So A little about me.. hmmm well lets see, I'm 24 and my fiance is 30. We have been together for two and a half years, lived together for a year and a half. I finished school in July and a week later found out that we were expecting. We are so exited about this new addition to our family (which right now consists of our dog and our snake) and yet so scared because this is our first and we just hope that we do what is right for this child. I'm sure we will get the hang of it though :)

Birth Story

On sunday March 9th at 9:00 pm, my water broke. we went to the hospital right away to get put on anti-biotics due to being group B strep positive. They had told me to try and get some sleep and if contractions were not coming on there own by moring they were going to induce me. So, 10:00 am rolled around and they decided to give me the I.V drip. after 5 hours of hard contractions I was only 2cm dialated. They then gave me an epi. I ended up falling asleep and waking up 5 hours later to find out I was 10 cm but could not start pushing because my baby had not dropped down. They waited another hour and upped the dose of the drip to bring on more contractions. Well after that hour there was still no progress. So they got me to start pushing to see if that would help. An hour of pushing and still nothing. my baby wasn't gonna come out... Here comes the c-section... and at 11:55 pm on March 10th, We had a baby boy. 7 lbs 3oz, 20 and a half inches long and 3 weeks early. We named him Jasper Clinton McBride. Jasper is the best thing that has ever happened to us.
