Well I am pretty excited. This is a surprise baby, and my first so I am hoping all goes well. I have my first "Prenatal" on 11/29. I am hoping they will do an U/S and make sure everything is growing as it should. I feel pretty good. Weeks 5 and 6 were just awful with MS, fatigue and a lot of cramping. But I feel like my body's either adjusted or I'm just gettng used to it... trying to decide when to tell my boyfriend, he will be pretty much in shock. I'm thinking maybe on Thanksgiving...we'll see. :)
11/25 Ok finaly, gave dad- to- be the news...he was in shock, but took it better than I thought. He has 3 kids already so you can imagine his stress levels. We're good!
11/29 Had my Dr. appt. I was quite excited to know that we're so far, so good. She did an US which seemed to show that the baby's due date has been moved up a few days to 06/30/07. So as of the appt. Baby is 9W4Days old!!! Pretty exciting. I got to see his/her heartbeat and could make out the arm and leg buds and (kind of) one eye.

So far, so good...symptoms all have lessened. Going 12/17 to the Dr. for more tests. Hope they do another ultrasound!
Sunday, 23 Dec
Feeling pretty good. Going back to the Dr. on 12/31 for my 2nd prenatal. Back to the specialists on 2/4 for the full anatomy scan, then we will find out if we have a little he or she!
2/4: Had my ultrasound today. It's a BOY!!!!!!!! he didn't co-operate with the Doc and laid face down against my spine so we couldn't get any face shots, maybe next time. I think I am starting to feel him poking around in there too!
4/7/08: Had another ultrasound today. Got a good shot of his private parts, but I guess they are not so private, since I have been showing the pic to the entire world... "how cute! it looks like a real one now!!!"LOL Baby seems to be doing well, has grown from 1lb 6oz. at his 3/10 ultrasound, to 2lbs 10oz. today. It seems his due date has changed by a couple of days too. I'm so excited now.
05/06/08: It's been a while since I've updated... everything seems good with the baby, I have been having weekly fetal heartbeat monitoring because I noticed about a month ago, that he seemed to be moving around a bit less they checked and he seemed to have his rate rate drop while I was having contractions. This concerned the doc, so now I go in to the specialist once a week to check fluid, movement and heartbeat. The nice thing about these visits is they they do a mini-ultrasound each time too. This week, the nurse saw hair on his little head!!! on a side note, he seems to be a bit transverse, with his head in my right rib area, he seems to like this position, last week he was head (almost completely) head down, now he has started turning back upwards it looks like. I sure hope he starts moving back down again... My mom was born breech and so was I, so hopefully this is not a pattern... I think I am about ready for him to be here. I'm starting to be scared of the pain of labor.

No problem!!! Im so ready for this little girl to come out!!! It seems like she kicks all day and night, and i rarely get any sleep!!!! I dont even like referring to my pregnancy in terms of weeks, days just make it sound so much closer!!!!

Well people say I small for 31w so maybe thats why. Now I am big enough to get these problems that some people have been having for a little while. But yeah it does feel like there is a lot of pee in there and when ya go its like what thats it.

Are you swelling too?! I had been told about this smell and swell that happens.. it hasn't happened to me yet but I am expecting it to! The joys of pregnancy hey! At least we have a reason to be smelly!!

Yes, I had the strong odor with my first child. Scented panty liners really helped!

Tell your boyfriend that it is quite normal! I asked my doc about getting an odour down there and he said as the pregnancy progresses, yes you may get a quite strong odour and not to worry it is quite normal. I have had an 'odour' since week 18. So don't worry hunni! Take care of you and your bub! x x x x x

I already have quite good stretch marks from my first and my tummy is very itchy. I think it is just stretching. I have plenty of stretch to go before the skin is damaged so i would not be too worried about stretch marks. I was told i should have taken zinc tablets. Apparently that helps with the skins ability to stretch? I didnt get more with my daughter so hopefully no more with this one. I think it depends on how you carry as well. Skin has to stretch as we grow.

Hi. The liquid coming from your nipples is just colostrum. It appears about now. It is the stuff the baby feeds on for the first few days until your milk comes in. It is packed with all the good stuff.
If you squeeze your nipple it will come out. It is very good to rub into your nipples if they are sore or dry. Sounds gross and you must have been shocked when you saw it if you didnt know what it was. It just means your boobs are set and ready to breastfeed when bub is born.

I haven't bled but having sex has caused a bleed near my uterus (or so the dr concluded) and the darn thing won't go away, been on modified bedrest for 3 weeks, and now on full bedrest until next ultrasound on Jan 3rd. Funny too, my hubby had just asked the dr at last appt if sex was safe. Hope you don't have any more problems and your bun stays in the oven til d-day!!

i had to go to the er not too long ago for some spotting and lucky for me it turned out just to be a uti infection. but the er doctor told me that slight bleeding may occur when you get a uti infection, do something strenuous, or after intercourse. he said it's because you have so many blood vessels on your uterus and they sometimes just pop because your uterus may not be 100% out of your pelvic area yet and (i know this sounds gross) but if there's something hitting it then more than likely the vessels are going to pop. kind of like hitting your arm on something and getting a bruise (the blood just doesn't come out because it has no 'hole' or exit way to come out of.) hope this helps!
