Hi Everyone! I check this page almost daily, so decided to create an account to join in the conversations. My husband Jerome and I are expecting our first baby in October. We are so excited! We got the positive pregnancy test the morning of February 1st, and were ecstatic! That same day, we played in a mixed doubles tennis tournament, but I later was told I'd probably better not play tennis while pregnant. Oh well, things didn't seem to get too "jolted" that day, and things overall have been going great. Our first doctor's appointment isn't until March 13...I'm excited, but trying to be patient. Morning sickness kicked in during week 6, and has been an all day sickness. It's not fun, but I'm still able to function most of the time. We're both looking forward to it passing in the second trimester (hopefully!!).

Jerome is a Navy pilot, and I'm an adjunct instructor at a small college. When Jerome finishes his MBA in June, I get to finally begin my PhD in neuropsychology. Everyone tells me that having a baby in October will change those plans, but truth is...fulfilling this dream will only help me fulfill my dream to be a stay-at-home mom the first 5 years. I'll be studying full time in the evenings when Jerome is home, and get to stay home and play with the cute little munchkin during the day.

We also have two awesome doggies whom we love to take for jogs, and I just know they'll make great big "sisters" to their new baby brother or sister in October.

Sorry to ramble! Looking forward to getting to know as many new mommies as possible!

Yes ma'am, I have seen an increase in the nasty little bumps. The cellulite might go away a little but prolly never completely. The thing with cellulite is that once you have it... you have it. The best thing you can do is limit your sugar intake once you have your baby, this will help reduce the appearance.

Hey I just got diagnosed with complete placenta previa, the important thing is to stay off your feet as much as possible. I was assigned bedrest until further notice, my problem isn't really the spotting it is the pressure. My doctor told me that it usually clears up as your uterus grows she says a very small precentage of people actually go the whole time. Just relax and congratulations!

Hi, I was just reading under the forum page and there was alot there from others who have gone through it. Good luck. Try to relax. Others had gone through this and done fine. If that helps any. Stay positive.

Hey there sweetie.Read you're comment about the partial placenta previa.I haven't had it but i have read quite a bit about it.I know it's sounds extremely scary. But try to think positive. In early pregnancy, a partial previa can often self-correct as the uterus enlarges and the placental site moves cephalad.I'm sure it will correct itself.Good Luck to you.
Take Care
Courtney

HI Kristine. I have not yet had my ultrasound this pregnancy, but my previous two I had a low lying placenta, also called partial placenta previa. It is actually pretty common early on. They usually recheck , around 26-28 weeks, and most will have moved up away from the cervix. If not, they will keep checking at certain times to see . If it stays a previa, they worry about that blocking the baby from the birth canal. But it is so early and I would not worry if I were you. I think the statistic is like 80% self correct by the 28th week. Good luck to you. Brenda

i dont have placentia previa KristineM, so i cant say i know how you feel but i'm sure everything will be just fine. Just do what your Doc says, and try to remain positive. try not to stress too much for the baby's sake. Luckily it was caught early so you and the baby arent in very much danger at this point. You'll both be fine. Think happy thoughts! you got a big support system on this site, we're all here for you!

Hey sweetie! I dontthink you should worry. If its something serious trust your doctor will want to let you know before your appointment on the 24th. also all ultrasound techs arent extremely skilled so what she thinks she saw may not even exist. perhaps that is the reason why they arent allowed to or dont give us much more information than the sex of our babies....it gives you things to worry about when there may be no need.
