I had been told by my doctor that I would be induced on March 10th. March 6th I had started having pretty consistent braxton hicks and had been to the labor & delivery dept twice to only be sent home at 1 cent. I went to see my doctor Friday the 7th still in a lot of pain, she examined, streched my cervix to a good 2 cent a determined I was in early labor and that it was time. I was sent to labor & delivery at 6pm to be induced. My i.v. was started at 5:45 and I was placed on the monitors. To be honest I was in a lot of pain. I was checked several times before the cervadil was placed in my cervix at 6:30pm. I stayed at 2 cent for hours. My water broke naturally. Doctor came in at 10pm stretched me to 3 cent. I couldn`t deal with the pain so I had an epidural started, boy is this great. I recommend it. At this point I was really doing things on my on, contractions were strong so they didnt start pitocin. At 3am pitocin was started, they couldn`t figure how the baby was dropping so low but my cervix wouldn`t open past 4 cent. By 3pm on the 8th the nurse realized the baby was extremely low and was trying extremely hard to get out but I just wsn`t opening up for him. So consulted with my doctor, and to my disappoint informed that a c-section was needed, baby was getting tired and he was just too big to fit through my pelvic bone. Therefore at 5:26 pm on the 8th my son was born per c-section. It actually wasn`t as babd as I had told myself it would be. I was awake and dady was with me. I will say my 1st was vaginal and recovery was a breeze. Recovering from a c-section is very difficult for me and takes a lot of strength and will power, along with family support. I was told that the baby had gotten stuck in my pelvis bone and wouldn`t have made it without the c-section and ws so exhausted from trying to get out that he didn`t want to breathe on his own for about 5mins after birth. He is doing great and is healthy as can be.

I am so excited to be in my third trimester, finally the end is near. Sorry, but this pregnancy has been a difficult one. I'm so exhausted, my legs are just tired, from my little boy weighing me down. But I can't wait to see him!!

WEEK 30, I'M FEELING REALLY TIRED AND RESTLESS, I HAVE AN APPT WITH THE OB DOC TODAY, JUST A REGULAR CKUP, SURELY EVERYTHING WILL GO WELL. YAY!!! 10WKS TO GO AND COUNTING.

30 1/2 WEEKS 1-8-08

I'll be 31 weeks friday. I've have been so tired, when I had my glucose test I was told I have low iron, which ive hd for many years. Therefore, of course the anemia has me bent over tired everyday. I can't stop working because I don't get paid maternity leave, I only get paid if I have sick and vacation time, which I do, but only enough for about 5 wks, and im taking 6, sucks, anyway, that means I can't leave early cause I can't afford the loss. My BHC's cause me to have unbelievable hot flashes. Plus today ive had edema in my hands and feet waaaay more than usual. All in all, im glad my son is doing fine and i can't wait to meet him.

31 weeks with many strectch marks, lol! 1/11/2008

So i'm officially 31 weeks now. Boy am I tired! I have still be having the edema really bad in the ankles, hands, and feet. My doc basically put me on a no eating diet, lol, well it seems like it since I can't eat anything with salt and no processed foods. She also recommended that I wear compression stockings, so I hope all of this helps cause I can't afford to be on bed rest. My jr still is in breech position, guess he's not ready to see the world just yet. He's moving fine, I go for another appt on 1/18 so hopefully everything is in order at that visit. I would love to know how much he weighs, I wouldn't mind him being a little chubby, lol!

Jan 31st

Okay, I haven't updated in awhile, so here goes. I had to go to the hospital on the 27th due to extreme shortness of breath. Well of course I got there and everything was fine, gave me a breathing treatment and sent me home. No test were ran or anything. My 34 week visit was on th 31st, I was set for a scan because Jr had been measuring a little big. Scan showed weight at 6lbs 0oz. I measured at 33.6 weeks, so doc thinks he will be about 8 or 9lbs. My date was moved up 9 days, but im going to stick with the 14th of March because machines arent always accurate. I have been having many BH's and cramp-like contractions, but not close enough to warrant another hospital visit. I go back to see doc on 2/15 that's when the fun begins(yeah right), I begin my weekly vaginal checks.

Feb 3

I had my baby shower yesterday and it went really well. I received a lot of nice things for jr, and considering he doesn't have his own room, he may have gotten too much, lol. I'm actually glad the shower has come and gone, a shower can actually be quite stressful preparing for, even when someone else is giving the shower. I will try to get pics up soon.

Feb 15

36 weeks is here. I went for a visit yesterday and baby already measuring at 40 weeks, he weighed 6lbs on u/s at 33 weeks, so dr is ordering another scan next friday. If all this is accurate, im going to have a pretty big boy, lol. Anyway, dr checked me and.... no dialation, cervix still thick, so I guess my little chubby man isn't quite ready to come yet. This is okay with me because I don't want to rush him and he not be healthy. My dr did put me on maternity leave starting yesterday, said to stay on bedrest. So we will see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

Feb 22

37 weeks is here. Had a visit today, had an ultrasound, baby is now 7lbs 14 oz. Got an internal check still no dialation, no effacement. Baby is pretty comfortable in my stomach. Doctor is scheduling an induction due to large for gestational age and risk of c-section. The date will be after my due date March 17th, simply because I want to try as long as I can to let him come naturally.

Feb 27

38 week visit. Had a visit today. Took the dr awhile to find the baby's heartbeat, which worried me a little. Had an internal heck, still nothing going on down below. Dr feels it's best to move up the induction date to March 10th, which is only 4 days before im due. She wanted to be safe so I had to stay and have a non stress test and biophysical done on the baby. It went well he passed! He's breathing well and activity levels were good. Soooo, I will see the doctor once more in the office before I deliver. Which will be next Friday the 7th. I will have another biophysical test done on baby and 4 days later, my son will be born! I'm kinda disappointed because I wanted to go into labor naturally, but I want him safe as well.
