Emma 6 months on........

I cant believe its been half a year!! wow has it flown by. Emma is doing great:) shes a normal happy healthy baby always giggling and smiling. she can sit up by herself and is currently mastering how to crawl..already perfected doing it backwards lol, she does do it and follows me around everywhere but often forgets to lift her head to see where shes going shes so fast lol just a week or so and shell have it down!!! shes had a few not so well spells having the cold here and there. she has been admitted to the hospital with a upper respitory infection which was dreadful! its just heartbreaking to watch your child sick whether its a cold or more serious. shes taken to solids well but is not a big eater at all she loves all veggies mostly sweet potatoe and butternut squash and just some fruits, shes not keen on juice either but loves water from her sippy cup:)) shes a little petite baby lol shes 26 and a half in long and 14lbs 6 but gaining consistently:) Shes a very active playful baby..loves to dance by rocking back and forth on your knee if she recognises a song you have to hold on tight lol, her current favourite is row row row the boat! shes got a cheeky personality lol she hates nappies full stop i have to practically hold her down to get it on and when i do she just peels back the sticky bits hehe....also loves to hide under her highchair although shes in full view of everyone she thinks she isnt haha. life for me has been as equally grand:) being a single mummy is hard work but extremely rewarding:))) Emmas dad was interested at first but of course things change priorities come to the fore and unfortunately his g/f seems to come first which is sad. we will soon be starting mediation. i know he realises he is a father...i just think he has to want to be one! hopefully we can come to a stable arrangement so the Emma can enjoy both my time and that of her daddys. Currently house hunting but very hard as i cant work at the moment but i am looking into funding for daycare:)) i hope to go back to college soon too...so much to do so little time lol in the meantime im just going to concentrate on my precious little girl:))) take care mums and mums to be..stay in touch:)) xx
First tastes ...messy baby :)))

Emma said her first word!!!!!!!
For the past two weeks or so emma has been babbling like a trooper!! mamama, babababa, bumbumbum lol, but today i was sitting on the sofa reading a magazine while emma played on the floor with her little singing alfie and all of a sudden i heard maaaaaam!!! i looked up and thought it cant be ill see if she does it again and then ill know. i carried on reading after playing with her a little and there it was again maaaam!! i looked up and there she was looking back grinning away lol yaaaay her first word was mum and shes not stopped saying it!! im so proud i could cry everytime i hear it lol it has its cons though Emmas taking up the habit of 'pretend crying ' when i take things away from her and of course its now combined with a very feel sorry for me 'muuuum' LOL i havent gave in to her ...yet haha xxx

Well Emma turned a big 8 months old yesterday! wow is time a flying. Were both doing really well, i have to say this past month(emmas 7th month) her development has come on in leaps and bounds. Shes such a little trooper! Shes babbling up a storm, few words she can say are mama(when shes upset or tired) muuuum(when shes mad at me lol) she can say dada but its not yet at anything although me and her daddy are working on it lol. yep thats right daddy is back, not with me just being a daddy, its awesome so far so good. i think hes realised how much hes missed. he sees her weekly, will soon be fortnightly overnight and i he has been fantastic with her. she gets so excited to him now arms and legs go ten to the dozen, which is lovely to see.
Emma is crawling up a storm ...attempts to climb (thankful for stairgates)she can pull herself up to stand and is now cruising around the furniture. she eats better now not so fussy, her favourite is spaghetti with veg and tomato that i make for her, hates oranges or anything orange flavoured. she can wave bye bye not always but she will sometimes do it. shell also sometimes make the hand gesture for 'all gone' when her food is done lol so cute. im looking forward to many more months of watching her develop and grow. i love this age though and im sad shes growing so fast i just want to put her on pause for a wee while lol!! anyways ladies i could go on for days take care, stay in touch xx

Monday 4th August 2008,
My little girl has learned how to clap her hands!! Emma has been pulling herself up to stand for a wee while now but will lose her balance easily and will often fall to a clatter:( bless her lol, today when i got in from work she managed to work out how to get from her standing position to her bottom:))) i cheered and clapped hands at her for doing a good job and she decided to aswell!! hehe was so cute, even happier she did it at home and not at the babysitters LOL so i got to witness it :)))
