Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

Lilypie 3rd Birthday Ticker

Tuesday, 11 Dec

I guess this marks my official entry into the second trimester. It's much easier to relax knowing the threat of miscarriage is very low now. I was glad to hear the heartbeat at my last visit. We are looking forward to finding out the sex of the baby on Jan 21st (as long as he/she cooperates of course). I'm looking forward to finishing up my Christmas shopping this week so that I can relax and enjoy the last week before Christmas. It's our last CHristmas with just Matthew and I want to really enjoy it!

Thursday, 10 Jan
I am super excited to have my ultrasound coming up in 2 weeks. If all goes well (meaning that the baby cooperates with us) we will find out what we are having on the 21st of January. I have started buying a few things for the baby (bottles and liners) and once we find out the sex I can start planning for the newborn clothes. We didn `t find out what we were having the first time so I have tons of gender neutral stuff but let `s face it...I `ll have to buy some gender-specific items once I know what we are having!

Monday, 21 Jan
Well I went to my ultrasound today and we found out that it `s a girl!!! Matthew has been saying that he wants a little sister and it looks like he gets his wish. She was super active in the ultrasound. It `s funny because I have been feeling movements since about the 16th week and watching the ultrasound screen I was amazed at what I didn `t feel as she was moving all around! This should be an interesting ride! :) We are very happy.

Thursday, 24 Jan
I found out today that I have to go in for another ultrasound on the 11th of Feb. They were unable to see all the parts of the heart that they like to see...something about her position in the womb...the doctor said it was nothing to be worried about that this sometimes happens. I admit that I was a bit taken aback because I didn `t have to do this with Matthew. Hopefully all will go well. :)

Sunday, 10 Feb
Well - here we are almost 23 weeks along...I have my third ultrasound on Monday. They want to see a few more areas of the heart that they missed the last time. Hopefully all will go well. I `ve been feeling good - a bit tired at the end of the day but other than that I can `t complain. Our next project is re-doing our guest room for our son so that we can move him out of the nursery to make room for his sister. That should keep me bussy for the next few months and then we `ll be in the home stretch! Yay! I started getting excited about her arrival the other day...this should be a fun summer!

Monday, 11 Feb
Well we just got back from the U/S and everything looks great...HR was 148 and she was really active. I asked the technician to re-confirm the sex (I didn `t see the last time so I wanted to make sure) and this time I was able to see for myself that she is really a girl! Bring on the pink and purple clothes folks!!! :)

Friday, 15 Feb
OK - so is it just me or is it too early to be feeling this nesting instinct? I don `t remember it kicking in so early last time...I am having this incredible urge to get our guest room re-done so we can move my son in there and get him settled. Then I `ll be able to get the nursery set up for the new baby. It `s much harder this time because we now have a 2 year old running around while we are trying to do things...We `re planning on taking some days off from work and sending Matthew to school so we can get things done quickly and efficently. Her movements are getting much stronger now so it `s like a reality check that she `s coming whether we are ready or not! LOL! I really wanted to have everything settled by mid-May because I am sure that I `ll be pretty tired by then (never mind the fact that I may go early - a thought that I have been ignoring since Matthew came on his due date)!

Thursday, 28 Feb
My little one is VERY active these days...I wonder if this is a sign of things to come (if so she `ll be in good company with her brother). I am looking forward to starting the process of readying the house for her arrival. I `ve booked my days off in March to start the process and hopefully all will move smoothly! We are planning a trip to NH to visit my sister-in-law at the end of the month and that will be a nice little break for our family from the day-to-day routine (Matty loves to swim). I can `t believe that it `s been about 6 months...time is flying by...it `ll be spring before we know it...hmm...does that mean I need to start shaving regularly again???LOL!

Monday, 10 Mar
Well, 91 days to go...it seems like such a long time. I `m not sure if anyone else out there who is pregnant while raising another child already is feeling the emotional strains that I am. It seems as if there `s no time for yourself. The first time is so easy - you get home from work and all you worry about is yourself. Now - as a mother - you seem to find yourself slipping to last place every day and that `s a bit draining. I am looking forward to getting my energy back after the birth. I `ll feel so much better equipped once I am at 100% again!

Tuesday, 11 Mar
Well, I have made it through 27 weeks and I now finally need to take off my wedding bands and just wear my engagement ring and my `back-up ` gold band that I bought last time (it `s a full ring size larger). At least I made it this far...with my last pregnancy I was out of my rings (all of them) by the 4th month (I tried to be better about my weight gain this time). Hopefully I won `t have too much more swelling!

