It's a boy!!
Hi everyone!! This is my first pregnancy and we are so excited!! We just got married December 1st and we knew what we wanted! ...and lucky us it worked on the first try! Best wishes to all!!
March 18th
The doctor's appointment was quite an experience!! They found the heartbeat almost immediately and everything looks good! The baby measures closer to 9 weeks rather than 10.5 like I had calculated - but all is well. Thanks to the birthcontrol wacking me off a 'normal' schedule. I'm going to try and get my little bub's picture on here. I will miss all of my 10 week friends! If you guys can give me a heads up on things I would appreciate it! =) Good luck to all!

Ok everyone - I am looking for some help... I think my due date is wrong! I can't calculate it out to what the doctor said! My last period started Jan. 2nd - and they are telling me I'm due Oct. 20th! Can anyone figure this out? I'm thinking the 13 or 14th at the latest! It's driving me nuts! Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Even though it has been awhile, nothing really has changed! I still don't look pregnant, still don't feel pregnant. We went to the doctor April 15th and all is well. We heard a heartbeat of 140 (so we are thinking a boy) which is fine by me and of course my hubby! We find out on May 15th only three or so more weeks of guessing!! Hopefully I'll have more interesting details nextime!

i am okish, just lil down today. I seem to be snappy at mo and dont really know why. Phil told me to get my head out of my ass, which upset me!
What time is ur doc appt? please let me know how u get on hun.
I have looked into the breast pumps and think they are fab idea and will def be getting one so phil can do feeds.
Hows ur ankles and feet today? you need to rest up more.

Heyyy girl Im hanging in there! I never had a prob w/ the heat before and now its like Im dying! I go to the doc on the 13 and to the high risk on the 25! Im so excited to see what he weighs they start putting on weight fast now and he was already gaining a pound every 3 weeks!! Im hoping my cervix is okay too so I feel what your going through I just hope all this weight isnt making it open! They said they would have called if my sugar was bad and I never recieved a call so I guess Im good did you get your done yet? His nursery is almost complete having a hard time finding a big red rug! Im not breat feeding I am using Dr.Browns bottles when my fiances little sister lived here she bf and he was on her constantly I have a household to run so I dont think that is the best choice for me! I didnt really want a baby shower b/c I seriously have everythingggg but I guess Im having a little on on the 22nd thanks to the sister! My ankles havent been swallon yet just every morning when I wake up my feet hurt really bad I think mayve their still getting used to flip flops! Good luck at the doc let me know how it goes!!

i am SO excited!! i went to toys r us today to register for all the BIG stuff - it was awesome! I'm so indecisive about everything though.. My poor girlfriend who came with me probably wanted to ring my neck!! We got through it though! Picked out a highchair, playpen, stroller, carseat, swing/chair and a few little things. I just want the house NOW and everything to be in it and i want my baby in my arms!!
I've been feeling really great lately! No complaints, really! I go to my 'regular' family dr next tuesday (the 17th), then for my little mans Echocardiogram on the 24th, then to my OB/GYN two days after that to go over the results. LOTS of appointments! I dont know what the shower situation is - i refuse to have any part in the planning! The last i heard was that my boss (who's more than a boss, she's a close family friend and wants to be called "Grandma K"!) was going to throw one, then my mom would do the family one after the boys here..
how have you been? made any decisions about the nursery or anything? colours? have you registered?
Oh, i need your input on a name!! It's different and so far the people i have told either really like it or HATE it! I like it and its the most positive reaction ive gotten from jerret..here goes!

Since the temp dropped, my swelling has gone way down. Still there, but much better.
I have started to feel better too, so guess it was the heat. If the heat causing me this much trouble at only 5 months..I'm so screwed in August!! lol
Logan is just something we liked; the middle name Michael is my husbands first name. He wanted a Michael Jr, but I won that fight.
I really like the name Hayden!

i had to throw away all the ice cream last night bc i couldnt stop eating it..it was getting a little bit ridiculous lol. Why are you on high risk? at least your not on bed rest.. i would loose my mind! I have just been soo busy packing, im moving to dallas next week with my boyfriend to be closer to my fam so i havent had a chance to get any new pics! ohh and its gona be 102 today here in austin..wish me luck! haha

hiya
i am ok ta, well am feeling better but not quite fully recovered, have that coughing flem thing going on, doc signed me off for another week. Thing is in work i am on my feet 9-5 with only 45 mins for lunch and sometimes i dont even get a full 45 mins if we run late. So because of this he has said another week rest would be appropriate. I didnt argue!! ahhaha

We havent picked our car seat yet or buggy. I had a day yesterday looking again. My friend works in babies r us and she has advised one, but i dont really like it now. Been looking at silver cross 3d system now. Buggaboo nice, but very pricey. What one have u got? i forget whether you have got one?
My mum was good thanks, we had lovely weekend, not too busy and phil went out with the lads on sat eve, so i had night to self, thou found i was slighly bored! ahha
It has been lovely here last few days and we laid in garden on sunday. little did i know i fell asleep, when i woke i had burnt my chest. Soooooo sore! i am so red onmy chest. ouch!! apparently you catch the sun more easily when pregnant, i didnt know this. did you?
Phil is still full of my cold, i have been feeding him on vit c and beechams plus powders!

