Brodi has a double ear infection. She hasn't been sleeping for the past four nights and randomly will scream and cry bloody murder, so yesterday I called the doctor and told him she needed to be seen because something is wrong with her. I told him I didn't know if she had an ear infection or WHAT was wrong with her and sure enough, she had a double infection. She is all smiles this morning and finally slept all night, thank goodness! She now weighs 16 pounds and is 26 inches long! She mastered rolling last week but still prefers to walk around all day in her walker. She was also in our local newspaper on Tuesday with her sunglasses on, it was too cute. Jeff and I are doing great. I cannot wait to celebrate my very first Mother's Day! :)

Brodi got her 4 month old shots yesterday. It wasn't too bad, she cried for a minute like last time, but I held her and she was better :) She was 12 pounds last appointment and this time she weighed 13 pounds 12 oz. So she didn't gain much weight, although she FEELS and LOOKS like she did, haha. And last time she was 21 inches long, this time she is 24 inches long!! She grew 3 inches in one month!! I'm guessing she is going to be one tall little lady!! Every Wednesday, Jeff and I have a "date night" so that's what we'll be doing tonight, while his mom watches Brodi for about 2 hours or so, while we go out and do something. Most of the time we stay home and do nothing!

We have set a date for our wedding! April 4, 2009! I can't wait! Now I have TONS of planning to do and I don't know where to start! :)

Brodi is 16 weeks old and is hauling ass in her walker! She could spend hours in that thing and not care about anyone else in the room. She's getting so big, I can't handle it! Though she is still really small, I wish she could stay that way longer! She has more shots to get at the end of the month, I'm not looking forward to that! Her first time wasn't too bad, she cried for a minute or so, then she was fine, so I'm hoping this next time will be the same or better. Jeff has been working 7 days a week for 2 weeks and I am hating it! I love motherhood, but I need a break! It's hard to keep the house clean and make dinner when I have a 4 month old crying for attention. I think Jeff appreciates us a little more when he works late like this though. He loves on us all night long :) Things are still pretty good, I hope they continue!

So things have been pretty good lately. Brodi is smiling all the time these days. I can't believe she will be four months old this Wednesday! I've been told that time flies but WOW, does it ever!? Jeff is still being such a great daddy and a big help when it comes to things around the house. It's been so nice lately that I can't help but wonder when he's going to screw up and go back to his old ways like he did when I was pregnant. I hate to think negative like that, but it crosses my mind sometimes. I really can't complain much as of right now, things really have been good. Brodi is growing like a weed!

JEFF PROPOSED! WE'RE ENGAGED!

He took me out to dinner Friday night and had been acting pretty strange. We had a really nice dinner, then went back home to hang out for a little while before we picked up Brodi at his mom's house. As soon as we got home he started acting REALLY nervous and shy and that's not like Jeff at all. I was sitting on the couch and he got down on his knee and had a huge grin on his face, I was like, OH MY GOD, WHAT ARE YOU DOING! He said "we've been together for a long time now, and I know your the one I want to be with forever." Then he pulled out this huge rock! I cried of course! I didn't ball like a baby but he had been making ME nervous all night long because he was acting so strange. I said YES YES YES! I was like, you HAVE to really ASK me before I take the ring! He said "will you marry me?" I said YES!!!!!!!!!!! :) It was great!!!!!!!!!!! We have not set a date, we will probably stay engaged for a while. This was already a huge step for him, I don't want to rush or pressure him into getting married right away, although I'd marry him TODAY! :)

Brodi has been on breathing treatments for 5 days now and she is much better. She still has that bad cough but you can tell she is her normal self again. Jeff and I are going to Houston for the super cross tomorrow and I can't wait! We go every year and I have so much fun. Jeff's mom will be watching Brodi while we're gone. We didn't do anything special for Valentine's Day either. We went to Jeff's uncle's house, ate and celebrated his grandpa's birthday. Everyone was telling us how beautiful she is and how tiny, they were just IN LOVE with Brodi! So far, things are going great right now. Jeff is still being a good daddy and we have no problems at the moment. It feels so nice to say that!

I had to bring Brodi to the hospital last night. Since Friday she has been having this HORRIBLE cough and won't stop sneezing. I was going to wait until today, Monday, to schedule an appointment with her pediatrician but by this point I couldn't let her suffer anymore, she could barely breathe! We took her to the emergency room and the diagnosed her with simple, nasal congestion. They told us to get saline drops for her nose and also to get a humidifer. This weather has got EVERYONE sick, I have the worst sore throat right now, it hurts to talk or say anything! I made an appointment with her pediatrician this morning just so he can check her out and maybe help her get better faster. She can't even cry loudly because she sounds so horse! Poor baby, she makes me want to cry at times but we're doing the best we can to get her well again.

