I've been a member of this site for three years and I've come and gone mainly because of drama. I am very opinionated but I don't hate nor do I strive to offend anyone. My personal beliefs are that sex and children are for well adjusted married couples, I believe in spanking, I believe that having more than two children is irresponsible and detrimental to the sustainability of our planet, and I use cloth diapers. I don't think that people who do things differently than I do are bad people, but may have different beliefs than I do, or may have been caught up in a situation that was not ideal.
My experiences with raising children include nannying my two small cousins, working in a church daycare for two and a half years, running a church daycare for three years, an undergraduate degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in education and reading, teaching fourth grade, sixth grade, and high school for the public school system, and of course raising my own two year old.
My husband and I tried for a baby in 2008 and after three months we got our BFP. I had my son on Aug 31, 2009. He was induced because my insurance policy would expire on Sep 1 2009, otherwise I would have gladly had a natural birth. It was a choice between having the induction and getting to stay home with my son, or having a natural birth and having to go back to work to pay for it. Staying home with my son was more important to me. I suffered three miscarriages, one in Sep 2010, one in Feb 2011, and another in May 2011. After only one period I conceived yet again and am due in Mar 2012. I am again without maternity coverage so we will be having our baby at home with a midwife.
