Hello, My name is Kari. I am 25 years old and live in Montana. I found out that I am pregnant with my first child on October 9th. I am very excited and cannot wait, even though I was completley surprised when I first found out. I am now 8 weeks along. I had my first doctor appointment on Monday, November 5th. I got to see the heartbeat, and it is by far the most beautiful thing I have yet seen in my life :) It was moving around so much in the U/S :) Very Excited!!

Thursday, 6 Dec
Well Tuesday Dec. 4th was my 2nd doctor appointment. I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It was a strong 150. It is just so amazing. I recorded it on my cell phone and listen to it as often as possible :) I can't believe I am almost to my 13th week alreay. June will be here before I know it :)

Friday, 11 Jan
Monday, January 7th I had my 17 week check-up. The nurse had a hard time picking up the heartbeat with the doppler, but told me not to worry because it has plenty of space to hide. Even though she told me not to worry, I had to a little bit. It all worked out for the best though, cause they brought in their little u/s they have and so I got to see the babay again plus see the fast little heartbeat. I could not believe how much my little one had grown since my 8 week appointment. Everything is going well. I am scheduled for my `big ` ultrasound on January 30th. Still don `t know if I want to find out the sex of my baby. I think I will probably just wait, hey, whats another 20 weeks :)

Tuesday, 15 Jan

The doctor gave me the following, and I just had to share.....HOW TO KNOW IF WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE READY TO HAVE A BABY1. MESS TESTSmear peanut butter on the sofa and curtains. Now rub your hands in the wet flower bed and rub on the walls. Cover the stains with crayons. Place a fish stick behind the couch and leave it there all summer.2. TOY TESTObtain a 55-gallon box of Legos. (If Legos are not available, you may substitute roofing tracks or broken bottles). Have a friend spread them all over the house. Put on a blindfold. Try to walk to the bathroom or kitchen. Do NOT scream (this could wake a child at night).3. GROCERY STORE TESTBorrow one or two small animals (goats are best) and take them with you as you shop at the grocery store. Always keep them in site and pay for anything they eat or damage.4. DRESSING TESTObtain one large, unhappy, live octopus. Stuff into a small net bag making sure that all arms stay inside.5. FEEDING TESTObtain a large plastic milk jug. Fill halfway with water. Suspend from the ceiling with a stout cord. Start the jug swinging. Try to insert spoonfuls of soggy cereal into the mouth of the jug while pretending to be an airplane. Now dump the contents of the jug on the floor.6. NIGHT TESTPrepare by obtaining a small cloth bag and fill it with 8 to 12 pounds of sand. Soak it thoroughly in water. At 8:00PM begin to waltz and hum with the bag until 9:00PM. Lay down you bag and set your alarm for 1o:00PM. Get up, pick your bag, and sing every song you have ever heard. Make up about a dozen more and sing these too until 4:00AM. Set alarm for 5:00AM. Get up and make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful.7. PHYSICAL TEST (WOMEN)Obtain a large bean-bag chair and attach it to the front of your clothes. Leave it there for 9 months. Now remove 10% of the beans.8. PHYSICAL TEST (MEN)Go to the nearest drug store. Set your wallet on the counter. Ask the clerk to help himself. Now proceed to the nearest food store. Go to the head office and arrange for your paycheck to be directly deposited to the store. Purchase a newspaper. Go home and read it quietly for the last time.9. FINAL ASSIGNMENTFind a couple who already have a small child. Lecture them on how they can improve their discipline, patience, tolerance, toilet training and child `s table manners. Suggest many ways they can improve. Emphasize to them that they should never allow their children to run riot. Enjoy this experience. It will be the last time you will have all the answers

Well here I am, 20 weeks today. I can `t believe I am half way done with my pregnancy already!! I have my big ultrasound on Wednesday the 30th. I am probably not going to find out the sex of my baby. Well at least until the birth :) I just can `t wait to see how big my baby has gotten and see all of his/her features that have developed. 20 down and 20 to go!!

Saturday, 9 Feb

ITS A BOY!!! I am so excited. I had my big ultrasound on January 30th!! It was so much fun seeing my baby. I really didn `t want to know the sex of the baby, but the trainee tech kind of let it slip...oops :) Its alright though, I am happy to know! He was healthy with the exception of large kindeys. The doctor told me not to worry about it though, it is pretty common in boys. I will have another u/s in like 6 weeks so they can check on him again :) I am so excited that I will get to see my boy again! I just hope the problem corrects itself.

