So I found out today that I am pregnant....we weren't trying.... We kinda shrugged it off but then I played with the numbers in my head....then found an ovulation calculator online and punched in the date of my last period...it was likely that I had just ovulated..! ..the timing on this was perfect! I knew it was too soon to test so i bought an ovulation kit instead...figured i could keep testing to see if i get my surge later...than i'll know i wasn't ready that day our 'mishap' occurred...looong story short i had a few tests show a very very faint line...went to the doc today and got blood work done..it's positive. :) I am exactly 2 weeks pregnant! How many women know exactly when it occurred? If you are trying you probably have several days it can be....not me...2/2/08...that's when it all went down! Funny how this stuff works out...we are both very happy!!! I'm scared to have this knowledge this early though...i know how high the rates of miscarriage are...and most women who have one this soon never even knew they were pregnant....we shall see if this was meant to be... :)
Starting my horse-pill/vitamins tomorrow.

Lakesha Smith - Tuesday, 13 May I'm feeling ok,just the occasional morning sickness. It's not all day,or all the time, but when it does hit,I have to run for the trash can!
kayp - Tuesday, 13 May Yay for you! You found out what you were having! Have you thought of names yet? I hope to find out at my 20 week scan...I'm jealous!!
Lakesha Smith - Tuesday, 13 May Did you have bad morning sickness,or occasional morning sickness?
sichic714 - Friday, 9 May thank you so much for your reply about the weight issue. makes me feel much better and less worried!
caseybev - Thursday, 8 May Hi Lil, I saw your post and your situation sounds a lot like mine. I had a leep done about 6 years ago but I've also had several colposcopy's (sp) from abnormal paps. My last pap came back clear in November and I got pregnant in January. I've had the same doctor this whole time so she knows my history and when I became pregnant she said she wanted me to start getting weekly ultrasounds starting in week 18. I've already had two but they were to check the baby, not my cervix. I've had a completely uneventful pregnancy so far, everything has just been perfect. But I worry that my cervix is weak and I just don't know it yet. My doctor doesn't think I'll have an incompetent cervix but why else would I need an ultrasound every week?? I try not to worry, at least not until I know more next week at my first measurement. Take care and keep me posted on your appointments if you'd like...we're due a day apart and it would be nice to know how a sister cervix is measuring up... =) Casey
mcbeas - Wednesday, 7 May Thanks for the comment. I hope everything goes well tomorrow. Take care.
daniandbebe08 - Sunday, 4 May congrats on your pregnancy!!! I knew from the day of conception i was pregnant with both. It was the tests that were being lazy haha.. :) Im due in October as well :)
booots26 - Thursday, 24 April I am glad to hear that you are feeling better:) I have been feeling okay, just a few minor cramps but my dr. said everything was fine, she said it's just the baby trying to make room. I am going to enjoy this time as well, b/c they said after this things change dramatically and then its back to the crazyness:)
booots26 - Friday, 11 April Hey.. I don't really have a belly yet, my lower abdomen is really big though my doctor said in the next few weeks it will expand and i will start to show. I am excited to start actually seeing my belly grow too. I hope ur u/s goes well, let me know how it all goes. I have been feeling good, just still very tired and my new prenatal vitamins are horrible but they are helping the baby so I take them. How are you feeling?
BunBaker - Wednesday, 9 April I'm so happy to hear you're doing well so far. I didn't really start showing until around the fourth month with my first daughter, but with this one, I started showing much sooner. Don't worry about your size because if you read ahead on some of the weeks there are a lot of women who hardly show at all until the end. Consider yourself lucky if you are still small because for the first few months I just looked fat! :o) Anyway, we only have about 5 more weeks until our c-section. It seems like an eternity, but then it is also really sneaking up fast. We're so excited!
BunBaker - Tuesday, 8 April Hi, I was just wondering how things are going? I posted to you several weeks ago after your post about low progesterone levels, and I was just curious if you are progressing?
booots26 - Thursday, 3 April Hello, I am in week 11 as well and I read that you are on progesterone. I just recently got off it and I didn't like it, I had to take 100mg a day, and i was given the vaginal deposits b/c the dr. said you absorb more that way,but it helped the baby, so I am grateful for that. Has it been making you sick? The only way it didn't make me sick was to take it and lay down, that was the only thing that worked. Congrats on your pregnancy:)
sharra - Friday, 28 Mar Hi, most likley a combo of the two. This preg has been the worst, but I learned so much about letting go of what you can't handle and surrendering. I have always been 'in control' and the one who trudges through. The last months has taught me the importance of asking for help and letting my husband, ect to take over when they see I am unable. But now... I am wearing the pants again! Well, almost. Hee, hee. so, what kind of symptoms are you experiencing? I am glad you decided to do what you felt was best for the baby. I am sure the baby thanks you. Take care.
sharra - Wednesday, 26 Mar How are you doing? any improvments?
hougeyk28 - Saturday, 22 Mar How are you feeling? Is the medicine helping?
JennReedy - Tuesday, 18 Mar I'm sorry, but I think that being pregnant is pure torture. Not only do you feel like you've had the flu FOREVER, you're constantly worrying that you're carrying a dead baby. Am I right? Glad that I'm not alone in this, though I wish it were easier for us! ~ Jenn
alexisd - Monday, 17 Mar Hi! I am from week 25. I had very low levels of progesterone too( can't remember anymore what it was)but they had me take progesterone and now I am having a healthy baby girl! Congrats on yours!!
sweettj75 - Sunday, 16 Mar I went from a 11 to a 8 and then 10. My hcg is fine. I have been spotting from the first day (2 months now). 2 weekends ago I went to the ER because I was bleeding a lot and it didnt look like it was going to stop but it took 6 hr and then it stop still spotting and the babies are doing good. Oh yeah I have been praying a lot too.
sharra - Sunday, 16 Mar yeah, I really understand the 'playing God' aspect. Let me know how you are progressing.
blessed-in-atl - Sunday, 16 Mar They don'y make me feel sick but if you are taking them orally they might make you drowsy. I am on 100 mg 2 times daily taken vaginaly. My doctor said it is better absorbed that way than orally (The oral dose would have been 200mg 2 times a day or I could have taken the injection once a week but the needle was about an inch and a half long so I chose to take it vaginaly. I will be taking it until week 36.
firsttimemommy2b - Sunday, 16 Mar I know what you mean. I wasn't planning for a baby, had no intentions of having any children and the moment that I saw 2 pink line, tested out of pure suspicion because I was 5 days late:), I haven't smoked another cigarette, drank anymore wine and have made some huge decisions that I never thought I would ever have to. It is great though the further along you get, for me anyway, my mind set changed about a whole lot of things! I am glad that you decided to do the meds though, without them the baby may not survive. Keep in touch, I would like to know how things progress:)
