Hi, Congratulations on you pregnancy. I just went to your website and read your story. It was sad and you are so strong. My 2nd daughter was born at 5lb 5oz at 37 wks. When she was 4 days old she was diagnosed with NEC. So, we know all about that. She had her surgery and the dr came in and said he had done everything medical that could be done and the rest was up to her. They prepared us for her death. Somehow, she pulled through. She ended up staying in the NICU for 12 weeks. She ended up having 3/4 of her lg and sm intestines removed. This was all caused by a blood infection she had when she was born. She is now 5 1/2 yrs old. There are times I forget how sick she was and what we went through being at the hospital. I think it is great that you are raising awareness on the incompetent cervix issue. Thank you for sharing your trajedy so we can learn. Take Care.

Hey thanks for the suggestion about iron levels. I hadn't thought of that and it totally makes sense. I will be sure to ask my dr. about it when I FINALLY see her on the 22nd. I am a little concerned that my appointment is so late but a lot of people have been telling me that many dr.'s won't even see you until you are at least 10 weeks. Feel good- I hope Atlanta is warmer than New York right now!
