Lilypie 1st Birthday Ticker

Lilypie 3rd Birthday Ticker

Tuesday, 11 Dec

I guess this marks my official entry into the second trimester. It's much easier to relax knowing the threat of miscarriage is very low now. I was glad to hear the heartbeat at my last visit. We are looking forward to finding out the sex of the baby on Jan 21st (as long as he/she cooperates of course). I'm looking forward to finishing up my Christmas shopping this week so that I can relax and enjoy the last week before Christmas. It's our last CHristmas with just Matthew and I want to really enjoy it!

Thursday, 10 Jan
I am super excited to have my ultrasound coming up in 2 weeks. If all goes well (meaning that the baby cooperates with us) we will find out what we are having on the 21st of January. I have started buying a few things for the baby (bottles and liners) and once we find out the sex I can start planning for the newborn clothes. We didn `t find out what we were having the first time so I have tons of gender neutral stuff but let `s face it...I `ll have to buy some gender-specific items once I know what we are having!

Monday, 21 Jan
Well I went to my ultrasound today and we found out that it `s a girl!!! Matthew has been saying that he wants a little sister and it looks like he gets his wish. She was super active in the ultrasound. It `s funny because I have been feeling movements since about the 16th week and watching the ultrasound screen I was amazed at what I didn `t feel as she was moving all around! This should be an interesting ride! :) We are very happy.

Thursday, 24 Jan
I found out today that I have to go in for another ultrasound on the 11th of Feb. They were unable to see all the parts of the heart that they like to see...something about her position in the womb...the doctor said it was nothing to be worried about that this sometimes happens. I admit that I was a bit taken aback because I didn `t have to do this with Matthew. Hopefully all will go well. :)

Sunday, 10 Feb
Well - here we are almost 23 weeks along...I have my third ultrasound on Monday. They want to see a few more areas of the heart that they missed the last time. Hopefully all will go well. I `ve been feeling good - a bit tired at the end of the day but other than that I can `t complain. Our next project is re-doing our guest room for our son so that we can move him out of the nursery to make room for his sister. That should keep me bussy for the next few months and then we `ll be in the home stretch! Yay! I started getting excited about her arrival the other day...this should be a fun summer!

Monday, 11 Feb
Well we just got back from the U/S and everything looks great...HR was 148 and she was really active. I asked the technician to re-confirm the sex (I didn `t see the last time so I wanted to make sure) and this time I was able to see for myself that she is really a girl! Bring on the pink and purple clothes folks!!! :)

Friday, 15 Feb
OK - so is it just me or is it too early to be feeling this nesting instinct? I don `t remember it kicking in so early last time...I am having this incredible urge to get our guest room re-done so we can move my son in there and get him settled. Then I `ll be able to get the nursery set up for the new baby. It `s much harder this time because we now have a 2 year old running around while we are trying to do things...We `re planning on taking some days off from work and sending Matthew to school so we can get things done quickly and efficently. Her movements are getting much stronger now so it `s like a reality check that she `s coming whether we are ready or not! LOL! I really wanted to have everything settled by mid-May because I am sure that I `ll be pretty tired by then (never mind the fact that I may go early - a thought that I have been ignoring since Matthew came on his due date)!

Thursday, 28 Feb
My little one is VERY active these days...I wonder if this is a sign of things to come (if so she `ll be in good company with her brother). I am looking forward to starting the process of readying the house for her arrival. I `ve booked my days off in March to start the process and hopefully all will move smoothly! We are planning a trip to NH to visit my sister-in-law at the end of the month and that will be a nice little break for our family from the day-to-day routine (Matty loves to swim). I can `t believe that it `s been about 6 months...time is flying by...it `ll be spring before we know it...hmm...does that mean I need to start shaving regularly again???LOL!

Monday, 10 Mar
Well, 91 days to go...it seems like such a long time. I `m not sure if anyone else out there who is pregnant while raising another child already is feeling the emotional strains that I am. It seems as if there `s no time for yourself. The first time is so easy - you get home from work and all you worry about is yourself. Now - as a mother - you seem to find yourself slipping to last place every day and that `s a bit draining. I am looking forward to getting my energy back after the birth. I `ll feel so much better equipped once I am at 100% again!

Tuesday, 11 Mar
Well, I have made it through 27 weeks and I now finally need to take off my wedding bands and just wear my engagement ring and my `back-up ` gold band that I bought last time (it `s a full ring size larger). At least I made it this far...with my last pregnancy I was out of my rings (all of them) by the 4th month (I tried to be better about my weight gain this time). Hopefully I won `t have too much more swelling!

