hey thanks for your advice. i would just rather have a natural birth if he will drop. i just dont picture myself having a csection. although there are pros and cons to both. but anyway thanks again for your advice! good luck...looks like your getting close too

Thanks so much - I know you said no one can say anything to make me feel better but you did. I am trying to stay strong and I am glad it shows. I appreciate you message. Thanks. Sharon

I had a HORRIBLE case of the flu the week before my son was born. I was sick with fever cough headach, upset stomach, the works. literally 2 days after I was just barely well enough to be out of bed My water broke. I think the strain of being sick is what caused it. If you've been sick don't push your body. Labor after being sick was tough. It is my 4th baby so I was able to get an epidural really early 2cm! But even the very early phase was taxing and usually is a breeze. So, go to bed, even if your feeling better and rest up as much as possible...DO NOT PUSH YOUR BODY, believe me as happy as I am to have my son I would have gladly waited one more week to have my strengh back. Recovery from birth has been tougher and more emotional too.

Thanks for commenting on my daughter's nursery. It was so different decorating for a girl (I have 2 boys). I see you're almost ready to give birth also. Good Luck!!!

Hi, I was dilated 2 cm for a month before I delivered my baby with my first.

firstandexcited - Saturday, 22 Mar
Tell me about it...it's deceiving! When my sister told me she was dilated that much, I was so excited, and I thought she was going to go right away. But she didn't. If you look on week 37's posts...one lady is talking about how she's 4 cm dilated, 100% effaced, and lost her mucus plug 2 weeks ago, and she's not in the hospital or anything! Makes me discouraged :O(

Jennifer888 - Saturday, 22 Mar
I was dilated at 2cm for 2 weeks and I have slowly progressed to 4cm dilated and 100 percent effacement. Try not to worry too much. Everything will be fine. (:

firstandexcited - Saturday, 22 Mar
I've been 1 cm dialated for 1 1/2 weeks, and I think i'm further than that because of the hellacious BH i've been having. But my sister went like over 2 weeks at 2 1/2-3 cm dialated before she had her son!

Yes I have the sharp pains that just started about a week ago. I asked the doctor and she said the baby is sitting on a nerve and it is ok.

sarah82 - Saturday, 22 Mar
Those pains are the baby's head hitting the pelvis- kind of like electric shocks/ shooting pains. I have been haveing them for about a month now- completely normal but can be very painful at times.Good Luck!!

txblondie01 - Saturday, 22 Mar
hey i saw your questions on the 37 week posts... i've been having those sharp pains for weeks! i know what you mean, and it's no fun! but it's just the pressure of the baby 'lightening'. also i've been dilated 2 cm since i was about 28 weeks, so about 9 weeks now with no change... it really depends on your body. congrats on your baby and good luck!

chrissi10990 - Saturday, 22 Mar
My friend dilated to 2 cm around 36 weeks and just stayed like that til 4 days after her due date

julieg - Saturday, 22 Mar
With my last pregnancy I dilaited all the way to a four, at 38 weeks so they just induced me since it was my 3rd baby, but some women can be at a 2 for up to time to deliver. Hope that helps...good luck

muggles0682 - Thursday, 20 Mar
I like going to the hospital with two names picked out (this pregnancy we have 3). Then when your little girl comes out you can look at her and pick which name fits her best. Its really neat!

hglynn - Wednesday, 19 Mar
it would be really great if it was the start for both of us!! it's so exciting isn't it!

gypsyfleur - Saturday, 15 Mar
Hello...HOpe you are doing good today...I noticed your post on sex...SO TABOO..JUst Kidding LOL...but on a serious note...you said in the post that you had period through out the pregnancy...I am taking it that you have spotted off and on...although sex is fine during pregnancy and has a lot of benefits to it...in your case u may want to becareful...ask your doc if it is okay ..because of the bleeding sure it could bring on labor..but if you have a previa and that is why you have spotted...I would be really careful...some previa's keep people from delivering vaginal...due to problems...and well you wouldn't want to cause that sort of problem...i am not trying to be an alarmist...just realist..you are almost done...and I love sex..so I understand being frustrated if you are...but it isn't worth problems for you or baby....
