Hey, it is our first child. We are overcome with excitement, anxiousness, and so many more emotions than we can even explain. We took some fertility meds and they worked. There were thoughts that there were more than one (maybe even 4) coming, but thankfully there is just one - that's just perfect for us right now! We are, of course, nervous and constantly worried that everything is going OK with the baby, all of the time. Since we are still with our fertility doctor (we will be with him until around 11 weeks) we are so spoiled! We have had about a million doctor's appts already, sometimes seeing the doctor 3 times a week! We go once a week now for an vaginal ultrasound and we get to see and hear the little heartbeat. We still cannot get over how much it grows from week to week! It's crazy!!

Hey, now I'm 27 weeks. We found out its a GIRL and we are thrilled! I can't believe she comes in 3 months. Crazy. Getting a little nervous about the delivery now.... but all in all very excited to meet her.

thanks for your info on the cordblood banking!

JennSever - Thursday, 8 May
is there any cost to me to donate the cord blood? i am on state health care and i would love to have my baby's donated, but not if the hospital is going to charge me anything. (i used to think that the word donate meant free, but not so much anymore)

If you go to the baby section of a store, (Walmart, Target etc.) In the are with the bottles, formula, and paci, there will be a section, usually on the bottom with mursing pads. There are usually 4 or 5 different brands. Since you are not nursing at the moment and shouldn't be having any SERIOUS leakage, I would suggest the thin pads. There is always a cheaper generic brand, Johnson and Johnson, Gerber, Lansinoh, Medela and so on.

Hello!
I had some leakage like 2 weeks ago. Right now im 27 weeks. I just wear washable pads. Ive read that its normal. No worry!!

Hi, I have been leaking for months, I am 27 weeks 6 days. I find it is mostly at night. I just wear pads to bed. I have read it on here may times, leaking is normal, but not everyone does.

Yes I like the thicker bras at Motherhood Maternity with the washable cotton pads. Starting having let down feelings and some leakage last week.

hotmomma - Monday, 21 April
I had the same thing happen a couple of weeks ago. I realized that it was because my bra was too small, once I switched bras, it stopped. I know that it is perfectly normal for this to happen, we are not far off from our due date!

stone - Monday, 21 April
That leakage is totally normal. You will have to buy yourself some nursing pads to save your bras and shirts. They will continue to leak until you have the baby and either start nurse or let them dry up as you feed with a bottle. You are lucky, with my first they started leaking at 17 weeks. With this one they started leaking this week (13 weeks).

Hi Lisa...my first baby too, due July 19. I've gained 15 lbs so far. For me anyways, 10 of those were gained in the first trimester when I was really tired, my hormones were out of whack and it was one scrumptious Christmas supper after the other!! And also, it's tough to get out and exercise right now with all this snow and cold.

sweepod08 - Tuesday, 12 Feb
You are supposed to gain weight girl, its your first, as it is mine. I am headed this week into week 18, and thus far I think i am at 10 pds total, i was also overweight though.. 5'4 and 149 to start.. grrr.. But it will be worth it! Don't worry too much, watch what you eat, and let nature take its course, and remember you are RADIANT to the rest of the world - you are pregnant my dear!!!! Best of luck, do you know what you're having yet? We don't find out till Feb 25.. Grrr... Keep me posted!

nMART23 - Tuesday, 12 Feb
I have gained at least 20lbs and I was overweight to start with! I am glad that I am not the only one!

I know exactly what you mean. I used to work out all the time, my husband and I are both prior military. But I haven't been able to do anything since the morning sickness kicked in. On days I do feel good, I'm scared to go to the gym because I don't want to get sick. I'm just hoping that one day soon this sickness crap will end.

lindseynbobby - Monday, 21 Jan
I'm still sick too. I thought it would have gone away by now... everytime I eat, I hope that I can just keep at least half of it down, pathetic huh?

~Lovebug~ - Thursday, 27 Dec
Happy that things are going well for you. Congrats! I too went through a fertility clinic. Enjoy the special treatment while you can!

noodle - Monday, 24 Dec
I hear ya girl! I am having to use it less....but I'm going to stay on the Unisom which helps , for a couple more weeks. The Zofran does constipate me and give me headaches...I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO thankful to be this far along and know the hormones are going down a bit now. I feel so bad for women who are sick the whole time and so happy for those who don't feel any nausea. Have a great Christmas!!!! (by the way, wow, 5, is what we're still saying-we felt 'done' at 4 and yet know this one will be a blessing too-until 8 weeks I was afraid it was twins for several reasons-we confirmed just one-whew!)
