Hi girls,
I'm 30 and just found out that I am pregnant (after 3 tests just to triple check!) - I'm due 7th June 2008. My partner and I are so excited. I am hoping and praying that this pregnancy will be OK. So much has happened to me in the last 12 months that this would just be the icing on the cake! When we found out, my fantastic boyfriend sent around 50 white roses to my work - I had to make up some dodgy excuses though x
We have only been together for 5 months before finding out we're expecting, but he's the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I'm sure this little one will be too x

Officially made it to 6 weeks on Saturday. Yay! Am starting to get tender bbs and am feeling tired but no sickness yet. Saw my GP on Monday who wants to see me every 4 weeks with a urine sample. He took my blood pressure and checked my weight. He said my blood pressure was very low but he's not really concerned - it was 100/50. Said I really shouldn't worry about having had a previous miscarriage and it shouldn't have any affect on this, my second, pregnancy. We told both sets of parents and brothers and sisters this weekend - couldn't hold it in any longer. They were all over the moon x

Well I've made it to 8 weeks! I haven't had any sickness yet, but am now constantly nauseous and my appetite has completely gone. The thought of any food makes me feel ill. I am also tired to the point of exhaustion. I wish I could snap out of it but I feel like I'm walking round in a complete daze.

I had some bleeding yesterday and because of previous mc we went to the hospital, who were great, and had a u/s. I was so frightened, but am pleased to say everything was OK. They dated me 9+2 and baby's doing fine at 2.4cm. They didn't have an explanation for the bleed, but I'm just so glad that I got the reassurance through the u/s that everythings ok. I had my eyes closed so I didn't see much at first but then when the sonographer confirmed everything was ok I had a sneaky peak and saw my tiny baby was ok. My boyfriend had little tears in his eyes, which made me love him even more (if that's possible).
Just rang hospital for blood results and all ok. Hcg levels are at 100,000 and iron levels are good.

I bought a doppler from the internet and it arrived yesterday. My boyfriend found baby's heartbeat pretty much straight away and it was 178 bpm. It was just to reassure us that everythings ok. It was nice for him to be involved too x

I've just got back from my dating scan and am so happy! Everything's OK with the baby (only one in there)and there don't seem to be any problems. YAY! My blood pressure was low again 96/52 but midwife says there's nothing to worry about.
I am now 12 weeks and 3 days pregnant and our little one is 67mm long. My next appointments are at 16 weeks for the triple test, 19 weeks for anomoly scan and 23 weeks for glucose tolerance tests - I have to have these because both my Dad and my boyfriend's Dad have Type II diabetes.
Wednesday, 9 Jan
I haven `t written for a while - basically not much to tell. I didn `t have the triple test in the end as we decided that whatever the outcome the baby would be loved anyway, so it would just be additional worry. I `ve got my anomoly scan in two days and I `m really excited, but scared too, just in case they do find anything out of the ordinary. I haven `t felt baby move yet - or I don `t think I have. I feel little tingles now and again but they are so far apart I can `t compare them. I `ve had a few stretching aches, I couldn `t really call them pains.I think we `re going to find out what we are having on Friday (11th) so I can `t wait. We `ve had a big dilemma over whether to find out or not, but I think we will.
Monday, 14 Jan
Had my 20 week scan on Friday but they couldn `t tell me the sex of the baby! Baby was asleep when we got there so the sonographer checked what she could from the position baby was lay. I had to go for a walk and a wee(!) (and a sneaky twix) and come back for another scan. Baby was still asleep but had moved slightly so that she could check some other things. I have to go back on the 22nd to have another scan just to make sure that the heart chambers and ventricals are developing properly - everything looks ok though, she just needs to do definite checks and at least I get to see the little one again, and hopefully find out whether its a he or a she. My blood results came back ok too, so nothing to worry about there.
The sonographer did say that I would have trouble feeling the baby move for a little while yet. The placenta is lying on the front wall of my stomach, with baby lying at the back - this must be why I keep having bad backache.

I actually felt little one move for the first time this weekend. On Saturday night my tummy felt as though I `d gone over a bump in the road(?) and then this morning my oh had his hand on my belly and I could feel little kicks. I thought I `d feel a bit freaked out when this happened, but I didn `t, it was really nice and quite comforting x

I went for another scan yesterday just to check baby `s heart was developing ok. All was fine!! I had to have two scans again because little one was asleep face down first time. I had to go for a walk around and have a fizzy drink to see if I could get any movement. Baby did move eventually and the lady got the measurements she needed. I did'n't find out the sex either so it will be one big surprise, even though my boyfriend is still convinced its a boy x
Friday, 25 Jan
Daddy felt baby move today!! It was about 5am this morning and we had both just dozing back off to sleep. My boyfriend put his hand on my tummy and we both felt this almightly kick (the strongest one I `ve felt) as if to say `get off she `s tired `. Then baby did it a few more times until he moved his hand ha ha.

Went to midwife yesterday for 24 week checkup. She is sending my water off for a check up just in case I have an infection. This is apparently linked to backache? Baby seems absolutely fine, strong heartbeat.I am measuring 23cms so just right. She did say my bump was big and very high for this stage, but everyone is different.
Monday, 3 Mar
I proposed to my Mr Wonderful on Friday (29.02.08) and he said yes!! YAY. I was a bit of a chicken because I didn `t ask in person, I sent a huge bunch of flowers to his work with a poem. I `ve got my 3d scan tomorrow, I `m very excited.
Wednesday, 5 Mar
We went for our 4d scan last night and the baby wouldn `t play. We tried 3 times! The first time his hands and feet were covering his face, the second time his head was snuggled behind my hip bone so the sonographer couldn `t get a good picture and the third time he had turned completely and curled in a ball. Definitely camera shy! We `re going to go back on Thursday to see if he will play then. It was amazing though - we managed to see him for about 5 seconds sucking his thumb. I `m only saying him because I don `t like saying it - it could have very well been a little girl.
Friday, 7 Mar
We went for another 4d scan last night and baby wasn `t playing again. Feet above his head! We managed to get a 30 second dvd and I suppose that `s all we need. They did worry me though and said I had to go for further scans at the hospital because it seems that I have low amniotic fluid. I went to the GP yesterday too for the results of my urine test. No water infection, all fine.
Friday, 7 Mar
Been for emergency scan today after speaking with the midwife this morning. The amount of amniotic fluid around baby is normal and there is nothing to worry about. I feel a lot better now. Baby was so active at the hospital, and no feet in the face so it would have made a great 3d scan. Contrary thing x
Friday, 14 Mar
Been for glucose tolerance test today. Fasting blood sugar was 3.7 and two hours later was 4.9. This is normal apparently. Next appointment is full bloods again at 30 weeks.
Monday 14th April
I finally bought my pram at the weekend. I went for a bugaboo chameleon in dark grey and sand. The nursery is decorated now and the carpet was out down on Saturday. The furniture comes on the 21st and I can't wait! I'm getting quite scared now as it all seems a bit too real. I can't really feel any massive kicks or punches, just big movements. Only 7 weeks to go x
Wednesday 23rd April
Nursery Furniture has now arrived and is lovely (if not a bit big!). Feels a bit more real now. This is my last week at work and hae got loads to do around the house when I finish. Can't wait though. Only 5 more weeks til I see my little baby.
Friday 25th April 2008
This is my last day at work - feels very strange. I've got lots of presents and cards. Its all getting scary!
