Benjamin David was born on Christmas Eve, 2007 at 3 a.m. on the nose - this was exactly two years to the day after my husband proposed to me! I had always joked around about how I didn't know how we'd ever top such a wonderful Christmas Eve - well, we just did! Ben (named in honor of Ben Folds) weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and was 19.75 inches long. What a perfect, wonderful gift.

Update, 8/25/08: I've been meaning to put an update on my page for along time. Ben turned eight months old yesterday - where has the time gone? In the past two weeks he's started crawling, rolling from back to tummy, pulling himself up on furniture and his crib railing, letting go of the furniture to balance unassisted, and two days ago he even pulled himself to standing in the middle of the living room, without any help at all! He's such a big boy now.

Hi Lisa. Yes, Lily is still not nursing. I have no idea what is going on with her. She took a three hour long nap this morning, too! HOw much did you get when you pumped? I am not getting very much... This thing has me so stressed out and so SAD... I have tried the quiet room strategy, but to no avail. I appreciate the suggestion, though. I'll take any thoughts. It's hard not to feel rejected...

Thanks girl, I'm holding my breath that I do get that camera!

DH knows I want it really badly and I've had some friends of friends tell my DH that I obviously have a passion for picture taking and he should make sure I get the camera as I will get some good use out of it. We're broke just like everyone in this crazy economy and of course, I want to make sure the kids get everything they want first. Maybe Santa will come through!

I tried, but thats really hard to do with the other kids home... I can't really go lock myself in a room while the kids r running around the house... Its just not safe :)LOL I am pumping and doing the best that I can for him :)

YAYYYY!!! I have been trying to track that package wondering when you might get it!! LOL I am glad he likes it! I was worried about what to send because last week you were saying that you are VERY particular about what toys/brands he plays with So I hope the Lamaze brand is okay??? I am glad he likes it!!!! That package you sent Ari just brought such a smile to my face, it was a great way to come home after a not so great day at work...so we had to return the favor!!!!
Hope he gets lots of fun out of it as he learns to walk and pull it!!

Hey, thanks for the message. I will definitely look into those books. I never thought the mommy transition would be so difficult. I think up til now I have always thought these emotions, frustrations, etc would just go away but I think I need to learn to deal with them. It helps to know that others feel the same way sometimes. I think we, as mothers, are afraid to speak up about our honest emotions as we are scared people will look at us as being ungrateful, selfish, crazy, etc but I think it is healthy to speak our minds and admit our true emotions about it all. At least that is how I am feeling now that I have vented so publicly on these boards, lol. Thanks again for the message.

Lisa i feel the same way. I have no interest in even using the 6 year old crib, I am too paranoid. I would rather something that is JPMA certified. My mom thinks I am being all snobby about it. But IMO, why would I skimp on something that is that important for my baby? PLUS... I have a design plan!!

Good morning. I just read last night's posts about people putting awake babies in their cribs and they go to sleep on their own. I am jealous! How did you all get that to happen? Is that a result of the NCSS? Lily is now in her own crib which is a small victory, but I sitll nurse or rock her to sleep at night and nap time...

Thanks girl. I'm already "dried up" - it only took about 2 days . I really know it was time. But it still stinks!
