Hey! My name is Megan and I am 22 years old. I live with my wonderful fiance and son Kane in Sunny Arizona. Kane was born Dec 21, 2007 (2 days before his due date) weighing in at 7lbs 11oz and 22inches long! He is the best thing that could have ever happened to Chuck and I and we love him with ALL of our hearts. I love this site and chatting with other mommies. You are all the best! Hey Megan, hows it all going.. havnt got online in ages now that i am said i'd just say hi! Is Kane settled any bit? I used to have nicholas right beside me in bed too so i wouldnt mind it whatsoever, its great security too and knowing they are right beside you is great. And anyway they are only small for a very short time so its not forever, even though nicholas is 9 now he still loves to come and cuddle. Hope everything else is going well. Grace is doing real good we went to the alps for a two days and she has changed so much in two days doing lots more new things! Chat to you soon honey x

Hey! I read your post about your son not sleeping in his crib well and actually came here today because I am having the same problem (mine is 6 1/2 months old now). He was very easy to just put down and just go to sleep by himself at night and naptime but now he just won't stay in there. After listening to him cry for 30 minutes, I go pick him up, which I am sure only adds to the problem but it is so frustrating to hear them cry for that long! I am going out of my mind! We just moved to another state, which could be yet another part of the problem but I need some advice on how to handle this! Please let me know if you get any useful advice as I could use it too! Thanks!

What part of Cali? I grew up out there. Anyways, I don't work now, I got laid off at 6 months pregnant. I worked with at risk youth doing drug prevention in S. Phx. Now I am finishing my master's degree and I'm about to work part time at my internship site, but with no pay, arrrgghhh! Do you work? It's been so nice having this quality time with my little one.

hey girlie... how ya doin?... naw we havent had any luck yet.. but weve got a couple people helpin us.. sooo hopefully soon!.. its out there we just havent found it yet.. we found out we have some problems with our credit thats keepin us from goin thru a big real estate company.. oh well huh.. well find what we need

i hear ya on not wantin to move more than you have to.. weve been down that road a couple times and its such a pain.. esp. with the heat... thats so cool you and your mom are really close.. my mama is my best friend too.. we share everything.. i love the fact were so close.. soooo co-sleeping is when baby sleeps in bed with you.. weve been doing it from the beginning... we actually had to upgrade from a queen to a king so we all could have room to stretch out but its so worth it.. i love havin my baby girl right next to me thru the night... what we did was push the bed all the way against the wall.. and we rolled some sheets to make a bumper (they also make mesh guard rails you can buy at wally world).. we put the bumper against the wall so she doesnt fall in the crack.. and i sleep in the middle cuz mommies have more instinct when it comes to where baby is.. but it really works great for us.. we tried to put her in her bassinet at first but she wanted nothin to do with that.. and i really couldnt blame her.. it seemed so cold and far away Lol plus i liked bein able to check on her without havin to get outta bed.. anyways you could always try havin him in bed with you see how you like it.. i really dont care what others opinions on it may be.. its what works best for us.. and theres so many that do it but wont admit it.. i dunno girlie you just gotta do what youre comfortable with regardless of what others think or say.. as far as the crawling.. omg shes gotten soooo flippin fast.. it still suprises me to see her go! Lol.. my lil angel baby.. anyways.. i gotta get dinner started.. have fun with the packin

Hey Megan, just read your post.. its a hard one isnt it. With Nicholas i did the exact same thing. Once i brought him into the bed it was very hard to change it. With Grace however i would give her a feed later in the evening and make sure she wont wake up hungry and snug her into her cot at around 10 she sleeps straight to 8 in the morning. I dont know if it would work but its worth a try i guess. Does he nap during the day in the cot? I have a little music sheep as well for grace and it works a treat she presses the front of it and it puts her back to sleep again if she wakes. Good luck hope it will work somehow you must be exhausted.

Thanks for the picture comments, I actually moved here to AZ 3 years ago. I met my husband in Cancun and I was living in Cali so I moved here when we got married. I love it here but I miss the beach, not enough to want to move back though!

thx.. i am starting to feel better... ive only had one in the past and it cleared up on its own.. but with baby i couldnt just go lay down so i went into urgent care... im sorry about the house.. weve been goin thru that also... we just look at it like ''well that one wasnt meant for us''.. theres nothin wrong with movin in with your mama for a while.. i know you probably dont really want to but im sure shell be excited to have the baby around every day

my daughter is 7 months.. i love that she crawls now but omg she gets into EVERYTHING Lol... shes been sleepin thru the night since about 3.5 months but lately she has been so difficult to get to sleep and shes woken up a couple time screamin.. i think its her teeth or her nose will get stuffy and freak her out.. your son might be goin thru a growth spurt i know that can wake em up or he may be teething.. and when they dont feel right the only place they wanna be is with mama.. i wish i could help you with that but we co-sleep so i have no idea how to get them to sleep on their own in the crib.. anyways take it easy... ttyl

megan ~ it depends on how YOU feel about it ~ we co slept with both our older boys and even to this day it never bothered me, no matter how old they got ~ Stephen at 8 still sneaks in, lol. I never saw anything 'bad' with it ~ it was others who thought it was bad but hey, its not their bed or their kid, lol. We loved it. We'd read, watch TV and just plain snooze ~ we have a big king size bed so it was great ~ Daniel was an awful infant so he was there always til he was about 6, Stephen came in as a toddler ~ Hunter sleeps in his own bed ~ but that is where he prefers to be right now but I'm sure like our other two did at about 2 he will climb in with us and thats just fine with us :) When Hunter wakes between 4 & 6am I bring him in with us :) If you opt to co sleep get a bed rail and have it up ~ place baby on the outside of bed near rail and you in middle ~ then you are near your fiance and baby is safely near rail and you so he will not roll on him ~ :) Thats what we did with Daniel ~ I know other parents who co sleep too ~ more do it then admit to it I've found, lol ~ my day care dad just bought his son (he's 8) a guinea pig because he is now back in his own room :) So sleeping isnt for everyone ~ my sister hated it but for me it is what worked for us and it was never a 'bad' thing for us and certainly never bothered us :) .. But if you cosleep keep in mind not everyone agrees with it ~ so its one of those "you are on a need to know basis and you dont need to know" a family member who isnt for it doesnt need to know we discovered, lol. Cause the wrath you may get isnt worth telling :)

hey there, dont' worry, you are not alone. My little guy is 8 months and since about 6 months he went from sleeping thru the night to wanting me all nite. sometimes he'll only go back to sleep if I feed him, but i know he's not really hungry, and put him right beside me in bed.. My boyfriend has found his new bed on couch cuz our bed is not big enough for the 3 of us. He is just getting his 2 bottom teeth ,I just barely seen them , and since then, he's gotten a bit better. So maybe it's teething. Some days, I can't even see straight, i'm just soo tired. So I just wanted to let ya know, I'm in the same boat!! good luck with the sleeping!

Megan- my son has done this to me for awhile now with the waking up several times at night unless he is in bed with me. I think that they just like being close to a warm body and it gets cold in the crib alone. My husband was sleeping on the couch alot too which sucked but now he has gotten used to the fact that the baby will sleep at least half the night with us and he is good about staying on his own side. We are moving into a new house soon and my baby will officially have his own room so I am gonna try with all my effort to wean him to sleep only in his crib but it might take me awhile. In all honesty if I didn't have my husband I wouldn't mind my baby sleeping in bed with us, I love his lil warm body next to me just as much as he loves mine. Hang in there.