My doc didn't have much more advice on the swelling. The usual...drink lots of water and put my feet up.
She did say that propping my feet up while I'm sitting at my desk can help some, but won't compare at all laying on the couch.
So if we're not working, we should be planted on the couch. lol.

sorry to hear you been suffering with your smelly ... i mean swollen feet LOL ahahaha. I have not heard the protien thing.... interesting. But you do have to elevate them lots. Get jazz to get you a reclining chair for work, you can sit in corner and give out your orders ahhaha. Id be good at that!!!lol.
I have taken anothe rpic today, ill try and upload bit later.
We have just been and ordered our nursery furniture, so excited!! Lee the painter has just left. I am chilling out now til its dinner.
Phil is going Golf on monday i think, he now has my cold. I have been reminding him to take tabs every 4 hrs. Shame i dont like seeing him ill. (course its much worse than mine, man flu and all that ahahhahaha )
Think sunday we will nip into town and check out what car seat fits my car. Then maybe see my mum? she has had new carpets in her house and is bugging me to go see them

It does seem too early! That was my though exactly, I was shocked! I think I've been having plenty of protein, but the water I'm not so good at, I'll try the salt thing too. As for the elevating feet, I also work in an office all day and sit a lot, so that is hard. I have a stool under my desk now, but every time I need to move I have to get my feet off of it. Ooh, I'm a big time leg crosser too! I'll try those and see how it goes, I'll let you know how it goes and you do the same! Hopefully we'll do better, it's too early!!

I also get alot of ankle swelling, my boyfrind is always teasing me about my Cankles!! Ive been told to drink plenty of fluids and to try to really cut back on Sodium intake. Also elevating your feet throughout the day helps. If you have to sit at a desk for long periods of time you should try to get up for a walk every couple of hours as the increased circulation helps to lower the swelling. My doc told me that as long as swelling is the only symptom its not a concern! Hope this helps!! Good Luck!

im in texas and its about 100 degrees..im def swelling!! if i drink lots and lots of water and cut back on salt it really helps..also try to get off your feet that really makes a difference

Hello, just read your comment about the swelling and I'm having the same thing. It's kind of freaking me out too because this is my 2nd pregnancy and with my first I didn't get any swelling until month 8! From what I read though, it is okay as long as the face and hands don't start to swell, but if you think it's extreme it wouldn't hurt to call the doc. I haven't done that yet, I'm waiting to see if it gets worse! Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

I'm swelling too. Got pretty bad in the heat; my right ankle really hurt by evening. I drank a ridiculous amount of water, had plenty of protein and not much salt....none of that made a difference. I did put my feet up and put a bag of ice on my right ankle before bed, and that helped make it more bearable to sleep.
I do go to the docs monday, so if she has any better tips, I'll let you know!!

It's not uncommon for us to have swelly ankles unfortunately! See if you can find a herbalist in your area - a girlfriend of mine in her ninth month had them bad and got a herbal tea with dandelion that has helped. She makes a pot of it every day at the end of the day, she soaks her feet in a cool saltwater tub for 10-15mins then sits with them raised for another 15 mins after. It's not a cure but it's great relief!

I have read several medical books on problems during pregnancy, and every one states that the reason for swelling has to do with what you are eating. My doctor told me I needed to get 80 grams of protein a day, a lack of protein will cause major swelling.

Yah, everyone was hoping I was joking when I said it was a girl :)
I found out the cyst isn't on my placenta - it is an ovarian cyst. So, that was relaxing. Altho, I found out that I have a 1/10 chance for down syndrome according to the blood test I took back in May. The doc I went to Wed was shocked I was not informed of this before now. He says the legs of the baby measure 2 weeks behind the arms :( and he found a marker on the heart. I'm so worried. He says for my age I should have a 1/1000something chance instead of the 1/10. I had to do an amnio (omg painfully!!!!!). We will not find out any results for 2 weeks. I don't think it'll come soon enough.
Everything else was good though, so I'm trying to stay positive.
I have the baby bed set up already and starting to buy stuff for baby. I'm going with care bears for the nusery. :)

thanks so much for the suggestion!! i think thats what i'll end up doing - keeping him in our room and see how that goes. during the day he can sleep in his crib so he gets used to it and whatnot, but this way just seems easier!! im about to add some new pictures, hope you do the same!!

Hi!!! So I saw my peri yesterday. They did a scan to check my cervix. It seems that it’s longer now, before he did the cerclage I think I was 3mm and yesterday I measured at 4mm. The only thing is my cervix curved, looks kinda like a banana, but they didn’t seem very concerned, so I guess it’s not as unusual as I’m thinking. I still have to come in every 2 weeks to monitor my cervix until I hit 32 weeks. I guess it’s still early in the pregnancy and anything could happen later on. For now everything looks good :) I made the ultrasound tech check the baby too. It looked so developed, it’s amazing! I also asked her to see if she could tell what the gender is. After looking she said it was still too early, but looks like it could be a boy. At my next scan (in 2 weeks) they will look at the baby thoroughly, instead of just my cervix. They are gonna take measurements and will be able to tell the sex. I can’t wait!
I'm getting a pregnancy pillow off eBay, hopefully it will help me sleep better. By "I sit on my ass all day" I meant that I have a desk job, not that I'm at home doing nothing. So are you in maternity clothes? I've bought a few things already just so I feel comfortable. Restricting clothes feel nasty to me right now.
You still have plenty of time to settle on names... Where are you registering? When do you plan of having your baby shower and who is planning it for you? How long before the shower should the invitations go out?