Promotions are always great, especially when you're having a 2nd child! We were sort of worrying about money. I was actually still working before we moved out here. I stay at home with Malachi until he was 1 1/2 and then he went to daycare. I loved staying at home with him but we just couldn't afford it! Now that we'll have two, I would just be working to pay for childcare! But since my hubby got that promotion, we aren't worried about money and we can afford for me to stay at home! I was never really planning on being a SAHM. But I really don't want anyone else raising my kids, and I'm soooo lucky that I have the opportunity to stay at home with them! You should definitely try to build up some clientele. I was actually thinking of going to school for massage therapy too. At first, when I still in high school, I was thinking about Physical Therapy but that requires about 6-8yrs of school. I really don't want to spend that much time, plus I would have to go part time! Ahhh! lol. I'm still either thinking of Massage Therapy or Nursing. I think I will most likely go with Nursing and try to get a job in L&D as an OB nurse! But that won't be until my oldest starts school, which will be in 2yrs. I can't believe it!!!!! Anyway, I know what you mean about feeling weird to ask your MIL to come out. I feel weird just asking mine to babysit!!! LOL

preciousangels2 - Saturday, 3 May
Yeah, my hubby was the manager and then his boss offered to make him partner so now he actually owns the Papa Murphy's up here. Once things get calmed down, they are even going to open up another store. I'm sure by then they'll have the people they need so that he can actually have a day off and work normal hours! Anyway, if you want his mother there, talk to her about it! It seems like the perfect time for them to come out for a visit! It's nice and sunny out here, but it's kind of chilly, in the 50's. Tomorrow it's supposed to be around 70 and sunny so hopefully I can get outside then.

im having a hard time pre registering, too for my hospital. my new insurance card hasnt came in the mail yet since i got added on zachs insurance, so im just playing the waiting game right now. everytime i go to the doc im somehow not asked for my new car yet. my old insurance expired april 1st! i have a feeling this new one is gonna be crappy, too. ughhh. i hate money. i wish i won the lotto! thats gotta be hard not having a computer. you somehow have to post some pics of your little one when you have him! its gonna be so weird having a baby. just thinking about it is weird! our lives are gonna be so different!! i say im ready, but then again i wonder if i am!

preciousangels2 - Saturday, 3 May
Yeah, since we just moved and he bought this store, he's had to fix a lot of crap and reorganize everything because the previous owner just messed everything all up! The average wait time was 40 minutes. My hubby has got it down to 3 minutes! Talk about a cut in wait times! I don't know if you have Papa Murphys where you live but that's where he works, and he's so proud of himself. Well, I am too but it was a big step for us. Moved to a new city where we don't know anyone and bought our first house and he is a business owner now! It's crazy! That stinks that you haven't met your MIL yet. How far away does she live? I wish my Mom could be here for the birth but I don't know. It all depends when Cayden decides to make his grand entrance! She'll be here May 28th to June 3rd and I'm not due until June 13th!!

KimBoystun - Saturday, 3 May
Hey girl, how are you doing? I am doing ok, still exhausted but im feeling better! I just took off a couple of days because i was wore out. This job can be very exhausting, i spend alot of time on my feet walking around. I probably see around 3 to 4 customers a day, but i spend 2 to 3 hours with each.. So it sounds like you got a lot to do before Dans son gets there?? Is Dan excited? How long is he staying with ya'll? I think i'm just about ready for the baby, i got my bags packed, the nursery is complete.. I just need my baby now! Oh and i am so ready for 8 weeks off... How about u?

preciousangels2 - Saturday, 3 May
I wish I was glad it was Saturday! I used to be so happy once Saturday came around. Now it just doesn't matter what day it is! Hubby is always working and I'm always home alone with Malachi and the dog. My MIL will be coming out to visit soon, which will be nice. I'm one of the lucky ones that gets along with her MIL. LOL. But, I will actually have someone to spend time with other than my 3 year old! Anyway, I know what you mean about getting the house cleaned. Since we just bought this house, it kinda of needed a lot of cleaning and we're still kind of unpacking! Well, I am at least. Since hubby works all the time, he doesn't really have the energy or the time to help out. It sucks but I'll deal with it, things will eventually get settled! My Mom, sister and step father are coming to visit on the 28th so I would like to have a lot done by then. Oh, and I did get things for the nursery ordered. They should all be here by the 15th, which is great! I can't wait to get that finished! I've already read that BH contractions weren't painful. That's some BS! My mom said she got them horrible with me. I didn't have them at all with my first, but I get them every now and then this time around, either that or they're real contractions, just not strong enough to do much. Well, have a good day at work and enjoy your day off tomorrow!

