It's a boy!!

Hi everyone!! This is my first pregnancy and we are so excited!! We just got married December 1st and we knew what we wanted! ...and lucky us it worked on the first try! Best wishes to all!!

March 18th

The doctor's appointment was quite an experience!! They found the heartbeat almost immediately and everything looks good! The baby measures closer to 9 weeks rather than 10.5 like I had calculated - but all is well. Thanks to the birthcontrol wacking me off a 'normal' schedule. I'm going to try and get my little bub's picture on here. I will miss all of my 10 week friends! If you guys can give me a heads up on things I would appreciate it! =) Good luck to all!

March 24

Ok everyone - I am looking for some help... I think my due date is wrong! I can't calculate it out to what the doctor said! My last period started Jan. 2nd - and they are telling me I'm due Oct. 20th! Can anyone figure this out? I'm thinking the 13 or 14th at the latest! It's driving me nuts! Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

April 21

Even though it has been awhile, nothing really has changed! I still don't look pregnant, still don't feel pregnant. We went to the doctor April 15th and all is well. We heard a heartbeat of 140 (so we are thinking a boy) which is fine by me and of course my hubby! We find out on May 15th only three or so more weeks of guessing!! Hopefully I'll have more interesting details nextime!

Madame Zaritska's reading

Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience. What she senses for you The day you deliver, outside will be rainy. Your baby will arrive in the morning. After a labor lasting approximately 14 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 11 ounces, and will be 18-1/2 inches long. This child will have hazel eyes and be completely bald.

thanks so much for the suggestion!! i think thats what i'll end up doing - keeping him in our room and see how that goes. during the day he can sleep in his crib so he gets used to it and whatnot, but this way just seems easier!! im about to add some new pictures, hope you do the same!!

Hi!!! So I saw my peri yesterday. They did a scan to check my cervix. It seems that it’s longer now, before he did the cerclage I think I was 3mm and yesterday I measured at 4mm. The only thing is my cervix curved, looks kinda like a banana, but they didn’t seem very concerned, so I guess it’s not as unusual as I’m thinking. I still have to come in every 2 weeks to monitor my cervix until I hit 32 weeks. I guess it’s still early in the pregnancy and anything could happen later on. For now everything looks good :) I made the ultrasound tech check the baby too. It looked so developed, it’s amazing! I also asked her to see if she could tell what the gender is. After looking she said it was still too early, but looks like it could be a boy. At my next scan (in 2 weeks) they will look at the baby thoroughly, instead of just my cervix. They are gonna take measurements and will be able to tell the sex. I can’t wait!

I'm getting a pregnancy pillow off eBay, hopefully it will help me sleep better. By "I sit on my ass all day" I meant that I have a desk job, not that I'm at home doing nothing. So are you in maternity clothes? I've bought a few things already just so I feel comfortable. Restricting clothes feel nasty to me right now.

You still have plenty of time to settle on names... Where are you registering? When do you plan of having your baby shower and who is planning it for you? How long before the shower should the invitations go out?

HIya

yes i feel soooo much better today thanks hun. Looked at sick certificate and i covers me til MOnday so tuesday next wk will be first day back! Whoop whoop!!

How have u been feeling?

wow thats amazing, i was laid again this a.m feeling lil one too. What made it better is that Phil felt a few big kicks too on Tuesday morning. He has been patiently like jazz waiting with his hand tummy for a while.

My friend arrived with a "i love my bear" moses baskset the other day, she used for her lil girl. I placed it next to phils side of the bed, i thought he would ask why it was on his side, but he didnt(i shouldnt play games eh!!)he just said wow it makes it all real !! and laughed as he said its silly thing to say as he sees my belly everyday but could explain what he felt in any other way!!
I have been buying things online, baby clothes and hooded towel, they arrived today, soooo cute!!.

yes its pic weekend for me(every 2wks phil snaps one)

how exciting, your shower will be fab, wonder what gifts you get?

Yeah well it was in my family and at the time I was only 18 so it was hard to deal w/ the whole cancer situation. He used to kick me non stop now since he is bigger my stomach just moves like its dancing! I still feel him but its more of a rolling feeling than a kick. I went today he weights 3lbs 1 oz!!! Hes been head down for 3 months now so I was wondering what was making my stomach move that that here..... Its his little butt and back=) He gained a pound in 3 weeks so from now on he will gain it more quickley since its getting close to the end! Im 28w and his legs were measuring 31 weeks!!! Hes has some long legs and hes a big baby so I hope I go in July! I told the doc today and he said the baby would be fine so all we have to do is wait on him. Did a Non-Stress test today and so far no contractions so everything is great=)

galina - Tuesday, 3 June
I'm good, thanks. Going to see my peri tomorrow afternoon to see if the cerclage is working. Swollen ankles sound fun LOL. I'm on my ass all day and I feel it putting stress on my cervix, heheh. Not pleasant. Don't feel like wimp, nothing wrong with being whiny in our condition, haha.

We find out in two weeks what we are having, can't wait. Hubby wants a boy, but I don't care as long as it's a healthy baby. Do you have a name picked out yet? We are kinda butting heads and don't agree on names.

OK, gotta get back to work...

Glad to hear u had better nights sleep honey.
I am just sleeping and am pretty miserable, i can only take Vitamin C and Paracetamol. We not allowed to take anything else. I have too been feeling the baby lots today. Luv it!

Lee is here doing some painting tonight. Not finished yet. We have a very high top wall at the top of our house and lee will have to get ladders from work to reach it. So he is finishing lower and middle tonight then when he gets ladder he come back for very top.