Thursday, 20 Mar
We made progress on converting our guest room into a big boy room for Matthew. The closet is ready we just need to move out the guest room furniture and get it cleaned and painted. Once that is done we will let him pick out his new bedding and hopefully he will have a smooth transition. We say a lot of cute bookshelves at Target the other day that I want to get for his room as well as a toy storage unit. The goal will be to move as many of his extra toys into his room as possible before his little sister comes along and we get completely consumed with newborn stuff again!

Sunday, 23 Mar
We went to an Easter Egg hunt at the library today and Matthew had a blast looking for the eggs! He did so good picking them out and then waiting in line to see the Easter Bunny. We didn `t get a smile out of him for the picture but at leasthe wasn `t crying LOL! It will be so fun to see him open his basket tomorrow.

Monday, 31 Mar

30 weeks have officially passed...only 10 more to go. She has been so active these days it `s unbelievable! Sometimes it will take me by surprise and I `ll make a little noise and the girl on the other side of my cube wall will ask `Hey - What `s going on over there”

We had a great weekend away. We took my son snow tubing and he had a blast with his Daddy. I took lots of pictures. We also went to a few stores that had talking animatronics animals which were a big hit with him! He was such a good boy (just with a lot of energy). He was very interested in seeing his new cousin Riley (especially once she started crying due to a pretty big BM). Matthew wanted to see her getting her diaper changed and he kept saying `Riley sad” and `Big poop `. It was too funny! LOL! Let `s hope he `s as good with his new sister!

I am definitely feeling the pressure to get him moved to the new room now. 10 weeks will just fly by and I don `t want to be doing everything last minute. People have been giving me outfits and such for the new baby and I keep stacking them in a corner of the room until I get Matthew moved...oh well! All in good time I guess!

Monday, 7 Apr

31 weeks today! YAY! I can't believe that time is flying by so fast. We had a busy weekend getting the last of the clothes out of the guest room. Now I just need to call a local charity to have them pick up the bedroom set and then we can paint the room. I keep telling myself that we have 9 weeks but it seems like she'll be here tomorrow so I am feeling pretty antsy. She's still super active and lately she's been hitting my bladder which makes the bathroom trips all the more frequent! LOL!

Friday, 11 Apr

Well, a local charity came today to pick up our spare bedroom set. Now all we need to do is give the room a good cleaning and a fresh coat of paint and then we can move Matthew in! I hope to get this completed by the end of the month...we'll see. All of the new baby stuff is piling up in the house and I need somewhere to start storing it...argh...I think the nesting instinct is starting to kick in! LOL!

I love those moments! Riley does that first thing as she wakes up... she is so smiley every morning! She has been SO BUSY lately. She is going to be VERY ACTIVE I can tell. I don't know whether or not to be happy or frightened by how active she is and is going to be.
I love the baby talk... now Riley is talking to everything like her toys, her blanket, her hands, sometimes my hands.. I think she is trying to tell them WHAT TO DO!!! and everything goes in the mouth and drool everywhere due to the new teeth. This is all so much fun!!!! I had no idea it would be... but I am happy that it is.

algmiss - Wednesday, 6 August
I think everything should be all set by Saturday for us to come. She is just really snotty today but otherwise pretty happy. I am pretty much done with my little head cold too. She has her 4 month appointment tomorrow and hope it goes well. She has almost doubled her weight and the real problem will be trying to get my doctor to allow me to rent the breast pump for a few more months. Its going so well... I just don't want to stop giving her my milk just yet. I am hoping to make it to the 6 or 7 month mark.... but we will see. She is getting TEETH Anyway, the picture are great! Matthew on his tricycle is too cute he doesn't look like a toddler anymore and Alyssa is growing by leaps and bounds every time I see her. Kids grow entirely too fast!!!!
TTYL

algmiss - Wednesday, 6 August
Oh my... she is beautiful!!! Is that a small smile I see? So quickly!!!!