im trying to keep an open mind, too. ive almost come to terms with having a c section now. in a way it made things more real. i dont know why, but now it all just kind of hit me in the face like a ton of bricks. shes gonna be here soon! we're all gonna be complaining about new things rather than pregnancy! haha. do you plan on coming back to this site after your little one is born? i definitely do. we all got big together and i would hate to just lose touch with everyone! it was like my little pregnancy support group! oh god, now im getting emotional. hahah! ill let myself cry though, zachs not here. hes at daddy boot camp today! what i wouldnt give to be a fly on the wall in that classroom!! a bunch of clueless men sitting around learning about something totally foreign to them, priceless!! anyways, whens your next appt? mines may 14th, then i find out for sure whats goin on!

knockoutmom - Saturday, 3 May
hey! ive been doing good. pretty eventful last couple weeks. we had our childbirth classes which we both thought were a whole lot of fun, then we had another shower which was great since we ended up getting a ton of small stuff like clothes and burp cloths, etc, and then the other day i had my 34 weeks checkup and she did an u/s and found that riley was breech! i was soooo disappointed, but as the days go on im kinda actually feeling a bit relieved. i would have to get a c section so that would mean i would get to be able to chose when i want her bday and i can actually mentally prepare for it instead of trying to give birth vaginally and having to have an emergency c section. im trying to focus on the positives of it because if not i freak out! its weird to know that we're full term in 3 weeks! i cant believe that! time really has gone by quickly. thats so awesome you get a baby shower! when is it? did you get to register anywhere? i just did target. babys r us is like a whole different world. i feel lost when i go in there!

jess84 - Friday, 2 May
boy i agree with the lazier and bigger comment. I feel that alot. I had a ultrasound today and the baby actually let us see his face and all the pain i was in last night didnt lead to anything he is still low but levels are all good and no dialation(dang) naw i can wait a few weeks but hopefully not longer than 38. I read up on how to self induce labor it was kinda interseting. Not that i would try till like week 36 though. well i better load my new ultrasound pic. ttyl if not have a great weekend!! hopefully my huby gets the babies bed set up.

KimBoystun - Friday, 2 May
Thanks Girl!! Sorry I am just now getting back to you, i have taken off work the last couple of days! I feel better today, thanks for letting me vent the other day! So how are you feeling? I went to do my weekly thing today (sono, NST, Doctors appt.) Everything looked great he said, so i think that is what put me in a good mood! So how is the weather there? It is almost 90 here.. So, so hot! Well girl i better get some work done, I hope you are doing good! Talk to you soon!:)

mplsmama - Friday, 2 May
Hey thanks for checking in, and again sorry I'm slow to respond! I really did just fine on the day I was dreading... it ended up being a beautiful day weather-wise, and I was sworn into the bar. Very ironic that the day I was due to give birth to my 1st, I ended up being sworn into the bar instead. I guess everything happens for a reason...
That's so awesome that you're going to get a shower! I'm so excited for you! I totally know what you mean about not liking being the center of attention... I'm the same way. I'm a pretty outgoing person, but knowing that all eyes are on you is just weird. I had a shower at my work on Tues though, and let me tell you, it was awesome! We got a $18O gift card to Babies R Us which was great! We also got a beautiful handmade blanket, a onesie and a crib toy. I felt so lucky to have such generous co-workers.
So, I had my appt & u/s today... it's been confirmed... I'm carrying a huge baby! They estimate s/he is already 6 1/2 lbs! Yikes! So my dr says if I make it to 4O wks, s/he'll be minimally 9 1/2 lbs, and possibly more. So.... I'm likely having a c-section. I went into the appt adamently against the idea, but then she told me the risks associated w/ a vaginal birth w/ that large of a child, and I decided now I think I'd almost prefer a c-section! So, it's kind of a matter of when I go into labor. If I went soon, I could probably have a vaginal birth. I will get another u/s at 37 wks to see where things are at at that point.
On a brighter note, I got some awesome pics of my little one's face! She even gave me a few 4D shots. It was soooo cool to see his/her little face! She also could tell s/he already has hair! How cute is that?
Hope you're doing well....

