Hey, thanks for dropping in! I found out on the 5th of March that we were to be blessed with a bub, until that point I had never thought taht something so special could happen in my life. Three pregnancy tests confirmed that I was pregnant(the doctor laughed and asked...'so one was not sufficient?'), but then came the dating of the pregnancy as the drs assumed that we had concieved anywhere between 6 and 10 weeks prior. I was so nervous when waiting the day of my dating u/s, but I have never seen anything so amazing in all my life. We were dated as 6weeks and 1day, we saw the flashing of a poppy seed sized heart that was beating at a wonderful139.69 b/m. It was hard to actually imagine a little person in there until I actually saw them. I am enjoying the journey immensely and can't wait to one day meet this little miriacle masterpiece..
24th April 12 WEEK app. This day was the biggest spin out ever..... some one was actually in there actually waving (see first ultra sound in photo book). My partner Steve and I started a relaxing day having taken the morning off work have a very special day seeing our baby for the first time (more than a cute little blob holding onto a circle). So strolling in to the hospital reached in my bag for the ultra sound request form and all the crap you need......... I realised that we had looked at the wrong appointment time and were actually an hour late. Not only was the Dr who was to do the ultra sound annoyed because she had to meet with assessors of the hospital and was late because of me, but I didn't have enough water in my bladder to do the NT test. We got some quick photos and were told to come back in a couple of hours to do the test. I felt like the biggest idiot..... yeah good on ya mum! Luckily the Dr was really lovely and we got to come back forgiven (but still in shame), and soon was doing a belly dancing move lying down to get the baby to move (the dr swears by belly dancing as good for pregnant women). Steve and I had a few laughs and a bit of a happy cry during that visit...... this has got to be what life is about. We had a wonderful result of NT of 21000:1, happy to know that birth defects at this time weren't found.
14th May 2008. 15 weeks 3 days Today we went for a physical and everything was great so considering that there has not been any complications so far I will be able consult and deliver with midwives.... Yay, they are all so sweet at the hospital! I am starting to put on some weight, so things are moving on nicely. We have yet to book in for an ultra sound that determines the sex.
WEDNESDAY 11TH JUNE......... WE WILL KNOW WHAT WE ARE HAVING!!!!!!!
Best news ever.... We are having A LITTLE BOY. We both had a feeling about it but we were happy to find out that our baby had two legs and another one!!!!
