Hello, my name is Kathy. I'm 26 and i got married last year of April. Our son Eric Theodor was born on Aug 18th 2008 at 10:46pm weight 6pd 10.6oz. We love him soo much, he brings so much joy to our lifes.

On Dec 12, 07 i found out i was pregnant. I took 3 test to make sure. I cried for a bit with happy tears. I went out and bought a box and a baby sign saying: " Baby on board" i put the 3 test and the sign inside a box and wrapped it. When my husband came come that night, I told him thank you for the early christmas gift, he had no idea what i was talking about so i gave him the wrapped box. He looked at me funny, i was like come on open it. He opened it and when he looked up, he had tears in his eyes! He said really, i'm gonna be a daddy!?!?! I cried too and it was one of the best days of our lifes. Things have gone great since then :) And our little baby boy is due Aug 16th! Can't wait to meet him :)

OMG I was at Square 1 on Tuesday night! We went to Moxies for dinner. Great stake! Wow. How close. Well next time I'll let you know. I have to go for work. We have a plant in Mississauga and then the Ford plant is in Oakville.I'll for sure let you know next time. Although I don't seem to have much spare time. I really wanted to find a hockey store but the other guy from work was driving. =(

Hey everyone.. just a little update... my husband is coming home from Afghanistan this weekend! its been a long 7 months! i can not wait for him to step off the bus so i can kiss him! ill be sure to put reunion pics up asap!

so fiance came home from work today an asked me what was wrong. i told him i was a little tired an he got a attitude! said i shouldn't be cause all i do is take care of the baby. um.... hello! she is 2 weeks old an want's to nurse constantly! sometimes i barely have time to take a shower! plus i'm up with her at night. i don't even wake him up when she gets up. i let him sleep. i'm feeding her constantly changing her (he's changed 1 diaper.... seriously) bathing her an am up with her day an night.... but i'm not supposed to be tired. pardon my language but that's bullshit! i want him to do all this for just 24 hours an see how he feel

So just found out my HCG went from 96 to 1660 in a week!! So I really dont think there has been a miscarriage!!!! I will have another ultrasound on tuesday!

Hi ladies how are you all doing ? i have been sick with a cold and maddi has a cold that hasn't gone away yet i feel so yucky . i wanted to let you all know i have not forgotten about none of you . my doctor wants when i come in on monday to get the h1n1 shot i don't really want to take it since they don't know much about the side affects of it but i want to do what's right for me and my little girl . is scarey been sick and having to worried every time what if i have the swine flu as i know it could be deadly what is the right thing to do ? i am unsure of that . if any of you ladies have gotten it or haven't please i need your input . i haven't gotten my kids the shot of the same reason . other then that things are o.k i will update on monday about what my doctor say's about the placenta previa . i hope you ladies are doing well .

TJ got his first tooth this morning! he just turned 15mo and we've been waiting for this for a long time now.

it's one of the front bottom two teeth... and helps explain why he's been so grumpy/inconsolable and sleepy the last week!

Thanks for stopping by!! We are well - just back online today actually! We picked up a worm/virus on Friday on our computer and it slowly started destroying Windows. Felt out of touch but it was nice to not have the computer for a few days!!! Sorry to hear about your grandparents. It is a good thing that you were able to go see them. And that they got to meet Eric! How fortunate he was to have met his great grandparents!!! How are you guys doing? xox

Ladies thank you all for your comments, info and reassurance about the heart palpitations. I had no idea how common it is during pregnancy. It is nice to know I am not alone and my heart isn't going to jump out of my chest! It sure feels like it at times. I will be sure to take my iron as many of you said this is a sign of being low on iron, which I was at my last apt. I will also mention it to the doctor at my next visit but feel so much better knowing it is pretty common and will go away soon! Again....thank you!

Another strange symptom-The last couple days I have felt my heartbeat really fast, usually while I am laying in bed or sitting on the sofa. It is really fast, makes me short of breath, kinda dizzy and just overall a weird feeling. It last about 5 seconds and may repeat 10 seconds later or an hour later. It is very inconsistent. I know the heart works harder during pregnancy b/c of the increase blood flow, but has anyone else experienced this? It is really a strange feeling!

Hey ladies AF showed at 11pm last night, still not to sure why I was getting positives but I will never know.
I also was up all night with Reid again and myself with server stomach cramps, threw up once, nothing would make it go away. I finally got to sleep at 5 am and up at 7:30 with Reid, I feel so depleted but I will have a few coffees and I should be right.

Hey there - yes I'd give her milk right before bed. For a loooooong time she would just sit in our laps and drink it, like she did the bottle. We tried to keep that routine for as long as possible but now she has outgrown it... booo. Now she sits in her "special spot" on the couch and drinks it. I place a blanket on the corner with her favorite kitty and night night blankie and she knows she has to sit there and drink her milk. If she gets down I warn her once to stay put, put her back, and let her finish. If she gets down a second time I say "okay... you must be ready for bed." and we pick her up and take her straight to bed. It was hard for a couple of nights but now she is an old pro. She knows when her milk is gone it's time for bed and never fights it. Now we ask her once her milk is gone "Mommy or Daddy take you to bed?" still giving her SOME power of decision. She is so good at going to bed and never fights it because we follow the exact same routine every time.
