Hi

Me and my husband had only been trying for 2 months when I found out that I was 3 and a half weeks pregnant. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis when I was 15 and had battled problems ever since. I was always told that I may have trouble concieving and I knew that one of my tubes was completely ruined so I didn't imagine for a second that it would happen at all let alone so quickly.

I'm still in shock, but so so happy, this was obviously meant to be, I never thought that I'd feel so much love for something that I'd never even seen. But I do and I love it, its a wonderful feeling. Ayway I'm now in week 6 and have been having those dreaded feelings of worry. I'm just counting down the days until i'm 12 weeks, I'm not so bad now, but I was beside myself a couple of weeks ago. It took me by complete suprise too as I didn't give the worrying a second thought..... always thought I'd get pregnant, enjoy it then have a baby. Naive I know, but the worry just shows what a bond we already have with our little ones. I think i'm over the worst of it now and have calmed down big time, but am still marking the days off until 21st November, when I'll be 12 weeks exactly.

I've started to get the beginings of MS too now, its not been too bad, I just feel like I'm coming down with the flu each time, I haven't actually been sick yet though. My breasts have already gone up a cup size, this resulted in a number of people at work asking me if I'd had implants, and wanting to know which bra had given me that lifted look ha ha ha, they're not too sore yet either, they just feel a bit bruised. Anyone else only get mild symptoms at this stage?

Anyway good luck to everyone who's pregnant and especially to those of you who are TTC.

Thursday, 11 Oct
Ok the morning sickness has really kicked off now, Its happening about 8 times a day, and woke me up twice last night. I still haven't actually been sick, but the feeling of being sick seems to be so much worse right now. Going to go to the doctors to see if there's anything they can do (sign me off work maybe) as all the crackers, ginger biscuits, small meals etc aren't working. Yuk

Monday, 22 Oct
Yay, went to see my consultant at the hospital today (this appointment was booked way before I was pregnant) and he asked me if i'd had my scan yet? As I hadn't he did one there and then for me. God I was shaking so much, but luckily all is well, the baby's growing well and it has a strong heartbeat so I am sooooo relieved. Had a bit of scare when I got home as I had some brown spotting. I phoned the hospital and they said that it was absolutely nothing to worry about and brown spotting is really common around 7 to 9 weeks. The said that as I'd had a scan this morning and all was well that I dodn't need to worry. I'm trying not to. Has anyone else had this?

Sunday, 4 Nov
Hey, I'm feeling really down at the moment, obviously I'm over the moon about being pregnant and am extremely thankful, but I'm so ill at the moment and its really getting me down. I cant go out and haven't been able to go to work for about 3 weeks and am feeling really really lonely. I havent had a single call from any of my friends seeing how I am, even though they know i'm not well and I'm sick of being stuck in the house the whole time...It just feels like my friends have forgotten about me now that I'm pregnant and cant go out. Sorry for the little rant, but is anyone else feeling like this.

Tuesday, 26 Feb

I am feeling really scared. I `ve had a great pregnancy so far and compared to some people I have been very lucky. I just went to my routine midwife appointment and was told that my fundal height is measuring at 30 weeks, when I `m only 26 weeks. She told me that there `s every chance that I `m just going to have a big baby, but also warned that I could have an excessive amount of amnotic fluid which can be serious for both me and the baby. I know that this is pretty rare, but it doesn `t stop me from worrying. I have to go into hospital tomorrow afternoon for a scan and to have some blook tests to check to see if theres any reason for it. Unfortuanmtly I `ve also been suffering from really bad puffy feet and ankles and crushing pains in my chest which is indicating a problem, so I `m keeping my fingers crossed that my little boy is OK. I `ll keep you posted.

Sunday, 2 Mar

Well everythings fine with the baby. I had my scan and it just looks like I `m having a very big baby. They `re going to keep an eye on me and test for diabetes but other than that everythings looking fine with my little boy. Had a bit of a nightmare yesterday though, as I woke up with a purple finger, because the babys so big I `m started to swell up like a balloon and my wedding ring was completely stuck. I luckily managed to get my engagement ring off, but had to go to A&E and have my wedding ring cut off. I was so upset yesterday but I went into a jewllers today and have sent it off to be repaired, so I `ll have it back soon....its just a shame, I feel so naked without my rings

I've been getting really sharp pains down in the vagina area as well and lost my muscus plug two days ago. Everyone is saying the baby's head is pushing down but as of last week he was breech. Not sure what to think. I have a appointment tomorrow so hopefully I will have a better answer.

AJV - Tuesday, 29 April
They'll have to induce you soon if you don't just go into labor on your own. Wow, big baby (want to share some of that with my son, he's a scrawny little guy).

Keep me updated, I hope all goes well!
Best Wishes!

