I am 27 years old and this is our first baby. She was born on June 11th at 2:09 p.m. weight 6 pounds and 13 ounces. Kendal Ann is the greatest joy I have ever had in my life. I have a wonderful husband and now a perfect little girl. I love this site and talking with all the other moms.

wow,
I didn't feel mine move til after 12 weeks. i can't wait til my hubby can feel them moving!

Megan-Danielle - Wednesday, 18 June
Yeah it did suck that I pushed for 3 hours and then ended up with a c-section. All the nurses were like "you got a double whammy" which I did. But I didn't mind at all. 4 times!? esh! They ended up having to do mine twice because I'm so skinny but it wasn't too horrible.

SHE IS SO CUTE! Oh gosh. I just wanna pinch her cheeks! Nights are actually really good. My moms up with him for the most part during the night but thats only if I've pumped a bottle I was up with him both times last night. How are your going? I posted a picture by the way!

karina - Wednesday, 18 June
hi! that pump work great for me, to bad my baby couldn't take my milk (lactose sensitive), but i was able to pump 8 oz to 12 oz (4/6 ea) in 20 min, although i try to do it one breast at the time, i use to use my free hand to push the big milk lumps i had all over my breasts...due the lactose sensitive of my baby i wasn't able to pump for very long, i only did it for a little more than a month, i noticed that the milk decreased after one month, but i'm sure this was because baby wasn't feeding from the breast any more (i was on a dairy free diet during the last 2 weeks to see if my milk change, it didn't work), i do recommend you to keep feeding your baby once a day at least from your breast, i noticed that this increased the milk supply...i cannot tell you about the latching because i feed her most of the time w/a bottle, but when she did latch she ate ok, she use to get tired more often, but she was eating every hour any way...

You are welcome! keep in touch

Everything went really well. I actually ended up with a cesarean after all but it wasn't horrible. I need to post pictures and my birth story! But long story short, I pushed for almost 3 hours he only got to a +3 my doctor decided to go ahead with the c-section at the point in time I just wanted him out so we did that, turns out he wasnt facing the right way, he was looking at my hips instead of my spine so that kept him from coming out vaginally.

I know! It totally makes everything just so much better! Let me know when you get your pictures up! I'd love to see her!

Kippy-- First off congratulations on your new baby!! Glad you came here ..you will find the breast feeding forum very encouraging and helpful with your journey in breast feeding... it is normal for a newborn to want to nurse often..this is because you have colostrum which just gives them enough nutrients to get them through the first few days and this leaves them hungry soon after they are fed... this is why they want to nurse often and in doing this your 'milk' production will increase... make sure you are using lanolin breast cream..they have brands that do not need to be washed off when a baby is about to feed..make sure you air out your nipples as well..you can even apply some of your own breast milk to your nippies it will heal faster... the first few weeks your nipples will begin to 'toughen up' to the over stimulation and sucking of your baby.. so don't think the rest of your breastfeeding experience is going to be pain and tears! expose your nipples as much as possible..don't wash them with soap that will cause them to dry out more..plus the area around the areola produces an antiseptic oil so there is no need for soap..try different positions to ease different areas to the nipple..you can lay down and nurse this helped me in a way when my nippies were sore..hope this helps!! remember air out your nipples with some milk or breast cream..breast cream helps the nipple become more flexible from being stretched so much.

Megan-Danielle - Thursday, 5 June
I definitely will.

Thanks! I'm excited. Well .. I kind of don't really feel anything lol like I'm trying to picture how tomorrow is going to go but my brain definitely is NOT registering the fact that I'm having a baby tomorrow.

knockoutmom - Wednesday, 4 June
i definitely hear ya about the head in the ribs. it is soooo uncomfortable! probaly a lot worse than feet i can imagine. my bf is taking off a few weeks of work, too while i heal up and i know hes gonna be doing the same thing, hogging the baby! i just got back from my doc and they said at my hospital they wont strap your arms down so ill get to at least touch her some before they wisk her away. we actually tried the ecv and it never worked out cause she was so comfy in there. talk about stubborn!!

knockoutmom - Wednesday, 4 June
good luck with your c section! im getting mine in 2 days cause she is still breech also. im beyond excited now! every single person ive talked to on here who has said they were nervous about getting it done keeps telling me how easy it was. im just gonna go in there with a positive attitude now instead of in panic mode so im sure that will help a lot too. its nice to know we fall into the tiny 3% of women who have breech babies huh? i thought that was so weird! good luck!!!

Megan-Danielle - Wednesday, 4 June
Sorry it's taken me SO long to respond I've just not felt good at all.

I'm definitely going to look into that field. It sounds like quite a bit of fun & the pay doesn't sound too horribly bad at all.

I read you're getting induced next week! That's so exciting. I'm getting nervous now, like .. I'm being induced tomorrow, well yea tomorrow since it's 1:30 Wednesday morning here. It's so .. surreal. Like it's not registering in my brain that tomorrow I am having a baby lol

How are you feeling?

raynbowmami - Saturday, 31 May
That would be so nice. I was hoping by getting up and getting around a bit she might decide to come on. So we'll see what all that work did. I'm on the couch now with my feet up. I got hot so I'm trying to cool off. Waiting on my frozen fruit bar to get here. Yummy!!! Cold and fruity what a combo.

Megan-Danielle - Saturday, 31 May
I so just accidently deleted your last comment as I was trying to reply. Sometimes I think the internet is against me!

