decides to make his grand entrance! She'll be here May 28th to June 3rd and I'm not due until June 13th!!

KimBoystun - Saturday, 3 May
Hey girl, how are you doing? I am doing ok, still exhausted but im feeling better! I just took off a couple of days because i was wore out. This job can be very exhausting, i spend alot of time on my feet walking around. I probably see around 3 to 4 customers a day, but i spend 2 to 3 hours with each.. So it sounds like you got a lot to do before Dans son gets there?? Is Dan excited? How long is he staying with ya'll? I think i'm just about ready for the baby, i got my bags packed, the nursery is complete.. I just need my baby now! Oh and i am so ready for 8 weeks off... How about u?

preciousangels2 - Saturday, 3 May
I wish I was glad it was Saturday! I used to be so happy once Saturday came around. Now it just doesn't matter what day it is! Hubby is always working and I'm always home alone with Malachi and the dog. My MIL will be coming out to visit soon, which will be nice. I'm one of the lucky ones that gets along with her MIL. LOL. But, I will actually have someone to spend time with other than my 3 year old! Anyway, I know what you mean about getting the house cleaned. Since we just bought this house, it kinda of needed a lot of cleaning and we're still kind of unpacking! Well, I am at least. Since hubby works all the time, he doesn't really have the energy or the time to help out. It sucks but I'll deal with it, things will eventually get settled! My Mom, sister and step father are coming to visit on the 28th so I would like to have a lot done by then. Oh, and I did get things for the nursery ordered. They should all be here by the 15th, which is great! I can't wait to get that finished! I've already read that BH contractions weren't painful. That's some BS! My mom said she got them horrible with me. I didn't have them at all with my first, but I get them every now and then this time around, either that or they're real contractions, just not strong enough to do much. Well, have a good day at work and enjoy your day off tomorrow!

knockoutmom - Saturday, 3 May
im trying to keep an open mind, too. ive almost come to terms with having a c section now. in a way it made things more real. i dont know why, but now it all just kind of hit me in the face like a ton of bricks. shes gonna be here soon! we're all gonna be complaining about new things rather than pregnancy! haha. do you plan on coming back to this site after your little one is born? i definitely do. we all got big together and i would hate to just lose touch with everyone! it was like my little pregnancy support group! oh god, now im getting emotional. hahah! ill let myself cry though, zachs not here. hes at daddy boot camp today! what i wouldnt give to be a fly on the wall in that classroom!! a bunch of clueless men sitting around learning about something totally foreign to them, priceless!! anyways, whens your next appt? mines may 14th, then i find out for sure whats goin on!

knockoutmom - Saturday, 3 May
hey! ive been doing good. pretty eventful last couple weeks. we had our childbirth classes which we both thought were a whole lot of fun, then we had another shower which was great since we ended up getting a ton of small stuff like clothes and burp cloths, etc, and then the other day i had my 34 weeks checkup and she did an u/s and found that riley was breech! i was soooo disappointed, but as the days go on im kinda actually feeling a bit relieved. i would have to get a c section so that would mean i would get to be able to chose when i want her bday and i can actually mentally prepare for it instead of trying to give birth vaginally and having to have an emergency c section. im trying to focus on the positives of it because if not i freak out! its weird to know that we're full term in 3 weeks! i cant believe that! time really has gone by quickly. thats so awesome you get a baby shower! when is it? did you get to register anywhere? i just did target. babys r us is like a whole different world. i feel lost when i go in there!