preciousangels2 - Thursday, 1 May
I did end up making the chicken. Didn't want to have to throw it away. I can't wait for dinner tonight though, I'm making barbecue chicken! Yumm!!! I've heard the same thing about induced contractions too. And honestly, I don't know how it can be any worse than it already is!! With my first I still felt every contraction even through the 2 epidurals I had. I so know what you mean about getting nothing done. Night time is when I want to get crap done but can't because it's usually my sons bedroom that I want to deal with, but he's up there sleeping when I think about doing it. I said to myself last night that we would do it today, that hasn't happened, but I have unpacked some more things and taken a box down to the basement. Guess that counts for something!

Notesfam - Thursday, 1 May
I am in soo..... much pain!! I have the worst hemmoroids ever!! This pregnancy is just taking a toll on me! It was so bad monday, I couldn't even fall asleep that night. I was up all night. I finally went to the doctor on tuesday and he prescribed me some numbing gel, which helps a lot!! I am still in a lot of pain though. Baths everyday!! How are you doing?

me6 - Thursday, 1 May
We got the weather but it was very short lived. Supposed to snow/rain/crap tomorrow! Yeah my yard DID dry! LOL One room a day is an achievable goal...for most! LOL I have to clean every room a little everyday just to keep on top of everything! I feel like I'm constantly chase my tail! I haven't really been doing much computer business. I started my summer job. I make Native American jewelry for places like Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Cedar Pass, etc. That keeps me pretty busy from March to Sept. I bet your parents end up staying longer if he's born towards the end of their vacation. You probably won't be able to pry him away from your mom! LOL So how are you feeling these days? Ready for June to be here yet? I'm ready for some pics I know that. Hopefully it won't get too hot before you deliver. I swear to you, that is the worst, being pregnant during hot weather. Well my little princess is crying me name so I better get. Sorry to cut it short. I hope to hear from you soon....=)

jess84 - Wednesday, 30 April
Yea the cleaning thing really has to be planned in my mind. The 2 rooms i have conquered get messed up by my son each day. I am thinking about doing my room or the kitchen today. I think my room will be easier though so maybe that is what i will do. I woke up with a horrible charlie horse in my calf. The muscle just wouldnt stop. I was teared up trying to massage it out and everything and my son tells me"mommy does ur leg hurt"? and he tried to help me rub it but it hurt so bad i told him to go in the other room. As far as appts go at mine yesterday they said they will start doing a weekly biophysical profile. Which i never had done with my 1st. Boy it will feel so good by the time its 4th of july to have my baby out and be working on gettin my body back and relaxing a little. ! Have a good day!!

preciousangels2 - Wednesday, 30 April
Maybe I'll just kinda mention it to her at my next appt. See what she has to say. But yeah, it does feel unnatural to me too. I mean, babies come when they're ready. What if he isn't ready to leave the womb yet? Just kinda makes me nervous. But I want him soooo bad! lol And I want my mom to be there. I know it would mean a lot to her. Yeah, it sucks that hubby has to work. I was planning on making a nice yummy dinner with the works and now I just don't wanna do it. What's the point? But, I have to cook the chicken or else it'll go bad. lol

preciousangels2 - Wednesday, 30 April
Oh yeah, about the Mother's Day thing, you should totally get something! When I was pregnant with my first, I wasn't due until May 27th but both my husband and my MIL got me Mother's Day gifts! It was awesome!

preciousangels2 - Wednesday, 30 April
The weather was real nice today but hubby got a call from work and had to go in. It sucks. He only gets 1 day off a week and he always ends up having to work anyway. I hate it! I told him that it CAN NOT be like that once June rolls around. That's awesome that you've gained 19lbs so far. That's about where I'm at too. Thank goodness! lol I so know what you mean about wanting your parents to be there. My Mom, sister and step father are coming to visit May 28th but are leaving June 3rd. I'm not due until June 13th. But we didn't know I was pregnant when they had got the plane tickets. Hopefully he comes a little early. I haven't even thought of being induced and I'm lame and probably won't even ask my doctor about that possibility! lol I really wish that my Mom could be here for the birth though. She missed out on my first too. It sucks because I live so far away from them all. Haven't really taken care of the mess in the basement. It all went towards the drain so we don't have standing water in there or anything, and it's since dried up but we have to slope the yard away from the foundation so that it doesn't happen again. Wonder when we'll ever get time to do that!!!