MommyJewels - Tuesday, 29 April
Well keep me updated:)

lolo88 - Tuesday, 29 April
wow!!!! 42weeks omg, i honestly believe youll have your baby really really soon, if they wait any longer wouldnt u have to get a c-section??? i dunno anything bout pregnancy and all that but usually they have a time period for the baby to come. somtime during 2 weeks b4 the 40th week and then sometime during 2 weeks after the 40th weeks. so basically between 38& 40 weeks.. good luck to u let me know how everything is goin this is very interesting and this is my first baby

mummy2bkimmy - Tuesday, 29 April
Hey chick, About ur post in week 35 i too keep measuring 6-7 weeks ahead whenever they check my FH i had a scan at 32 weeks tho and they said nothing was wrong with my baby. He's big but he's still on the normal side i'm sure ur scan will be fine they just do it routinely to make sure everything's ok. There are a number of reasons why u cud be measuring ahead such as the way the baby is lying, u may have slightly more fluid than normal or he cud just be a big baby. Let me know how it goes though wont u. at 32 weeks my baby was weighing around 5.6lbs. I'm also fully engaged. xx

MommyJewels - Tuesday, 29 April
42 weeks???? Oh wow! That is incredible! Let me know what your doctors say1

starby - Saturday, 19 April
Thanks for your suggestion! That definately sounds like what it is...I will try wrapping my wrists or splinting them up tonight because even though it doesnt hurt super super bad its just kind of a nagging pain, especially in the mornings! Good luck to ya, we're getting awfully close huh!? :)

MommyJewels - Friday, 18 April
Glad you are off work! Don't type too much with the carpal lol. I was online all the time and I couldn't stop.

I have many friends in the UK and was surprised to hear that you guys didn't have showers there. I think that it's crazy the things that we have showers for here. Do you girls have showers before weddings? Baby showers out here are nuts. But, it is nice because people end up buying most of everything you need. Of course ANNOYINGLY everything in the USA is pushing materialism in your face. Our kids are taught that you need everything and it's THINGS THINGS THINGS...constantly. Don't get me wrong, my baby is incredibly spoiled and I am very blessed that so many people got us lovely gifts...but it is very overwhelming. I wish our country wasn't so enthralled with the constant need to have EVERYTHING>

AJV - Friday, 18 April
My NST's have been o.k. I had to the hospital again Thurs night becasue I was having contractions and he wasn't being as active as usual. Once we got there he woke up which is good, but I had to get 2 more shots of terbutaline to stop the contractions. I really wish they would stop. So I had another NST in the office this morning and they were good with the results even though I'm still contracting they let me go home for the weekend. I'll just have to wait until my u/s on Monday to see if he's growing or not.

I'm setting myself little goals hoping to get to 4 lbs in the next 2 weeks if he can gain weight at that rate it will put him around 5lbs by my due date, assuming I make it that far. I'll take 5lbs I'm not greedy. I'll be hppy with him just getting bigger.

MommyJewels - Thursday, 17 April
Thank you! I hope that you have some relief as well. When are you going on leave for your back?

My doctors thought he would come early...but now they haven't a clue in the world lol.

Hope you have a good day. Thanks for your support.

AJV - Thursday, 17 April
Thanks for checking on me. I've been pretty stressed this week. I spent 5 hrs in the hospital on tuesday becasue I was having contractions they had to give me 2 doses or terbutaline to stop them. I'm hoping it was just because I was so upset. I'm still having contractions but not as many. I go back to the doctor on Friday for another nonstress test, maybe I will do better this time. I get another u/s on Monday to see if he has grown at all in the last week. My doctor seems pretty certain that I'll have to have him early, just how early is the question. I'm praying he'll suprise us and fatten up this week.

MommyJewels - Wednesday, 16 April
Oh! I am so sorry to hear how tough things have been for you. You have a great attitude and keep your pretty head up. Have you been to the SPD forum on here? You might try that...the forums have been very supportive to me:) I had carpal tunnel surgery August 2006. I know that is not fun! Hopefully you don't have to type much for work!!!!

Take care of yourself...you are plugging along and getting there!! Not too much longer:)

I'm doing ok. Sick most days...but hanging in there. Trying to keep my precious baby in a little longer:)

MommyJewels - Wednesday, 16 April
How are you doing?

1sttimemommy2be - Wednesday, 16 April
hello! all my friends have kids and they all had really bad strechmarks on thier legs.... and they have gone away for all of them..(from the legs...lol) rememeber most of this will go away after pregnancy!! hope this helps!! have a good one!!!

KarenJ - Tuesday, 15 April
hey, have you tried bio-oil. All my friends have sworn by it. I've been using it and, touch wood, no stretch marks yet. Lots of water apparently helps too.

ladybug2008 - Tuesday, 15 April
yeah, my only fear of pregnancy was getting stretch marks because I knew that I am prone to them. I was doing pretty good until 30 wks...my fear, and my favoirte body part is ruined!! I did my crying, but can't do anything about it right now. There is always laser treatments, or the Mederma cream. I guess I will be wearing tank-inis for a while. I know it blows.!!!

MommyJewels - Sunday, 2 Mar
Glad that they are going to weld it back for you!!! I took mine off yesterday and was so sad without them. I also feel naked. They are too heavy to wear around the neck:(

MommyJewels - Saturday, 1 Mar
I'm so asorry to hear about your ring!!!! My husband was begging me to take mine off last night so they wouldn't get stuck and I refused lol. I just noticed now hard it was to take off and I kept it off. Thanks

mommygann - Thursday, 28 Feb
Hello and thank you for your comment. My Dr. was measuring me with a tape measure when she told me that she thought my uterus was large so she wanted me to get another U/S to see how big the baby is. Even though she made it seem like it was no big deal I was still worried. Probabaly the hormones. But my husband made a good point when he told me that if the Dr. thought is was a big deal she would have scheduled my u/s for sooner than my next 4 week appt.

samlib - Wednesday, 27 Feb
did you go in because of his weight or because you had something else? i was confused..they said it's above average, so i hope she slows down a little!! ha! i was big, my brother was big and so was my husband sooooooooo....we'll see right! well congrats! keep in touch!
