Hi, my name is Lesley. I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on June 16, 1970 but was raised in Toronto, Canada from 1972 on. In 2002, the most wonderful man talked his way into my life. Why do I say talked? Because he was in Greece and I was in Canada! I was working in marketing/advertising and was thinking about branching out on my own. A supplier contact knew this was my plan and had a relative in Greece who wanted to launch a product in Canada. Not wanting to pay Agency prices, he hooked me up with them and the only English speaking contact was the graphic artist, Lambros. Fast forward 6 months and I finally figured out that this campaign had died but Lambros was still emailing, still calling and BAM - it literally exploded before my eyes - he was interested in ME which is why he kept in contact! On October 14th, he came to visit me in Toronto and we knew then that we were meant to be together. Our hearts were ripped out when he left to go home 9 days later, but I promised to be with him for New Year's Eve. And I was!

It was at that time that we decided, to give us a fair chance, someone has to move! And me having EU status having been born in the UK, was the easiest solution. So...I sold my house, quit my job, packed up my life and moved to Greece in March 2003. Fast forward another 5 years...we just got married in March 2008 although we tried desparately to make it happen while my parents and sister were visiting from Canada during Christmas 2007. And in February, we received the BEST wedding gift ever. We are pregnant!!

I am turning 38 on June 16th and have waited many years for the news we received in February. We couldn't be happier and pregnancy has been a true blessing and breeze up till now. I'm 1/2 way there and hope the last 1/2 is just as easy. We are having a 3D u/s on June 17th and hoping that our little one will give mommy her birthday present by letting us see if this is a little prince or princess. My instinct from the beginning has been a little prince - we are about to find out! If not on the 17th then...we will just have to wait till October 20th!

Best of luck to you. I am being induced on Thursday. My big boy is already 8.5lbs. I was afriad if we waited past week 40 he would be over 9lbs.

Hi! Thanks for your last message. No - I haven't given birth yet!! Actually, today is my due date and there is no sign of the baby coming at all. Strangely I feel much more OK about it now that I have reached my due date than I did before...I seemed to have been counting down the days before today, and now it just seems a bit irrelevant. The baby will come when she is ready (the weekend would be nice though LOL!!)

I am not especially well as I have quite a bad cold, so I am not sure that I have the physical strength for labour at the moment, so perhaps a few more days would be better for me anyway!

How are you? Do you feel OK? You must be getting excited as it isn't long until you will be induced (at least you have a much better idea of when your baby will arrive than I do!!)

I am sorry to hear about your scare with Isabella not moving for so long. 12 hours is a very long time for the baby not to have moved and I would have been equally as stressed if it was me. My baby is still very active even now - I thought they were supposed to run out of space, but apparently not in this case. Last night she was wriggling about like mad. Perhaps she is confused about how to get out! LOL!!

It will be lovely for you to have your sister visit after Isabella is born. I am guessing you will have plenty of visitors! But, having family visit is extra special...

Your comments about your domestic '1950's' arrangements made me chuckle! I wish I had the energy to do a bit more, but at the moment I am trying to focus on getting rid of this cold and building up some resources for labour. It is quite hard having two older children already as so many things just have to carry on as normal even though I have been poorly. I am very fortunate that my husband is good about helping out in the way that he does - he cooked tea for us last night as I was feeling so exhausted. He never grumbles - just gets on with things!

I hope all is well with you, and that you are enjoying this final week of pregnancy. I am trying not to wish the time away too much as this is the last time I will be pregnant and I just know that as soon as the baby is here I will miss having her inside of me!! It is a bitter sweet irony!

Wow ive just caught up on all updates now...how exciting gosh sat is like a few days away !!! you must be so excited :)......Are you all ready etc...Even though they will induce you are still going to try to go as natural as poss?
Ive been having weird dreams at night and after peeing about 10 times i cant get back to sleep either !!! how awful we need this sleep more than ever !!Keep us updated please !!!
