Hi Val:
Glad that you had a good holiday. We have been to the beach a few times and Ryan has been fine. If he gets too fussy we take him home which is only a 5 minute walk. So far no more nasty looks from insensitive wenches. Ryan is now 13 lbs 11 oz and 2 months old. He had his checkup yesterday and his first shot & one oral one. He has decided to go on boob strike during the day so I pump milk into bottles for the daytime and at night he nurses. Hopefully this is a phase. He eats every 2.5 - 3 hours and sometimes 4 at night. He sleeps a lot. I am told we need to give him more tummy time to help him to strengthen his neck - he doesn't much like tummy time! My brother and his family of three kids arrive tomorrow for 10 days (staying nearby in a rented condo on the beach). Ryan is the main attraction. My cousin is here from Scotland and is getting lots of smiles from Ryan. Oh yes...he started smiling last week - so sweet!

Hello Val, my goodness, i am so sorry its been so long, i have barely been online, anywhere and at the lake we are at for the summer there is very little internet service (ridiculously slow, if it does happen to work)...i have been there for 2 weeks already. CONGRATULATIONS!!! How is Penelope? How are you??? Please give me your email address again. i wont be able to go online here much this summer and would like to keep in touch with you sweets. Besides that, i havent been able to log on to this site easily!!! I can email from my cell. Rowan is awesome, so big and hungry all the time!!! he is almost 15 lbs. I am still pumping, making very little milk so i do what i can. How about you? How is breastfeeding? I miss this site so much, i miss you and all my lady friends who helped along the way. I am in town for the day getting groceries and see that you are away until the 5th. Hey there, that high baby of yours!!! do some jumping jacks? lol. i can understand why you're discouraged time s a tickin and you ve waited a long time to meet this little lady. trust me, the wait is worth it and you'll miss the sleep and normal boobs!!! i wish i could be pregnant again, just for a day or two to catch up and be "pain free".
did i say how sore my boobies are???? i need a new website, "i am nursing. com " to figure this all out. i havent had a chance to look where i go now to chit chat on here about that stuff!
be strong. labour isnt so bad and you forget it all the moment they are out, seriously, feels like hard cramps and an ache like you have to pee really bad and the beauty is there's a break in between, so just push through each one at a time. you'll do awesome. shower, or bath if your water doesnt break...its a good distraction and makes them feel tolerable. and if you end up having a c section, it is what it is, and she will be here, safely and you wont be so sore downtown.
i am so excited for you to see Penelope, it s the most amazing moment. i cant wait to see a picture of her too!!

ok, so its happening, im wondering about you right now and if contractions started, thats what happened to me. I woke up this am and thought of you right away and wondered it Penelope was going to wait for the induction or come on her own... i think she's like her mommy and taking charge. Remember to try and let your body relax through contractions, breathe, i counted through mine and trent rubbed my lower back hard, with cold packs in between. OMG. im excited for you. i cant believe we went through this a week ago today. let me know how you are sweetie.

hey val, so you're still here huh. first time babies take their tim. has your dr talked about induction yet? i know you must be anxious but i will tell you to enjoy your last bit. this whole thing gets harder on your body i sorry to say, breastfeeding has been going well, toe curling pain, but love sharing this with rowan and im amazed what my body produces. my boobs are ginormous and like rocks that ache for relief yet to only produce more when i pump or feed. i need to talk to the nurse today about it...its a bit of a guessing game, catch 22 that i am not sure what work best. they say engorgement only lasts 24-48 hours so im hoping it tapers off soon.

i have had so much company, and feel overwhelmed at times. i just dont get how people dont know any better and show up,. stay long and even for dinner. invite themselves for the weekend and everything!!! trent is now officially the "yes" man and its "no problem" to come by. in the meantime im the one running on 4 hours sleep a day. GRRR.

my mom is here still and has been a god send, she just takes care of things, lunch, dinner, makes me fruit plates and ice cold waters for my nursing, tells me the time i start, it has been awesome. trent leaves monday for work, and my mom leaes sunday so i presume ill hit the wall early next week.

k, im rambling and didnt even read your note yet. im going to make up a couple bottles with the milk i just pumped and then ill be back.

tell me how you are, how and what your feeling....im excited for you to meet her. despite all my whining above, looking at Rowan melts me completely, he amazes me in every way and i gladly stay up with him and adore him t night, when he's all mine to stare at and feed. you will be blessed soon, if you havent been already!!

Just checking in! Hope you are doing well. Has anyone mentioned the membrane sweep to you? No one has said anything to me, I'm going to ask tomorow at my MD appointment. If that works I imagine it is preferable to being induced. But my appointment tommorow isn't with my regular MD, she is on vacation this week, so I'm not sure if that will make a difference.
I'm sure all your tests came out well and you got to see and hear your little one!
Still nothing new here :(

HI MY FRIEND, SO I HAD ROWAN RAY YESTERDAY!!! HE'S BIG! 8LBS 10 OZ, I WAS REALLY SURPRISED! I LABOURED AT HOME FOR MOST OF IT, WENT TO THE HOSPITAL AT 11 AM, AND WAS 8 CM DILATED. 2 HOURS LATER HE WAS HERE, THE PUSHING WAS HARD BUT OVERALL IT WAS AMAZING. TRENT WAS SO GOOD TO ME, DIDNT EVEN CALL THE DOULA. COMPLETELY NATURAL, DIDNT TEAR OR HAVE STITCHES. SORRY TO KEEP YOU HANGIN, DIDNT HAVE INTERNET ACCESS. SO WHAT S NEW WITH YOU, ARE YOU AT WORK TODAY OR ANYTHING HAPPENING. LET ME KNOW.