cmg08 - Wednesday, 6 August
I was not able to make it there last night. We are going to go tonight to check it out. I will keep you posted on what is up with that. I will try to look at your FB page. I have to run though because I am going to go to lunch. TTYL

algmiss - Wednesday, 6 August
Riley now has a head cold... I am really hoping that its gone by the weekend so I can come. Mine is just about cleared up so I am hoping hers will too. It seems to be just her nose congestion. We have an appointment tomorrow for her 4 month check up so the doc will have a looksee. How is Alyssa and Matthew doing today? I heard my brother is going away for like a week... you gonna manage ok? Mom and dad said they would help out if you needed someone to bring Matthew to daycare on some days. Anyway, hope all is well and things have shaped up unstressfully for the christening... It will be only me and Riley that are coming FYI. I figure I could use a break and I might just get one if its just us. I might even bring some scrapbooking stuff and get a few pages done. I am at work today... Jay took the day off to stay with Riley. I just have to work a few hours today but I wanted to make my hours this week and he gets sick dependent paid days so it made sense.
Have a good day! TTYL

cmg08 - Tuesday, 5 August
Thank you for the tip. I think that we will go to Target tonight to see if they are still available. I have been having a huge issue with nylons today. They keep getting runs in them. It is really starting to aggrevate me. The baptism is on sunday right? I have to work on Saturday so that is why I am asking. I will let you know. TTYL Hope all is well. Do need me to get anything for the baptism? Let me know if you do. TTYL.

algmiss - Monday, 4 August
So last night she sleep from 830pm-400am and then till about 7am after that. I can't catch a break though... I am sick with a head cold that kept me up again. I hope she doesn't get it. That would be good if Alyssa can sleep through the night by the time you go back... it feels overwhelming to me that Riley is not sleeping through... but its better now that she is asleep in her bed. Also... MY HAIR IS SHEDDING! There is so much of it :( Anyway, glad you had a great time at the shower... YUMMY FOOD! Do you have all the arraingments done for the Christening? Do you need anything? Anyway, it will be nice to come down and enjoy the day Last time if felt so rushed having to leave for Camp right after. I am still not sure about who all is coming with me... Jay is suppose to work.. and if he is working days I might just leave the boys at home. We will be talking about it soon as we have company/ Jay's ex mother inlaw/ I hate to call her that cause she is so nice... she is staying for a few days.
Have a great day!

cmg08 - Sunday, 3 August
The bank did get robbed and I was glad I was not there. Everyone was a little shaken up but everyone is fine. How is your knee?? I am glad it was nothing serious. It would be difficult if it was. How is Matthew and Alyssa doing? We are doing fine here. I just feel HUGE. I have 7 weeks 5 days to go. I can not wait to see my little man. The nursery is not finished yet but I have to go out in the next couple of weeks and get a couple more things for it. Then I will have them come in and put the rug in for me then we should be all set. I hope you had a good weekend. I will TTYL.

algmiss - Sunday, 3 August
We put Riley in her bed last night and I would have had a good night sleep had Jay not go get her at 530 am when she was moving around/ stirring. He didn't know I had been up with her at 330 feeding her already... so he thought he was doing me a favor and got her so I could feed her. So I didn't sleep past that... but it was a start anyway as she was stirring the entire morning. I did amazingly get 5 hours straight of no distractions.. well not exactly.. Jay's cell went off at about midnight with a drunk who made a wrong number. Anyway hope tonight is better. Glad the knee is feeling better. Have fun tomorrow at your cousins bridal shower!!!! That should be a nice time. Enjoy!

algmiss - Friday, 1 August
Oh that stinks! I guess maybe you can stay off it more at home... maybe? We just got home today and it was nice... but Riley was up a lot last night so I am still dead tired. Its also nice to be home. Overall she did amazing in the nursery and it reassured me for when she will be at daycare all day. She was so happy, never even cared that much that I left, and was so good for them. I went a few times a day to nurse and it went smoothly. Both boys also had a blast and can't wait till next year. Anyway, hope the knee gets better soon! I wonder how you did that? I have to say I was more sore after the baby in places due to the sudden shift of weight. I needed to see the chiro a few times right after.
Anyway, got to go make some dinner! The troops are getting restless!

cmg08 - Thursday, 31 July
Let me know how everything goes with the doctor Good Luck hon TTTYL.

cmg08 - Wednesday, 30 July
What are you apoligizing for??? We live right down the street LOL. He will not be here for at least another 8 weeks or so. The doctor does not forsee me going early at all. LOL. We still have time do not rush it. Thank you for them in advance though. I really appreciate it hon. Is your appointment your 8 week check up for after the baby???

cmg08 - Wednesday, 30 July
Thank you. there is norush on the clothes. I appreciate everything that you have already done for us. I believe that I can get the stuff from Babies r Us now I am not sure. I have to read it. I can not believe how fast the time is going now. I want it to be over so that I can rest one night without being kicked poked or prodded. LMAO. How are you doing?