Thursday, 20 Mar
We made progress on converting our guest room into a big boy room for Matthew. The closet is ready we just need to move out the guest room furniture and get it cleaned and painted. Once that is done we will let him pick out his new bedding and hopefully he will have a smooth transition. We say a lot of cute bookshelves at Target the other day that I want to get for his room as well as a toy storage unit. The goal will be to move as many of his extra toys into his room as possible before his little sister comes along and we get completely consumed with newborn stuff again!

Sunday, 23 Mar
We went to an Easter Egg hunt at the library today and Matthew had a blast looking for the eggs! He did so good picking them out and then waiting in line to see the Easter Bunny. We didn `t get a smile out of him for the picture but at leasthe wasn `t crying LOL! It will be so fun to see him open his basket tomorrow.

Monday, 31 Mar

30 weeks have officially passed...only 10 more to go. She has been so active these days it `s unbelievable! Sometimes it will take me by surprise and I `ll make a little noise and the girl on the other side of my cube wall will ask `Hey - What `s going on over there”

We had a great weekend away. We took my son snow tubing and he had a blast with his Daddy. I took lots of pictures. We also went to a few stores that had talking animatronics animals which were a big hit with him! He was such a good boy (just with a lot of energy). He was very interested in seeing his new cousin Riley (especially once she started crying due to a pretty big BM). Matthew wanted to see her getting her diaper changed and he kept saying `Riley sad” and `Big poop `. It was too funny! LOL! Let `s hope he `s as good with his new sister!

I am definitely feeling the pressure to get him moved to the new room now. 10 weeks will just fly by and I don `t want to be doing everything last minute. People have been giving me outfits and such for the new baby and I keep stacking them in a corner of the room until I get Matthew moved...oh well! All in good time I guess!

Monday, 7 Apr

31 weeks today! YAY! I can't believe that time is flying by so fast. We had a busy weekend getting the last of the clothes out of the guest room. Now I just need to call a local charity to have them pick up the bedroom set and then we can paint the room. I keep telling myself that we have 9 weeks but it seems like she'll be here tomorrow so I am feeling pretty antsy. She's still super active and lately she's been hitting my bladder which makes the bathroom trips all the more frequent! LOL!

Friday, 11 Apr

Well, a local charity came today to pick up our spare bedroom set. Now all we need to do is give the room a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint and then we can move Matthew in! I hope to get this completed by the end of the month...we'll see. All of the new baby stuff is piling up in the house and I need somewhere to start storing it...argh...I think the nesting instinct is starting to kick in! LOL!

cmg08 - Thursday, 10 July
The heat has been horrible and HOT LMAO. I am starting to get tired all the time. This is really starting to suck. How are you and the family? I have to run cause I have a customer. TTYL.

algmiss - Wednesday, 9 July
Believe it or not.... JoNathan is wonderful with babies. He always has been, and he is very knowledgable about them. I used to joke that he knew more about babies than me, prior to Riley. So I think he will be fine with her. I am more worried about Hunter. He always takes his frustrations out on him. We have had a very peaceful home so I can imagine that it might get shook up a bit. I am thinking if he is not that great... at the very least we have 2 1/2 years left of him being with us, till he is 18. I can do ANYTHING when I think of the short term. We had him for almost 5 yrs... and it was tough, but we were able to get him into sports and into therapy, ect. He was pretty good except after a visit to TN.
That is great you got some decent sleep. It makes such a difference feeling rested. Anyway, hope everything is going well... I am leaving work right now for the rest of the day, so I can take Hunter to a doctors appt for his new leg. He is growing like a weed!!!!

algmiss - Wednesday, 9 July
I also have infamil ones too! I switched over to similac but we stocked up on them, and the coupons expire after a few months. I keep on getting them in the mail. I will try to remind myself to send them out.
Riley slept last night!!!!! I didn't nap, I never do... just can't seem to make myself do it even if I am wiped. JoNathan comes in today... we are scared... I don't know if you caught it... but he decided to come back and live with us again. So today is the day I hope he treats us ok... I mean as good as any angry teen could
Hope your having a great day!

algmiss - Tuesday, 8 July
That reminds me that I have a bunch of $5 similac coupons that I said I would give to you if you still need them. However, I noticed they have my name on them and they look like checks. Do you think someone else can use them... I would think a sale is a sale and they wouldn't mind someone else using them. Anyway, I don't think anyone actually checked the name. I am probably not going to use them and they expire the end of august I think?

