Thursday, 31 July MAG04 - I just read your post about your 25 lb. weight loss. I'm so proud of you. I'm also plus size and am worried about my weight and the effects it will have on me and my baby, but I just can't seem to find the willpower to do anything about it. Any words of wisdom? I'm 16 weeks and still way too tired to do anything. Thank goodness we have a pool to keep my kids busy. I don't know what I'd do if I had to actually DO something. divegurl -
Wednesday, 30 July I love the name Sarah Marie. I'm also naming our daughter Sarah. As far as hyphinating the two names---I think that's a great idea! You should definitely do it! Hope you're feeling well otherwise!!

Tuesday, 29 July Heres the work update: Alot of you are asking and it is so I thought I'd give a big update on it. Anyway, I reported to work on Sat and my boss was already there and the lady from human resources came shortly after. I was then called into the office for a meeting and I of course had a copy of the work handbook with me.haha. So, I once again stated my case and why I was refusing to sign the dicipline and h/r broke down the days that my boss was trying to count against me. The 2 Saturdays in June were thrown out by h/r becuase they were preapproved days off and not call offs( my boss tried to say that they were not pre approved) but I told her she better tell the truth because there is documentation to prove that they were( I filled out a personal leave paper 2 weeks in advance), so she admitted to h/r that they were indeed pre approved. That left 3 days in July 2, which were pregnancy related and 1, which was due to babysitter having an emergency. 1 ofm the drs excuse days was also thrown out but I am being held responsible for the (babysitter day). Anyway, h/r told my boss to hold off on the dicipline until I submit the zoo trip excuse, which I did yesterday, so we'll see what happens. I did point out that policy states that FMLA excuses cannot be held against an employee along with the fact that a dicipline cannot be issued unless the excessive absences are 2 consecutive months in a row, which does not apply to me since the June days were thrown out. H/R is supposed to be mailing me FMLA paperwork to fill out if I have any future pregnancy related call offs, which would count against my 12 weeks. Honestly I think they were both floored that I had a copy of the handbook and brought it with me to state my case. I guess I'll see what happens next. I think that evil boss of mine will try to find another way to get me out. I told them that I planned to stay until Oct 1st and my boss made a comment saying If you last that long, which I replied what do you mean by that? She said well... you don't know what can happen with your pergnancy and all. Whatever! That woman is NASTY! I ahve had problems with her ever since she became manager back in Oct. I can't wait to leave that place and never go back! I will soon have my new little boy. I am not going to let that crappy job bring me down. It is what it is. Thank you all for your concerns and I will give another update when I find out whats next.
I hope I didn't ramble again.lol. maggiedee1002 -

Monday, 28 July My husband and I commute together so we are up and leave the same time so that should help in getting the baby ready and out of the house. The daycare we chose is less than a mile from my job so I will go over at lunch time to breastfeed and then just pump throughout the day. That at least cuts the time away from the baby out. Keeping the baby near where we live wasnt ever an option for us, we didnt want to be that far away at any given time because we dont have any family around there in the event of an emergency. This way cuts time away from the baby down to 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the afternoon. It was the best and only situation we could really come up with. newbiemom08 -
Sunday, 27 July If I had to go full term I would have a huge baby as well so its pretty amazing what all the medical technology can do! Thanks good luck to you as well!! mumtojack -
Friday, 25 July Thanks - I'm sure it will be ok - just been feeling really terrible when i've eaten - like a real lull! I carried really big with my first son and he was only 7lb 4oz but seemed much smaller than that - was in preterm clothes for ages. He's still dinky now. SabrinaK -
Thursday, 24 July No problem. I know how you feel about being paranoid about the weirdest things. I was that way when I was pregnant and still am lol.... thing2 -

Thursday, 24 July Hi I read your question about breastfeeding after nipple piercings. I had both done and have successfully breastfed two children. I took them out while I wasa prego with the first but the holes were still open when i breastfed my first and I had no problems. I am now breastfeeding my second and have been 13 weeks and no problems with her either. The holes are closed now. Dont know if this helps or not but I dont think you will have any problems. Good Luck!! starby -
Wednesday, 23 July Hi, I read your question about breastfeeding after nipple piercings...well, I had my left one done about 10 years ago, I took it out about 6 years ago but have a very visible scar and some scar tissue, it was kind of a botch job...anyway, I thought I'd have trouble with that nipple and its actually the one my little one prefers...I pump mostly because she has some latch issues but I get plenty of milk out of it just fine, its actually never been plugged or clogged and my right one has several times. Dont know if that helps since its no logner pierced, but thats my experience anyhow :) banganbaby2 -
Wednesday, 23 July No-no problems. It was 7 years ago, but I don't remember having any difficulties because of it. I don't even remember the nurses that assisted me in the hospital saying anything about it (no comments...perhaps they didn't notice?). banganbaby2 -

Tuesday, 22 July That's too funny about the red headed blue eyed..lol
I really don't care, I did want a girl but I waver back and forth becuase if she turns out anything like me when I was little ...ummm I don't want a girl. And with a boy there would be no surprises..been there done that. : wub
Either way I'm with you ..ten finger ten toes...and a smooth birth would be wonderful. I'm scared to death about my 3rd c section becuase the last one lasted like 2 hours instead of 45 minutes due to all the scar tissue. Now this is number 3 and I had some extra weight on as well. I'm trying not to gain a ton..I told most that I have enough weight on me to feed the baby the entire 9 months..
Keep me updated on how things are...best wishes..Tina