KimBoystun - Tuesday, 29 April
Hey, how are you feeling? I am so tired... I am so ready to have this baby so I can get back my energy.. I dont know how much more of this I can take. I feel so bad, it seems like the last week I have been jumping on to my boys for no reason, Randy and I have been fighting and god girl work seems like it is just dragging along. By the time I hit my pillow at night I am so tired. It is so hard being 8 months pregnant taking care of 2 little boys and working a full time job... I am sorry that I am bitching to you, but I feel like I have no one to talk to that even understands just a little bit...
I dont know about you but I am so ready to have my baby...
Anyways enough about me and my crap.. How are you? Are you feeling ok?

jess84 - Tuesday, 29 April
well so far my spring cleaning list has 2 rooms checked off! Go ME! lol its back breaking sometimes though. I had a ultrasound friday and the babies head is stuck down there and really isnt going to move till birth so no face pics only side views and one even looks like the cord is around his neck. Yikes! did you read what that lady wrote about the pregnant parking spaces? what a bitch! well have a good day. And im still trying to get my husband to help with spring cleaning, etleast moving furniture for me.

preciousangels2 - Tuesday, 29 April
LOL! I still haven't planted the flowers. I want to buy some greens to put around them and there are tons of weeds and dead plants that we have to pull up first. I think we might get some of that done tomorrow. Not sure though.

It probably is the ligaments, it could also be that your little one is sitting on some nerves! Mine does that a LOT! Once I lay down, I never want to get up! I can't believe it's almost 33wks either. Crazy how fast time is going. On Thursday, it'll be May! Almost Mother's Day!

KimBoystun - Saturday, 26 April
Your welcome for the emails, i'll keep sending them i get some pretty good ones! So you have been having bh huh? I have been having them since month 6 and girl they just seem to get harder and stonger everyday.. Every morning i wake up i think my tummy grew! It seems like here the last couple of days i have been gaining so much.. That is one thing i cant wait for is to have my body back.. Well i hope you have a great weekend!:)

mplsmama - Saturday, 26 April
Hey, yeah, I'm slowly but surely trying to get everything ready for the baby too! The nursery is definitely getting closer, but we have another shower May 17th, so I'm trying to hold off buying anything more until after that. And I still don't have my bedding which is driving me nuts! It's hard for the nursery to be complete until after I have the bedding. Oh well.
We had 7O degrees the other day... but today it's snowing again! Aargh! We were going to put the screens on our house today, too, but it's totally cold & windy. How annoying. This truly is the winter that won't quit. It's almost MAY for God's sake!
Hope you have a great rest of the weekend... talk to you soon!

me6 - Saturday, 26 April
If your body pillow is big/thick enough you can prop it up just right so that you're not actually lying on your belly but you're off of your sides...taking the pressure off of your hips/sides. Know what I mean? If you're anything like me, each side gets pretty sore after awhile. It looked awfuly black down towards Mitchell way today. It was just a tad bit nipply here with a little bit of moisture...nothing too drastic. Supposed to be this way at least until Sunday then we're supposed to get up into the 60's ~ yeah right. We used to go camping ALL THE TIME but haven't been able to since we've had a youngin the past 4 summers. LOL Kind a sucks but what can ya do...:) Yeah, I'm pretty much physically recovered I guess. I was lucky and didn't have a stitch or anything. I was actually uncomfortable for probably only about the first week. Well it's me beddy-by time so I'm out of here. I will talk to you next time...Have a good day/night!

Notesfam - Friday, 25 April
Don't feel dumb!!! LOL I would be nervous about getting a teenager along with a baby!!! Good luck! He got kicked out of school? Thats not good and probably something you don't want to hear. My girls are very well behaved!! I sure am lucky!! My 7 year old is a momma's girl!! Our 2 year old is definitely daddy's girl. We can't wait for our 3rd girl!!
