A little about me...
After my husband and i got married in September of '06 we decided to start trying to have a baby! then last year i thought that we had succeeded when af was 10 days late altho i had taken 2 home tests and they were both negitive i really wanted to be pregnant so i went to the dr and he did some blood work and when the test came back negitive he asked a few questions and refered me to a great dr here who speacializes in fertility. After a few tests and some long conversations with this doctor, he diagnosed me with Poly Cystic Overian Syndrom... he told me that if i lost some weight and changed my life and start taking a drug daily that my chances of concieving would inprove! i tryed it for a few months but i always felt ill while i was on this medication never like myself so i stopped taking it!
When a friend of mine and my husbands found out that she was pregnant she asked us to be the god parents, i decided to put our efforts on hold but not out of our minds completely. when i started concintrating on her and our soon to be god daughter i found out that i too am now expecting! what a complete suprise! we are so Excited and loving every second of it!
i can't wait to meet my little one!
To all those trying to concieve and having troubles ... there is hope just try not to stress out over it! concintrate on you and your health who knows what the future has in store! :)

Well i went to my ultrasound on Wednesday! Everything looked good and the heart beat was soooo strong and FAST i was so relieved! I almost cried when i heard it! My husband was so funny he stopped the u/s tech in the middle of a sentence to ask her again ` ummm ... what did you say was the baby? ` lol it was cute! I still don `t really feel like i am pregnant yet maybe because i `m not showing at all. The u/s put me back 5 days so as of wed feb 20 i was 7w+2 days even though i was supossed to enter week 8 that day! The tech said it shouldn `t change my due date yet and that the dr. would probably still go by an Oct 1 due date! WE CAN `T WAIT!Thursday, 6 Mar
Well i got my results from all my blood work and my first ultrasound and the doctor said that everything looks perfect! Thats great! but heres the kicker.... he also said that the ultrasound showed that my overies were in EXCELENT condition! what happened to the P.C.O.S?? was i wrongfully diagnosed!? i dont ` know what to think now! Any way first Apt withmy OBGYN on March 11th i can `t wait but am a little nervous too. a friend of mine that was due Aug 4 just found out that she had a miscarriage in january she had been walking around for almost amonth thinking that everything was fine and then all of a sudden it wasn `t so that scares me! i can `t wait for the baby to start moving so that i know he/she is ok! Also my God daughter was born on Monday march 3 @ 11:54 am weighing 7lbs 2 oz and measured 19.5 inches! she `s sooo precious! I can `t wait! :):) 
FRIDAY MAY 2/2008
I went for my u/s on wendnesday and i can't believe how greatthings are going! i'm soooo excited! i love my baby sooo much already! hubby and i were argueing back and forth for a few weeks on whether or not we were going to find out the sex of the baby cus he really doesn't want to know but i do! after a while i caved for the firsttime in a long time and decided that i wouldnt' find out what it was... good thing too cus i woulda been dissappointed! lol baby didn't want to co-operate at all. my u/s put me back one week so i should have been 18 weeks exactly on wednesday but instead it measured me at 17 weeks 1 day... maybe that is why i still havne't felt the little one moving around in there. oh well it will happen soo enough! but i still cna't wait for it! :) this whole experience is sooo exciting and everything i've ever dreamed it to be! The doctor was thinking that i may have been leaking amniotic fluid but they say my fluid levels are perfect sooo... i dont' tknow what the dr was thinking! i'm jsut soooo happy and greatful that everything is going so well.
My husband has been in holland all week so he missed the u/s but i e-mailed him the pics... i wish i coulda seen his face... we are soo happy and couldn't ask for more

they are pretty much an awesome alternative to cloth or disposable diapers :) i never much enjoyed the idea of a "diaper pail" either... or scraping poo off of a cloth diaper! so these are great for me! they have a disposable inner lining that your take out, swish in the toilet and flush!
anyway, the picture of your kitty (shaved) is freaking hilarious! i used to have a maine coon, and contemplated shaving her during the summer... she was lucky enough that i decided to keep her inside :D

I read your post and I hope everything is fine. Just try to relax--I know so much easier said then done. Did your doctor so a slide to check if you are leaking fluid?? They checked me with my daughter on a slide and looked under the mircoscope. I hope everything is fine and you will be in my thoughts.

Just read your message about the old blood and discharge. How much discharge was there? I know at this time our bodies are creating at lot more than usual, so hopefully that's all it was. I'll be thinking good thoughts!

i dont know what to say bout finding out I know i have to know the only thing i can say is if you dont ask get the video and make guess's at what ur baby is... you can even put some pics on here maybe all us moms to be could help you on if its a boy or girl and he wont know...

Ohh so you get to tell them once you have a baby shower? Jase doesn't want to know full stop and it's driving me crazy. He's 'sure' it's a boy too so I want him to be prepared that it might not be but he won't listen LOL.. Silly men!
I've never had a baby shower.. sounds like fun though.

Just wanted to say I know how you feel bout your hubby going away... my fiance works away and is only back every 2-3 weeks for 3 days and it's really hard.
I've managed to time it that he is here for our next scan but he doesn't want to know the sex either. I didn't but do now. He said I can find out and just not tell him but I'm worried I'll slip up and ruin the surprise for him so considering now finding out also.
How do you think you'll go?

Thanks for the comment! I think I found a really cool one at babies r us online. It is the 4 in one and it has a changing table that converts to a night stand when your ready for the bed. It's about 300 dollars so I think that's a pretty good combination for the money!

Hi there. I was ready the conversation between you and agonzales and just mentioned to her and on the 14 week blog that you get Born-Free Baby Bottles which are a little expensive but not much different to Dr Browns, which is Toxin free, its made of a different type of plastic, it prevents colic and ear infections and so forth. So if your interested Google it and see if its more or less what you are looking for. So far i have bought them for my little one due in September. Have a lovely Day.

Oh really! Well I just thought maybe these bottles Im talking about would have been a good idea since the nipples are the same as the soothie pacifier. Which I know alot of babies love.. well at least my last daughter did. I have seen some bottles thats say "soft polycarbonate-free and bisphenol-A free materials" maybe thats whats in the plastic, but not sure. I got that from the adiri bottles. Heard about them in the pregnancy magazine. I was also thinking about those but idk I guess I'll have to try a few out before finding one that doesnt really give my baby colic. I have been having pains, like very mild cramps. I figure it is my uterus growing or the baby growing. I know that all the symptoms are supposed to disappear by this time, but I believe they left out some of it. In the 2nd tri., other than the baby kicking, wouldn't it be normal to feel our uteruses growing?

Hey.. from what I could gather, it may not even be your mucus plug but just mucus discharge, a few wks ago I also had a very small amount of mucus mixed with color tinges and everything has been great... if it was some of your mucus plug as long as your not having preterm labor symptoms then it will replace itself within a few days!.. you can call your doctor to feel better but with no other symptoms Im sure you fine!

I always think you can never call to early when you have questions (especially if you are worried). The doctors are used to all kinds of calls and should appreciate that you are a concerned mogher..... just wanting to take the best care of that baby of yours =)