My friend had recomended the quinny zapp so far, she says whatever pram set people buy they always end up buying another in 1yr, which is a very expensive way of doing it. She rec that quinny zapp is fab. YOu can buy the car adaptor and seat for car and this also acts as a clip in on the pram, so 0-6mths they travel in the seat in the car and in pram, then 6mth + the buggy bit clips in. The only thing you need then is a new car seat which then takes them up to whatever age the car seat u buy, but cheaper than buying brand new buggy/stroller and adaptors. what u rec?? we are getting Mamas and Papas Murano in oak this weekend for our nursary, nice and light. we have a coupon for 20% off so making the most of it.
I had a look at pram u have picked , looks very nice.

hows work been ? xx

Im feeling really good..i just get tired soo easily and working all day does not help! Im sick of being pregnant already lol

Ready2BMummy - Tuesday, 3 June
:) Good luck with the pillows. Let me know how it goes.

I have been feeling pretty good. The first three months were rough, and then I got the flu, but most of the second trimester has been really good. I have been showing since about 8 weeks, but only recently started to pop out. It's funny because I habe only gained 7lbs, so I am not sure where all the weight is. Probably my boobs, they are huge!

I have not really had any food cravings. I eat pretty healthy, but do treat myself. I have almost stopped working out, which I would have never though I would ever do. I used to work out 6 days a week and fitness was my life. I was going to compete before becoming pregnant. But, I just don't have the energy these days. I know I will go back afterwards though. It' my guilty pleasure.

I have bought nothing for the baby yet! I move into my fist home in September, a month before he comes, so I am sure I will buy lots of stuff then. I will have had two baby showers by then, and lots of people are giving me stuff, so... I am not worried.

Ciao for now!

LC86 - Tuesday, 3 June
We're having such a hard time with names!! anything i like, he doesnt, and vice versa!! the nursery though.. im about to start my fun with that!! We're buying a house, so i have to wait until we're in to get started, but i'm half decided on John Deere.. Daddy Whitwell is a farmer and would just LOVE it, im sure! and my mom picked up some really cute john deere fabrics today to make some stuff, so i think i'll take that and run with it!! I go for the Echo on the 24th.. im doing good with not worrying about it so far! I can't sleep on my stomach either.. i got a body pillow a while back and its helping... just throw one leg overtop of it and it props my belly up a bit.. other than that, things are good! not too tired, no m/s.. i think im officially into the enjoyable bit of pregnancy!! Take care!! keep in touch!!

Ready2BMummy - Monday, 2 June
Hi Lady! I feel your pain! I too am a stomach sleeper and find trying to sleep at night very uncomfortable. I have not bought a body pillow yet, but do sleep with two or three pillows. On underneath my belly and one between my legs. It helps, but very little.

Megan the lump maker - Monday, 2 June
My husband bought me one from brookestone, but the boppi is nice too

janice12 - Monday, 2 June
Hey I saw your question about body pillows. I am a stomach sleeper as well and its been torture trying to sleep since my belly has grown. I wake up over and over all night with sore hips, arms, legs and asleep limbs. I bought a body pillow and tried it out but it was so uncomfortable for me. My hip and shoulders still geot sore and i'd be too asleep to move the body pillow with my body when I turned to the other side. It really felt big and in the way. So my body pillow was used once and its been in the closet ever since. I still wake up in the night but I use a couch cushion to take the pressure off my legs and hips. Just a regular square cushion and put it between my knees. Its works the best out of everything ive tried so far. I sleep a bit better.

I think we feel sensitive as its totally new experience and its like the unknown. We will worry and will feel crap at times i suppose.
Yes the pillow i have is called a dreamgenii pregnancy pillow. I tried attaching a pic to this message to show u the exact one but it wouldnt let me. Whats ur email? i can email one if you want? Its the full slightly bent one with back support piece. Fab!!
I will have a peep at your travel system in second.
Our house is like a town house, split on 3 floors, come in and have kitchen lounge and clockroom, then sec level have our bedroom and main bathroom and study, then top 2 spare rooms. Babies room will be one of these. But for first few mths they reccommend baby is in your room anyway. Then i suppose investing in good listening in system would be a diffinte. Get the ones with light movement lights too aswell as sound, you can not only see then in the night but apparently they are best. (hope this helps)

sounds like you had a nice weekend. Ours was quite and fab. Thou sunday i did start to feel lil ill. Just had a nice lil kip this afternoon, still feel crap thou!
r u off shopping now for more pants?? any excuse ! ahahah LOL!!
TC xx

lauren232m - Monday, 2 June
i got one of those really expensive comfort U pillows and i hate it...i would try to get a full body pillow from target or something

Megan the lump maker - Monday, 2 June
The body pillow does help. I also just bought a 4 inch memory foam mattress topper off overstock.com----try out their website, you can get some good deals!

sarah05 - Monday, 2 June
hiya chick
i have a pillow, its fab! soooooo much better to sleep with. I always slept on belly. obviously now we cant i was sleeping bad to until i got my pillow, there are different ones. dont get the L or V shape they are rubbish xx

galina - Monday, 2 June
I'm feeling fine, just a little uncomfortable at night, prob time for a pregnancy pillow. I never did have any nausea or sickness. As far as showing, I was bloated from week five and now I can't tell if it's bloat or baby belly, I think I just look fat. I can't look in the mirror, I look pretty gross, hehe. I've been feeling stretching pains from the beginning so I'm not really worried about that. You're supper thin, so you probably feel them more. I can't wait to start feeling movement. What week did you find out what you're having?

sarah05 - Saturday, 31 May
hiya
u never replied to my last email, was awaiting ! lol.

Yes my ankles have def been swollen this week and my toes, my mum noticed it first.

Having relaxing eve in tonight, we have a realtity show final and i plan on sofa slobbing and watching it all! Phil will be pleased hahahah.
