I'm a little further along than i thought...due date is now March 3rd going by the size of baby.
My dad reckons baby is a boy as i sent my parents one of the scan pics. I think secretly he would like a grandson as he has a grand-daughter already. I think baby is a girl but who knows.
Bring on the next scan.
Whilst i don't have any other kids of my own i do have 3 step-kids. Twin girls, almost 16 and a boy 10. They live in NJ with their mum and we are going over to tell them they are gonna be having a wee brother or sister soon. I REALLY hope they take it well. I get on with them brilliantly and am very close to them but i think they may feel that it's not fair that the new baby will get dad all the time when they don't. Still, i think once they get used to the idea they will be great with baby.
I'm really showing now too. I saw a picture taken of me 2 days ago and i have a very pregnant belly...it's the first time i've felt pleased with my changing shape!
Baby is very active just now. I don't think baby likes the London Underground so much as i get very hard kicks when i'm on the tube.
Wed 17th Oct is the date when we find out what sex baby is - we can't wait.
My left side sciatic nerve is so painful - more exercise for me i think!
Sleeping is now a problem - i just can't get comfortable and i'm knackered.
I'm having a GIRL.....yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Well , some of you guys know that 2 of my 3 step kids didn't react very well to the baby news but happily the twin that did is so excited about having a baby sister that she made a video collage of various family pics of everyone and the last pic in the sequence was the most recent scan of her little sister...awwwwwwwww. It made Chris and I cry and we feel very proud of her. One great step kid out of 3 isn't so bad :o))))) but i can only hope that eventually the other 2 get excited too.
Baby is going to be called Iris and the following explains why i have rainbows on my background -
Iris was a messenger-goddess who rode rainbows between heaven and earth to deliver messages from Olympus.
Iris seems to love stick her wee tiny bum out all the time - sooooo cute and so weird to look at!
OK, whilst i wouldn't recommend it and it didn't do it on purpose i realised that Iris went crazy when i had a little caffeine - i haven't been drinking that at all during pregnancy so it was really strange to feel her bouncing off the walls as such. It did mean that Chris had a really good feel and was shocked at just how hard her kicks were - yep, the things we women go through so our men can feel their baby too ;o)
Still nothing - not one sign that baby might come soon - soooooo boring and frustrating.
