Benjamin David was born on Christmas Eve, 2007 at 3 a.m. on the nose - this was exactly two years to the day after my husband proposed to me! I had always joked around about how I didn't know how we'd ever top such a wonderful Christmas Eve - well, we just did! Ben (named in honor of Ben Folds) weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and was 19.75 inches long. What a perfect, wonderful gift.

Update, 8/25/08: I've been meaning to put an update on my page for along time. Ben turned eight months old yesterday - where has the time gone? In the past two weeks he's started crawling, rolling from back to tummy, pulling himself up on furniture and his crib railing, letting go of the furniture to balance unassisted, and two days ago he even pulled himself to standing in the middle of the living room, without any help at all! He's such a big boy now.

Thanks lisa, I appreciate it. The worst part is not knowing 100% for sure what is going to happen. I am scared that while I am away w/ my in laws I will have the miscarriage & bleed all over the place. I hate waiting, esp. when I know the outcome will probably not be good. My doc called & my hcg levels are at 76,000, exactly where they should be for 9 weeks. Bad part is my body is going thru a pregnancy but not making a baby. It would take like a miracle. It is okay though. Jd almost crawled today & it made me so happy. He is such a great baby. I can't ask for more than that, right? Thanks for being such a good friend & listening to me whine : )

Lisa! I got the dvd today! thank you SOOOO much, I needed it so bad. Maintaining my weight has never been my worst problem, it is losing weight that I have the hardest time dealing with. So my goal is to try & exercise as much as possible, w/o going overboard, & eating somewhat normal. My last pregnancy I ate like food was going out of style! And I got lazy towards the last trimester.
I really need to order that Britax car seat soon. Jd hates his infant carrier w/ a passion. I hate it too. Maybe after vacation we will do it. You will have to let me know how Ben likes it. Did you end up getting the roundabout? ALSO, Thank you so much for the card too! It was very thoughtful : )))

Well Ben is adorable, and they are so worth it! Yeah, I had HG during my pregnancy and was on bed rest about 90% of the entire pregnancy. I even had to have a PICC line to feed me and baby. Then I had pre-eclampsia...labored for 24 hours...attempted forceps delivery and emergency c-section. Poor little man went through a lot and I did NOT want to supplement at all, but they said I had no choice. I am still working on it though. Have you ever been able to pump much?

I will ask my DH what we are doing.. I know we are going to the Ren Fest the 30th but I don't think we are doing anything for Labor day... I have lots of time in September too, so maybe we could shoot for then for a girls night out.. We are just trying to cram in lots of fun things for the kids before summer is over...