I am still so tired and hope to take a nap when I get home today. Went home for lunch and Jay was trying to uphold the routine today. She was awake, ready to feed and then off to a 1 hour nap. I am going to cross my fingers that she fall back into the same routine that was so predictable. I also realized that yesterday Jay spent the day watching TV in the VERY dark cellar cause it was so hot yesterday and its cool down there and Riley probably associated dark with night time, so she slept all day. Needless to say, I told Jay to leave the lights on when he goes down there today, so she knows its not nighttime. I am not sure if that really was what did it... but she can not sleep all day again or mommy is going to be INSANE!!!!
I am going to start the sitter anyway in two weeks or so. Jay isn't going to be available all that much to watch her anyway, so its a good time to start it. That is so cool about the puppets and puppet making. I would never be that creative either...

Hope your having a great day

algmiss - Tuesday, 8 July
How are you this morning? sounds like you and Alyssa are getting into a good groove where you are getting to take care of yourself and have a little time for yourself. Its so hard sometimes. I am still having a hard time these days transitioning to the work place and taking care of baby and myself and the rest of the house too. Last night she was in RARE form. She was UP all night. Jay let her sleep all day yesterday, in his arms, and hense she was UP hyper all last night. She thought it was PLAYTIME at 2am.
I was pretty upset last night and this morning, since this is a work day for me.
I made Jay get up with her since he caused her to be out of her schedule. He brought her back to the room at 4am... and then she fed, again was hyper and fed again at 6am. I was SOOOOO TIRED and TICKED OFF!!! She is like clockwork too at night. so this was out of the ordinary for her.. he is home with her again today, and he will be up with her again tonight if she doesn't sleep. He assured me today he would stick to the schedule. It just made my day stink! I am so tired I have a hard time focusing on work. I might need to have a full time sitter starting sooner than later if this continues.
I miss being home and taking care of Riley.

I can not believe that I am in my third trimester. I can not wait to see my little man. I am wicked excited for the shower. I feel kind of bad though considering it is my second baby but, whatever. How is Matthew and Alyssa? I have to run hon I will TTYL..

algmiss - Monday, 7 July
You still have so much time. Also if you are going to start boosting your supply it will FALL OFF! I swear its my motivation for continuing to BF!

algmiss - Monday, 7 July
When I need to boost my supply, I feed her on one side only and pump on the other right after. I then pump the side she fed on too and get out the last few bits. I do this every feed and then I even do this in the middle of the night, cause I am up anyway and only takes 20 extra minutes. But after you get your milk going you got to be careful and keep pumping and tapper off pumping after a bit. I get like the dairy queen after a few days of this routine. I just took a pumping vacation... and need to start boosting my supply again... Every few weeks I do this and get it going again, especially when I feel like its getting low.
Jay and hunter are going to the shower too. We also are going to Camp Sunshine right after the shower is over. We might have to leave a little bit before cause we will have to check in, and I don't know how late they staff the front desk.

Riley did so well in the car this time... only one melt down for about 20 minutes. I feel the pain of the two kids not being happy thing too, Hunter has a real hard time with it in the car too and gets MAD!

I bet she will enjoy the bath!!! Have fun and take a few pictures.

algmiss - Monday, 7 July
Hey... how is Alyssa doing today? It was so great to see you guys this past week. I will be back again on the 27th and then again the following month on the 10th for Alyssa's christening. Its great I will get to see how she changes every few weeks. We just got home from the Cape last night. It was relaxing.... or as relaxing as it can be with a small baby and a bored little boy. LOL Riley had her first swim in a pool and LOVED it! She did not like the beach at all. It was simply too windy and her tent was having trouble staying up. Oh well... I bet she will be fine at a calm lake some where for now. She does like the outside a lot. Hope all is well, talk to you soon!

cmg08 - Tuesday, 1 July
We got some of Luca's room done but it was too humid so we will finish sometime this week or this weekend. I hope it is sooner than later. When I called you I was having a very emotional day . I made the slideshow that is on here and lost it. I guess it comes with the territory. LOL. I guess I will let you go. Will we see you tonight at Chuck and Karen's? If so I will see you later MUAH!!!

cmg08 - Sunday, 29 June
Thank you It is now done. It was a very emotional thing to do. I was in tears because time just has gone by so fast and the song really works with the slideshow. I called to talk to you like 20 minutes after you posted the message but you were taking a nap. Hope you are all doing good. TTYL

algmiss - Sunday, 29 June
What a great big brother!!! He'll be a pro before you know it! Hunter is so in love with Riley its crazy!!!

cmg08 - Saturday, 28 June
What a cutie pie big brother!!!

cmg08 - Saturday, 28 June
They look so cute together!!! Awwwwww!!!