algmiss - Tuesday, 29 July
Riley is not a good napper in the day either.. but she will sleep pretty good at night. So I will take that! Maybe sometime when I come down we can get together and scrapbook a few pages while our men have a few beers and take care of the little ones I was happy I did those 15 pages before Riley came while on bedrest... but I am not close to being caught up to her birth. I have at least 7-10 events that come to mind that I MUST do before I get to her stuff. ~MOTIVATION~ I don't like going back and doing things... I just like to keep the order of stuff.
Anyway, I wanted to bring some stuff to camp but we didn't have a lot of space for anything more. Oh well.
TTYL

cmg08 - Tuesday, 29 July
Mike and I are going out tonight and looking around for a few more things and then we need to get the rug torn up and put in then we should be all right to go. I can not wait to have this little man. I want 1 night of sleep with no heartburn or rib kicking or even to have to get up an use the bathroom 300 times. That is all I want. Only 8 weeks 3 days or 59 days to go. I like the look of the 59 days better. LMAO. How are you guys doing? Thank you for coming on Sunday and for your gift. We really appreciat it so much. I need to buy some more clothes for him so we will definitly be all set. I received a lot of onesies so I need a few more outfits for the munchkin. I will TTYL Hope all is well with you all.

algmiss - Tuesday, 29 July
I have the opposite problem where its hard time getting Riley to nap at all in her bouncy seat. She has NEVER napped which is a bummer. In fact we are still at the stage where she won't really fall asleep without being held first. I have just resigned myself to that fact and work with it. Although I can put her down somewhere the second she is out. I don't even know where my maternity leave went but I barely remember the days... they were so busy it seemed. I had constant company the first 5 weeks, where we had 30 plus visitors. Oh well... I did enjoy every bit of the time I had with Riley. That is crazy that Matthew is going to preschool!!!! Where has the time gone! I keep blinking and big chunks of time have just simply disappeared it seems. I take so many pictures just to make sure I don't miss a thing... now finding the time to scrapbook them all will be a challege.
We are having a good time at Camp, weather has been great! TTYL

algmiss - Friday, 25 July
Oh I definitely get irritated because it does feel like its taken advantage that I am nursing, and therefore all child issues in the middle of the night are mine. his point of view is... "I can't feed her so why bother worrying about how you feel all the time... your always tired and I can't fix it." Of course I have my panties in a wad when I get tired... so I think.. "I don't give a crap whether or not he can feed the child... he better just appreciate it and SUFFER WITH ME!!!!" LOL I too stay up for the late feed...and now I am just staying up so I can have some personal time... and then pump
Sometimes I get so tired... my eyes water all day long. I hope you have a great time at the concert... and yes I would probably take advantage of the sleep in the car too. I could appreciate a small window of time like that to sleep. Such a hot comodity these days!!! We new mommy's are appreciative of the scraps of time we get when we see small opportunities.... and our men just squander away sleep time like its overabundant. The inequity of it all I totally get it!
I will see you Sunday!

algmiss - Friday, 25 July
I am hoping that it will be a nice respite to go to Camp. They have a nursery where they have a 1:1 ratio and I will in the same building and will be going over to feed and stuff every few hours. But she will be well taken care of. So I hope it will give me a bit of down time. I bought a cute little shirt to wear with some capris and some black shoes for the shower. I have been shopping and shopping today with the kids today. Riley was great in the car both ways!!!! YAH!!!! A girl friend asked me to go out with her next weekend so I think I will take her up on it!!I really need something! Anyway, glad you had a great time. Did you go out to eat? I have gotten really used to eating on the fly... It must be harder for you with two little people to get a decent meal. I could really appreciate eating a nice meal with no kids. That would be nice!!!
See you on Sunday!!!!

algmiss - Wednesday, 23 July
I will gather up our stuff for the weekend. Its way better to get as much use as we can out of everything because in this economy things are going to get tough... for everyone. I can't believe she weighs 10 1/2 lbs!!!!I don't know what Riley weighs in at these days. I am thinking somewhere around 13 or 14 lbs. maybe?
I can't wait to see her!!! That is so good about her sleeping in her room. I'm sure it will be fine for Riley when it comes time... but I don't know about her mom LOL!
I hope you enjoy your evening!!!! I SOOOO need one of those nights!!!! When Jay and I go to Camp next week they have a parent date night where they take all the kids for the evening... until 10pm. They serve a nice dinner and have entertainment set up. I can't wait!!! Riley will just be down the hall in the nursery, and Hunter and Joe will be on a overnight! Riley so going to sleep good tonight... she has barely slept all day!! YAH!
TTYL

cmg08 - Wednesday, 23 July
Thank you for thinking of us with the diapers. I am sure that they will be used. WOW Alyssa is gaining good huh? She is only like 1 month and 1 week right. That is great. I bet she is still a peanut though. I can not wait to see her again this weekend.