That sounds like the perfect job. I don't mind stressful environments at all. My moms friend has a friend who works from her house in Florida doing something over the internet that is apparently legitimate & makes really good money. I'm collecting Unemployment right now (due to being fired while pregnant, nice huh?) & only can claim in for like another 2-3 weeks after I have him. Then soon after I'm going to have to get a job I'm just so not comfortable with putting my like 2 month old in daycare, you know & I don't want to leave him that early but I may not have a choice.
But anyway; I'd totally love some information about that. I really want to go into Forensics but I just don't want to go through like 13 years of school lol I honestly wouldn't even mind working in a Hospital in like .. the registration offices lol

Yes! This Thursday, provided he doesn't come before then. I've felt a little different since my appointment yesterday. My lower back has been killing me & I can feel him like fighting my cervix with his head & I've had a ton of pressure. I think she stripped my membranes & just didn't tell me, Which is cool lol if that's going to help him come before Thursday thats fine with me! But I go in Tuesday to get my induction time or cancel it if need be, but that will NOT be needed at all.

I will definitely let you know & I'm sure there will be tons of pictures! I'm excited. Now it's just that Thursday seems like it's an eternity away! My weekend/beginning of next week will go so extremely slow I can already tell.

Megan-Danielle - Friday, 30 May
Have you always worked at home or were you in an office before hand? I want to go into the Medical Field so bad. I went to school for Fashion Design & have been a Makeup Artist for 3 years. But I'd really love to go into Medicine.

Oh my god a tiny person whose gained weight like me! Granted you gained more. I went from 90lbs to 143, so I've gained 53lbs. I'm with you though I NEVER thought I'd gain this much weight I'm suprised my body has been able to handle it quite honestly. You can tell its really starting to wear on my frame. It's like "wtf have you done to me & NEVER again will you do this" lol

I went to the doctor today & they scheduled me to be induced next Thursday at 39 weeks too :] looks like we'll both be having babies SOON! yay for us!

mplsmama - Friday, 30 May
Hi there, just thought I'd let you know that I talked to my dr today about how long it takes before we can hold the baby... she said that after they get the baby "cleaned up", etc, they'll bring it up to our head so we can see him/her... and pretty much as soon as we get stitched up, which takes about 3O minutes, and get wheeled to the recovery room, we can hold him/her. I'm jealous, b/c of course my husband gets to hold him/her right away! But it doesn't sound like we have to wait too long. Hope that helps...

mplsmama - Thursday, 29 May
Hi, yeah those are good questions! I wish I knew too! We went to a childbirth class, and of course if you deliver vaginally, they put the baby on your tummy right away... but obviously they can't do that w/ a c-section! I hear ya, I totally want to be able to hold my baby soon after birth, but I wonder how that works w/ the c-section? Maybe I'll message some of the women who've responded on my page & let you know what I find out?
I'm like you too... I wasn't thrilled about the idea at 1st, but I'm really coming to terms w/ it. Anything to make sure our babies get here safely, right?

mplsmama - Wednesday, 28 May
Hi there, I'm also having a c-section... I left a msg on the c-section forum on this website & have received a few msgs from women who had positive experiences w/ c-sections. It really helped calm my fears. Otherwise I'm not aware of other helpful websites to help prepare for them, but if you hear of any, feel free to send them my way! :}

Megan-Danielle - Monday, 26 May
That sucks! I've not worked since December and I'm SO glad I've not. I don't miss it at all, what do you do?

We;re just kind of .. hanging around, a few people are coming over but it's RAINING lol go figure. Tennessee has the dumbest weather ever.

Not much longer at all, I'm really hoping he'll come before then! I just didn't want him to come this weekend, so anytime after we eat tonight I am so ok with lol

Megan-Danielle - Monday, 26 May
thats actually a picture from my ultrasound back in January :] he's definitely not that small anymore & I don't think his large self would have fit into a picture like that lol they didn't give me any from the one last weekend & I didn't even think to ask for some.

Hopefully she'll cooperate Tuesday lol you'll have to let me know! I'm just .. so uncomfortable lol but whats to be expected?

Any plans for memorial day?

Megan-Danielle - Friday, 23 May
It was good but it is kind of hard to tell what you're looking at.
The nurse & I kept asking what everything was. I didn't get to see any profiles of his face, I got to see his HUGE head though lol then his spine, the heart, hands, kidneys, the best part was seeing his diaphragm because he was already practicing breathing & you could see it on the ultrasound which was AMAZING. His bladder was full too lol I was like aww! you have to pee. But it's definitely a lot different than than ultrasound I'd had before hand.
Oh lord that would be quite the perdicament. Have you compared your ultrasound showing its a girl to that of a boy?

Megan-Danielle - Friday, 23 May
Oh I was so excited when I found out he was head down. SO excited.
I was glad I got an ultrasound over the weekend its just strange because they are SO much bigger than they were the last time. Well atleast for me. I'd not seen him since 18 weeks.

Megan-Danielle - Thursday, 22 May
See a week of being sore is a week too long for me & I hate being laid up in bed having to take it easy lol

THANKFULLY, at my appointment this morning he's turned. My doctor was like "oh ya there's a head waaaaaaay down there" now I just get to think about pushing out a baby that was measuring 39 weeks at 36 weeks & was already an estimated 8lbs 3oz lol

young.mamma - Thursday, 22 May