algmiss - Friday, 27 June
We are coming on Monday night late... but dinner on Tuesday after we get back from our Children's appointment and Off to the Cape on the 2nd early in the am. Sorry about that. I get so confused. Today, Riley has CRIED AND CRIED AND CRIED!!! We had to spend a lot of time in the car... not so much fun at all. She has finally nodded off for a well needed nap. I will see you soon.

cmg08 - Friday, 27 June
I wish it was smaller. But i guess it just means that I am closer. It was great to see you guys too. We should try to get together more often. That would be cool. I had a weird dream last night. It freaked me out and Luca kicked me as to say that he was fine and everything was all right so that was a relief. Alyssa is so cute. Mike loved to be able to hold her and stuff. He is now so excited to have ours so that he can hold a baby all the time again. LOL I have to run. Thank you for dinner last night and we will talk to you guys soon.

cmg08 - Thursday, 26 June
We are shooting to be there by 6:30. I am coming straight from work. Mike will meet me there. See you tonight.

algmiss - Thursday, 26 June
OMG I love that sweet clean smell, and all the snuggling. I didn't even know I was capable of feeling that way. I love her sleepy morning snuggles too. I hate thinking that she will someday outgrow these times too. Lego Camp is when they make all sorts of powered vehicles and mechanical buildings and stuff like that. They have a competition and see which team wins. Sort of like a science project in a way. Its something new he is trying. He didn't have any plans for the rest of June, and July is filled wtih Cape Cod, summer reading camp, a 3 day baseball Camp and Camp Sunshine and JoNathan is coming for 2 weeks too I am gonna try and see if he can go to a Camp in Hopkinton this August too. I am sure he will fill in the time with friends and the park camp down the road. Plus he is getting a new leg this summer so we are so busy with appointments for that, his braces, his normal renal doctor appointments, and the dentist. Its hard to keep it all straight.
Anyway, hope we will be able to see you guys on Monday! See you soon!

cmg08 - Thursday, 26 June
He can eat anything in moderation. So whatever you guys would like is fine with us. I only have a few more months to be able to go to bed early so I am going to enjoy it. LOL I can not wait to see you guys. See you tonight. Mike is excited.

I have also put a couple of new pics up like the one for Taylor and a couple of me. I will try to put my latest scans up soon. That takes a little more work having to scan them in and all. I will TTYL

cmg08 - Thursday, 26 June
We will do that tomorrow night. Let us know what you guys want to do for dinner or we can figure it out when we get there. I am going to bed night.

algmiss - Thursday, 26 June
That sounds like Alyssa has a similar pattern to when Riley was a newborn. It seemed to me that Riley slipped into a routine, rather me imposing one on her. She liked to stay up later, and it is also her awake time then... She still stays up later than I would like, but its been slowly getting earlier and earlier and its like 930-10pm now. Sounds like you guys are getting a good system down with Matthew and Alyssa. Today, tomorrow and Friday Hunter is in Lego camp so I am driving a lot, since its not in town. I have a ton to do before we leave on Tuesday. I can't wait to go away to the Cape. Hope to see you guys then. We will be done and back to mom and dad's around 2pm on the 1st. Maybe we can have a family dinner or something at moms if you are up to it. Have you been getting out yet or is it too soon? If not we will come to YOU

cmg08 - Wednesday, 25 June
The doctor said that it was fine. I got the results of the glucose test last night and everything is great except my Iron levels are a little too low. Not too bad but they want me to take iron now. I have to go to the store and pick some up. I can not believe that it is going by so fast. I can not wait to introduce the three little ones. It will be so great.

Mike and I will try to make it on Thursday. I do not think that we have any plans. Do you guys need anything? What time would work for you guys? Let me know and I will tell him. I will TTYL hon. Hope all is well. Have a good day.

cmg08 - Tuesday, 24 June
My appointment went well. The drink made me get a very big headache. I will find out the results probably tomorrow on the glucose test. The baby's heart rate was 144 to 150 BPM. Everything is good. He has been so much more active the past few days.

How is Matty and Alyssa? Have you been home with both of them or has Matty been going to school while Charlie is working? How are you feeling? I am at the point now where I can not wait for this to be over and done so that I can see the little man that has been beating me up since March. I felt him move for the first time when I held Riley. Now he does not like mommy holding any other babies. I think it is funny. Well I have to run I hope you feel well. TTYL.

PS When would be a good time for you for Mike to come and see Alyssa? He has been so busy with both of his jabs and walikng at night to lose weight. Let me know what you think.