As for the pic I feel like a whale. LMAO. I still have 2 more months before I can hopefully fit into a normal pair of jeans. Hopefully I will lose it fast. TTYL

algmiss - Wednesday, 23 July
I meant to also ask you if you had a few sample size formula cans if she doesn't like the one you give her. We had to change a few times so far. First I did Infamil with iron, (too constipated) than I did the infamil gentleese (they don't carry the large cans of this at BJ's), and then we switched to the similac gentle (doc says this is the same as gentleese) and that is the one we will stick to when we use formula again. I have some can's of a few different kinds, if you need to try a few. I hadn't opened those at all. Let me know... you probably got the same ones at the hospital but I am just checking.

algmiss - Wednesday, 23 July
Oh I could go on and on! I hear you on how our husbands have it so easy and we are sleep deprived!!!! Unless I am saying "can you do XYZ" its left up to me to decide. And then I am called a control freak!!!! I do know my baby the best... so its hard not to do what you know will help her, while I see Jay fumble his way through it VERY SLOWLY. Last night she was fussing cause I think she is teething and Jay said "could YOU DO something like feed her so we can sleep?" She wasn't hungry since I just fed her, so I used some oralgel on her and she was crying even HARDER! So I said "I will leave the room so YOU CAN SLEEP!" Like I have had more than 12 full hours of sleep in the past 3 days! Although to his credit he worked a 15 hour detail yesterday on his day off.... so he was tired too. She only got up 2 times last night after I got her to sleep... So Jay said "thanks" this morning and made a pass at me... and I said "honey I don't usually give it up when I am THIS tired!" I use the mini pill (but mostly abstinance LOL!!!!!.)right now while breastfeeding. I would like a more perminant form or BC when I stop BFing... and I made the doctors appt for Sept to look into it again. I know a lot of ladies that use both formula and breast milk. We did here for a while when I thought I wasn't producing enough. She took to it fine...for a while and then a few weeks later when I got my production back up I stopped using it. I wouldn't hesitate to start her on formula and keep nursing if you want at the same time for as long as you like. She will be fine with it as long as she gets a taste of it everyday. Although I think I started using bottles with my own milk first and she could get used to the bottle first and then the formula. It all worked well until Riley went on a bottle strike!!! What ever works for you and Alyssa. Every mommy and baby team are different. I think I have kept nursing cause I have my head in the sand about stopping. Maybe I do about her sleeping in her own room too. LOL I just don't want this baby thing to end and its sad to think of NOT nursing and NOT having them in our rooms. Even if our lives might be easier in both regards. I agreed that after we get back from Camp we will use her crib. I have started to put her down for naps in there so she can get used to it. Oh on another note... I found some left over diapers size 1... but they seem to be larger than the average one made by parent choice that I will be sending your way. Riley is almost out of some of her 0-3's... I know you probably have what you need, but if you need any cute outfits, I do have a few that you would like that will be good. I also have footed pajama's too that are super cute. So if you want some let me know. Hope you have a great day!

cmg08 - Wednesday, 23 July
Hey there! How are you doing? I am good. My appointment was actually for next week on Tuesday and the receptionist wrote down the wrong date. I was very mad. But what can you do? I have posted a few more belly pics on my site. I am getting HUGE (or so it feels) LMAO. I just was stopping in to say HI. I will TTYL.

algmiss - Tuesday, 22 July
I am going on two sleepless nights in a row... I just don't know how much more I can take It just stinks cause its always on my days at work. Jay lets her sleep as long as he can get her to sleep on his days off, and I PAY FOR IT all night!!! The sitter has her today, and I told her to give her just one or two more naps if she seems like she needs it, but to keep them short. I am totally USELESS at work when I feel this way. And its only on my days at work... so it tells me something about what happens at home when I am not home. I know these time don't last forever, but geesh... I am so tired and it makes everything seem so hard. Jay wants to move Riley into her room... and I told him that NOT UNTIL SHE IS MORE CONSISTANT in her sleeping! Cause then my job will be harder, cause I will have to leave my room and take care of her somewhere else... when its been easy to get her settled quickly in our room. I don't want Hunter waking up either with crying so its just easier. I am not making it any easier for him to sleep if he can't keep her damn schedule when I am not there... Its just not going to happen. NOWAY! He can suffer along side me! I am too funny!!
