Jacobi James is here!!!!

Jacobi arrived via c-section

on 4/14/08 at 4:29PM

he weighed 4lbs 6oz

and was 16 in long...

...i experianced an ecclamptic seizure and so they thought it was best to take him immediatly.h he swallowed alot of amniotic fluid when he was born and was born coughing and a screamin and when they had cleared his lungs initally was looking great,he was on cpap on 33% oxygen. but by the 2nd xray was showing signs of RDS. so they intubated him and gave him, his first round of surfactant. now we sit and wait. he is absolutly beautiful and i will be posting pics asap!!!

please pray for us we have a long road ahead!!!

He looks really big in this latest picture! I am so exhasted. Saxon wakes up every 2 hours to eat at night. He's my smallest baby so far, and I would guess that's why he has to eat so many times a day... In fact, he's waking up again now. If you have a free minute to look, I finally put up some baby pictures, and in one I have 3 of my kids (the oldest was with his grandparents). Well... I'm off to feed the baby again!

Hey, good but HUGE!!!! I'll bet you are so happy to have Jacobi home! I have been trying the raspberry leaf tea, evening primrose oil, & I was going to have the labor inducing salad I told you about, but I got lazy this weekend, and didn't want to drive an hour to go get it. Plus my husband was hung over yesterday, and it would have been a bad day to go into labor :) But I am just about 2 weeks away from my due date!! I can't wait, within the next 2 weeks I will be holding Colton!!

hi Jamie, thank you for your message! I just found out yesterday and I haven't even had a chance to message everyone to let them know! But I got the blood test back and it's BFP! I'm so excited!! I'm glad to be able to share this news with you since you're one of the first people I 'met' on here! But now I'm really nervous, I keep saying, what if I'm really not pregnant, what if they made a mistake... lol I think the blood test is pretty accurate. I just read your family update and I'm glad everyone is home and doing well! I'll keep you upadated! Take care :) Thanks for your support!!

I managed to get a couple of pictures up. They're just the ones from my phone, and aren't very clear. My husband couldn't figure out how to get the nice ones off of his phone. I do have a few rolls of film though, so when those are developed, I'll put them up. :-) My baby is concidered 'preterm' but not 'premature' since he didn't have any physical problems. So I'm happy. I didn't have enough time to buy his bed and adjust like I would have liked to before he came. We don't even have a vehicle large enough to fit all of our family, so I guess in a few ways it would have be better for him to wait a month.

Congratulations on bringing him home! I went into labor on Friday, the 23rd, and had my son, Saxon, that evening. We just came home from the hospital last night. My husband said that he'd help me put up some pictures of him when we get home from my parents' house tonight. What you mentioned about your dreams made sense. I had a feeling from the beginning that my son would be born on May 28, and he came on May 23rd instead. He doesn't seem to have any problems though. I think my biggest problem right now, is that my milk came in last night, and I still don't have any nursing bras. (They don't have my size at the store, but I have two ordered that should be here within a week.) This is my smallest baby so far, but I'm so happy that he's here, and doesn't have any problems. Jacobi looks absolutely wonderful sitting with his sister. :-) My kids don't want to leave the baby alone, so I'm making them wash their hands several times a day. The 16 month old is much better with Saxon than I thought he'd be. He made me cry this morning. He gave Saxon a kiss and said 'baby brother' with a big smile on his face. :-)

Hey! I hope everything is going well at home for you guys. I am tired of course, but thank God my hubs takes a shift of feedings in the late evening so I can get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. Michael is only fussy for a few minutes here and there, but he decided to pull a nice temper tantrum for me on Thurs night when my hubs was working late. I am slightly anxious when I am alone with him in the evening. He had a weight check at the Dr. on Thursday and was up to 6 lbs 8 oz, so he is growing like a weed! I am happy he is growing so strong and healthy, but part of me wants him to stay my little peanut! Have you started using the swing or the bouncy chair yet? I am afraid to overstimulate him. I don't know when he stops being so premie and can start being treated like a regular newborn.
