My name is Mariel and my Husband is Josh. We currently live on a Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni Japan. I know, what is Iwakuni. Its a great small town in Japan full of patient courteous people. We are best friends with our Neighbors who, can you believe it, are having a baby also. She is 6 weeks and I am 9 (20080323). I am excited, a little crazy, moody and senstive but excited. It is especially nice to have so many people to experience this with.

I would call the doctor just in case...... they may or may not make you come in. It would be worth the piece of mind though.

Glad to hear things are going well!! You are a rare one having a girl - I heard across the board its like 7 to 1 people having boys to girls! How exciting! We are doing great here. Just went to the doc today and they moved my due date from Oct 20th to the 8th so i'm actually 28 weeks! He weighs 2lbs 9oz and my cervix is longer than ever but the only bad thing is that I'm having contractions... Right now they aren't affecting the cervix so no biggie, but they are monitoring me every 2 weeks to be safe. I feel good and have lots of energy so it is hard for me to take it easy!
How are the 2 jobs going? How's your hubby? Don't worry at all about gaining too much 22 pounds is perfectly normal at this stage! I eat everything these days - will power is so far gone! ha. You have the nursery ready yet? Are you still going to visit your family? Does your girl move alot?

I know exactly what you mean about the back pain and getting big. I'm in some kind of depression! ( and I hate to say that because I should be so happy that I have nothing to complain about) BUT I've gained 30 pounds!!! I can't even look at the scale anymore or try to go shopping for clothes! (they must have the wrong sizes printed on those tags because that can't be right!) lol Anyway, the kicking could go on forever, I love it .... Do you feel yours more at the top of the uterus or the bottom? Hope your doing good otherwise! P.S. do your hips ever hurt?

try your best with the weight thing but dont worry about it taht much. from the reading i have done and the new research that is out it seems we are genetically designed to gain a particular weight and every one is different. in the studies i have read most women gain around the same amount for each full term pregnancy. doctors suggest and AVERAGE weight gain of 25-35 pounds but are finding most women gain 30+ and still have healthy fullterm babies with no side effects on mom or baby. so i wouldnt worry........ this is coming from a mom on bed rest who gained 44lbs with my first pregnancy and i am at 19 lbs right now for weight gain and NEITHER my ob or gp have said a word and neither is concerned. good luck and eat healthy and no worries!

Leaking boobs are all part of pregnancy and yes it will continue. I suggest you buy some breast pads or something to protect your bras and shirts. It usually will only happen when there is pressure on your breast, like when you are sleeping on one, but you just never know. My breasts have been leaking since week 13.

It so nice to hear from you! Congrats on your girl (I am a little bit jealous!) but a boy will be great too! How are you feeling? Your tummy is adorable! Are you wearing your maternity clothes yet? You are so tiny that everything probably fit except around your belly!
How's the part-time job going? When does your mom come to visit again?
Our vacations were amazing and relaxing - just what we needed! My husband has been having a stressfull time at work - lots of changes - and since he runs the place he's been spending extra hours making sure it goes smoothly - which leaves me with extra time to relax which I'm supposed to since they are monitoring my cervix length and told me no exercising, riding or sex

My poor hubby, especially cause he finds my growing body as such a turn on - its torture for us!! Oh well, we go back a week from today and hopefully will get a green light if all is well! Jazz felt a kick for the first time last night - it was so amazing! YOu feeling much movement? Doesn't it seem so real all of a sudden? Have you been baby shopping at all? I've been doing alot of research and working on my registry. My shower is Aug 10th so I have a bit of time yet.

Nathans the same way... He is always buying stuff for Kaleb! I'm glad to know that your nephew thats named kaleb is cute...... isn't that funny that for some reason that matters!! lol I used to work at a daycare so it was really hard to come up with a name because every name I liked, I had a kid with that name be a little terror (none by the name of Isa) lol Anyway that stinks that you guys can't do too much to the room, but you'll make it work!!!

thanks for the conrats, you'll proberly find too that once you can listen to youre little girl kicking & moving you'll reconise the little fluttery feelings, altough babys being babys she might decide to let you feel her just before it arrives lol! hi ive got a doppler, i got it off ebay when i was only 10 weeks & ive been listening to my little boy since he was 11 weeks, its the most amazing experience, you can not only hear the heart beat but also babys movements & kicks even when i couldnt feel it myself i always new he was very active & i would recommend them to everyone! Mine is called a Hi bebe fetal doppler (model BT 200), you can pick them quite reasonably! good luck & cograts on youre little girl x

Thanks!! Were sooo happy.... his name is Kaleb John Chase. We already bought the crib and changing table and have decorated in baby safari animals... ahhh super cute!! Have you guys gotten anything yet??
