State of the Baby

May 9

Heard the heartbeat on the dopplar yesterday. 150 BPM and STRONG!!!! It was so exciting. Ever since I left that appointment I really feel like I'm two people walking around. :)

I got sick yesterday getting out of shower and was nauseous last night. Feeling sleepy this morning. In other words, I feel really pregnant.

And I have no idea what sticky baby dust is... but it seems to be like saying good luck... so sticky baby dust to everyone ;)

A coworker told me tolday that I might not show until the end of my 4th month. I want my baby bump now! Everyone's still asking me the same questions all the time. Is it a boy or a girl? Why don't you look pregnant? It's frustrating, everyone wants proof.

Now I'm in my 2nd trimester. Awesome. There's no changes aside for my growing anxiety and curiosity about other new moms to be -

Oh well... I'm standing by waiting for that heavenly glow and sense of well-being of the 2nd trimester...

The baby is kicking! Or gently poking me with his foot But it's awesome! I honestly worry about those who aren't feeling movements... because it's CONSTANT with me. WOW. It's the most common thing in the world , but to me it's all sci-fi.

I can't believe I grew muscles and bones in my belly and now those are being used to kick me. Very cool.

Had OBGYN Appt. on 6/5 and got to hear the heartbeat. 140. Strong. Baby's getting bigger. Uterus is getting bigger. And I have a unmistakeable "pop" in my lower belly.

Never felt better throughout the pregnancy. More energized. More human - I'm actually pretty cool sometimes. But I turned into a monster during the first 14 weeks. Went out with my friends last night and stay out till Midnight!! Admittedly, I drank one small red bull. But, It's to give my baby wings.

I'm starting to look like a freak. the fat I had on my belly is now looking wierd cause I'm showing. Like a belly sandwich. Shudder. I feel normal again, but still emotional.

Going sailing today on Lake Michigan, yay!!

Just found out I'm a cystic fibrosis carrier. very worried I'm going to pass this disease onto baby. Getting Nathaniel tested Monday. Praying....

July 3

29th bday today. No CF test results yet. Ultrasound was yesterday, and we're having a girl! Everything was perfect! So happy...

July 16

Nathaniel tested negative for the Cystic Fibrosis gene. Whew! 21.5 weeks now and everything is perfect. Baby is kicking me everyday. And starting to put the baby's room together. :)