It's been a week since I had MIRENA. I bled for the first two days I had it, it wasn't much. Then I couldn't feel the strings so I went back on Friday to make sure it was still there and everything was fine. I had a little spotting on Saturday and that was it. I'm hoping I don't have any problems with this, I've been a little skeptical about it, but so far I've really had no problems. I've read online reviews from other women and they complain about the side effects, so I'm hoping I don't have any of those. Brodi is great, she's getting so big. I say that every time I talk about her, but she IS getting big so fast! Her eyes follow me where ever I go...she won't do that with her daddy! I think I could be her favorite :) haha

Today I got the MIRENA birth control. It wasn't too painful getting it inserted, it just felt like a few period cramps. It took about 3 minutes or so to get it in then it was done. I've been bleeding since it was inserted this morning, which is normal. I just hope I'm not bleeding for weeks OR months! It's been 2 months since I had Brodi and my stomach is still a little like jello. I'm feeling really insecure about the way I look. I lost alot of my BUTT after I had her and my belly isn't as flat as it used to be, which I expected but I hate to think Jeff would think it's nasty, you know? I'd love to hear anyone's story about how long it took them to get back "in shape". Brodi is doing great, she's getting so big. She is such a character already...so funny :) Jeff is still being a really great daddy, he loves her more than anything.

Yesterday was my 21st birthday! It really wasn't exciting at all, just another day. Jeff took me out to dinner and it was really nice. Brodi also got her shots yesterday! What a great birthday present for mommy right? She made me feel so bad for her. She got three shots and then she screamed and cried bloody murder! I picked her up and held her tight and she calmed down immediately, so I'm sure she was just scared and didn't know what to think, poor baby. She now weighs 10 lbs 7 oz! And she is 22 1/2 long! She is getting so big already I can't believe it! I told Jeff we might as well start planning her 1st birthday party because these months are already FLYING by! Friday afternoon, Jeff and I are leaving to go to Austin, TX for my birthday weekend! I am so excited because I've never been there. Jeff has been quite a few times and says he LOVES it there. Brodi will be staying with his mom and I'm nervous to leave her behind for two whole days! She will be in good hands though, we won't have to worry about anything.

Brodi is almost 8 weeks old! Time sure is flying by already. She's been lifting her head up, trying to talk to us and smiles alot now, I love it! My birthday is the 22nd and Brodi has an appointment that day. I'm really nervous because I'm sure she'll be getting her 2 month shots! I'm afraid I'm going to ball my eyes out with her! When she was in the hospital for jaundice, I almost lost it then when they were sticking her with needles, I don't want to do that again. I'll just have to be strong, it's something that has to be done! Jeff is being such a great daddy. He could have the worst day at work, but comes home and is all smiles and ready to talk to Brodi :) Our 4 year anniversary is this Wednesday! Not sure what we will do but we've been together for so long and have been through so much stuff, especially in the past year, I think it's time I get a ring on this finger!

We had such a great Christmas. I know Brodi wasn't TOO interested in the few gifts she got, haha but what do you expect from a one month old? I am not sick anymore, thank God. I think I was actually on the verge of getting the flu but I caught it early and took medicine and got better really fast. The Saturday before Christmas was my first night out DRINKING without Brodi of course and I must say, I got drunk! I over did myself, that's for sure. I took atleast eight jager shots, which is what I drank before I got pregnant and two grey goose shots which made me sick, so I had to re-coop the entire next day. Not too sure if we're going to do anything for the new year but we'll see.

I have the flu! Brodi is staying with Jeff's mom until I get better, I'm already missing her! I sure hope I can get rid of this by the weekend or I'm going to go crazy! Jeff is on vacation for two weeks now and I'm hoping to spend some quality time with him and have a good time. Hopefully he doesn't pull some shit like he usually does and plan to go do something by himself, because I'm not having it! I'm getting so excited for Christmas, it's almost here!

Brodi is a month old today! I can't believe it! She and I both have colds, which is NOT fun. Today was my first check up since I gave birth and boy was I violated! My nurse checked INSIDE to see if things were getting back to normal and GOOD GOD! I screamed it hurt SO bad just for her to feel around in there! She said I still need to wait a couple more weeks to get down and dirty, which I didn't plan on doing anytime soon anyway, but now I'm REALLY terrified to EVER have sex again, if it hurt THAT bad just for her to feel around! I'm also getting Mirena in a couple of weeks, so we will see how that works out for me. I hope I don't have any problems with it, I've heard it can fall out during intercourse and I'm hoping that never happens. Well snot is starting to run out of my nose again, I hope this is over soon!

Tomorrow Brodi will be a MONTH old! I cannot believe it! Everyone kept telling me how times flies by, but I didn't think it would go by THIS fast. I go back to work January 7th and I'm NOT looking forward to it. If I could be a stay at home mum then I would, but we cannot afford to do that.
