Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hey thanks for commenting, I totally understand your reasoning for getting induced. I really like my doctor and want her to be the one to deliver my baby, she has over 30 years experience and the other OBGYNs in her practice have a lot less experience. Plus, she's really nice. So guess what, after all that questioning I did about inducing, I found out today at my appt that they might decide to induce ME at about 39.5-40 weeks! Agh! Talk about pissed! My baby girl is technically measuring 8.5lbs on the ultrasound, BUT it's usually off by up to a pound less. My doctor will be back from vacation next Thursday which is when I have an appt with her (I saw a different OB today, and if it was up to that dumb broad she'd induce me right at 39 weeks) I mean, I'm so frustrated because it's the last thing I want, besides also not wanting a c-section. But, if my doctor says that she recommends it, then I'll agree to it. I just know that being induced is a lot more painful and I'm so scared. Besides, there are tons of women who naturally give birth to up to 10 lb babies, I know I can deliver my girl even if she is 9 or 9.5 lbs. So, I'm crossing my fingers that they'll just leave me alone and let my daughter come when she wants. So, you've only got about 6 more days! Are you excited?

I had planed on a natural birth but after I went into pre-term labor 2 weeks ago (that the Dr managed to stop) I totaly remembered what labor was like. I was induced with my first and had an epi and it was the best experiance I had... I was smiling and laughing when I was pushing! So don't worry :) get induced w/epi and things will be just fine. Congrats! I plan on asking my Dr on thursday if we can induce before my due date cuz lets be honest this is killing me! LOL

Debby21 - Monday, 22 September
Im getting my labor induced tomorrow and im going to get an epi for the pain. With my last baby i only had staydol and that stuff did not work good enough

I have a written birth plan. I am planning on going over with my OB at my next visit. I have also been advised to get him/her to sign off on it. This is a good thing to do because like you said he/she may not be on call when your time does come. Also, it is good to have to show the labor and delivery nurses when you arrive at the hospital. I like it because it is very clear as to what my husband and I want our birthing experience to be like....Hope this helps....

lauren232m - Tuesday, 12 August
i get an ultrasound every apt and yesterday they said she was around 5 lbs..3 weeks ahead. im also really little so im gona go with the c section instead of being induced. my doc told me she doesnt like to deliver big babies so i think thats why i get to go early. talk to your doc!

I never use to be able to nap--but you have no choice with a newborn. You are feeding them every 3-4 hours, which means you will not sleep more than 2 hours at a time for the first month or two. It sucks, but it is popssible. I love when they turn 6 months and sleep through the night. God--Isn't it April/May already?

Courtney H.ItaliaBrit - Wednesday, 6 August
Oh trust me when that baby takes a nap you will Crash out!!!! The first few months are the worst..I had the problem of not being able to take naps when my first was born and its not that i was unable to i was just so excited to have time to myself i stayed awake so i could shower and eat.. LOL i was a single parent with my first so that maybe why..The dad stayed in the picture for 2 months and decided that drugs where more important..... But i'm sure if your man is around you will have no problem getting that nap in. :)

Sounds like my cats. Ashley, my boy is afraid of the TV. Amber is so loving and passionate. She rubbed her face on my belly three times the other day. It was cute, but who knows how they will react once the baby comes home. I don't have a very big apartment so I can only pray everything works out. I never declawed my cats because I feels it is a horrible thing to do a pet. Amber only scratches her posts and nothing else. Ashley on the other hand likes to scratch at the walls (I know, go figure) and I saw him scratching at the cover on my couch. I had to cover it or he would ruin it all together.

Well, I wish us both luck.

for right now you can take tylenol pm. Prob wont want to do that after the baby is born so you can get up with him in the middle of the night. do you tend to drink alot of caffine? If so id lay off that. Im a napper, always have been. I take really hard two hour naps every afternoon if i can manage it. after the baby is born your body will eventually adjust to take some kind of rests.

roro73 - Wednesday, 6 August
That is what I am afraid of. I have two cats.

How many do you have?

smm18 - Friday, 1 August
Being induced isn't a nighmare for everyone. There are a few horror stories, but from what I've heard, it's not that bad at all. You should do a poll or ask others what they think about being induced.

Natalies Roti Baby - Friday, 1 August
"I dont let anyone go 2 days past their due date" HA No doctor can force you to get induced because you are 2 days past your due date. Our Due dates are just estimates thats why we are allowed to go to 42 weeks. Induction is not fun and really should be used only in emergency situations. I have spoken to a mom on ivillage whose dr kept on scheduleing inductions and she kept right on not showing up for them. I strongly suggest you do your own research. Ive been advised by more than one person that many inductions lead to c-sections. Dont be afraid to speak up to these people they are hoping you will just do what they say. Good Luck

jutterback - Thursday, 24 July
I had pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrom with my first and it was horrible. My doc said to get the wrist band and it never helped. I suffered through it. thankfully my second pregnancy was carpal tunnel free, and so far this pregnancy is carpal tunnel free too.

kRyStLe - Monday, 14 July
LOL thank you, but i think hubby would be mad if i put an S in there!!
