Thursday, 26 June I just wanted to say hi and I'm sorry to hear what you're going through right now. I hope your daughter feels better soon, all that smoke can't be good for her little lungs. Congrats on having another girl though, I'm on my 4th! Was hoping for a boy, but all my girls are so sweet I wouldn't trade them for anything. Anyway stay safe, take care. MummyBecky -

Wednesday, 25 June Hi I am from chico and my husband is a Firefighter for the forest service. We have fires where we are to. My advice is to keep your little one in and a purifer on. Hopefully soon they will get the fires under control but who knows. Good luck. bluspirit -
Wednesday, 25 June I hope the wild fires get under control very soon for your sake. Is there anybody you can go stay with until the air clears for the safety of all of you? I just can't imagine. My daughter has a history of lung disease and my son has asthma. Please keep us updated. Good Luck. MrsKiwi -
Wednesday, 25 June How scary to have those fires so close by--and your daughter having such trouble! Post an update when you can to let us know you're all doing okay... praying for safety and for your daughter's fever to go down. lexismomma -
Tuesday, 24 June I feel the same way!!! I have a two year old, and I've been with her since birth. I feel guilty, like I'm not going to love her as much, or not love the baby as much. I am so glad you posted that comment because I have been stressing about this for awhile. It's good to talk to someone else that is going through it also. I just think about how much I love her, and wonder how I'm ever gonna love someone else as much. lol but I know I will. We just recently started her in head start, so she will be more independent, and not so attached, plus it will help her learn more. Today was her third day, and it kills me to leave her, although I know its good for her. I just hope everything works out when the baby gets here. But I'm sure will be fine, we just have to remember no matter how tried we are, to make special time for them everyday. It might be hard in the beginning but we just have to be strong. lol kelim -
Monday, 23 June my little girl is 5 and she feels jelous and cries, it upsets me so much, you just have to make sure that they r involved, ect...and let them know all you are doing now for your unborn baby is wot you did for your other child!x nikolajayneB -
Monday, 23 June I know exactly what you're going through. I'm having my 3rd right now but when i found out i was expecting my 2nd, my son was only just over a year old. He was such a wonderful little boy & i felt this awful sadness for him. I knew things would never be the same for him again. He was just so young to be a big brother!! I had such a feeling of guilt all the way through my pregnancy. He was only 20mths old when i gave birth to my little girl & he was such a good boy with her. Whenever he went over to her crib to have a little look at her we'd tell him not to touch her & he just accepted it straight away. The first few months went smoothly but i didn't have the time to give him the same attention that i had before & it seemed to get harder & harder the older my daughter got as she got more & more demanding as babies do! It's absolutely impossible for you to have exactly the same relationship with your child as you did before but even though you know that it doesn't stop you feeling guilty!!! He's still a lovely boy. So caring, so obviously it hasn't done him any harm but when i look back now at home videos of when they were small the guilt comes straight back. Even though we knew he was just a child we still expected him to be so well behaved & quiet & sensible. Wish i could turn back the clock!! At least this time they're much older so i don't feel quite so bad! MUMMIEDEBZ -
Monday, 23 June Hi I saw your message, I am also pregnant with my second child. My first child a boy is 6 years old. We all wanted another child, mainly my little boy as he kept saying he wants a bro to play with. I did wounder if he would feel left out as he's always had my attention and is a very cuddly child. I think when the babys born if you still have special time with your 1st child and encourage the child to help with the baby I think that will help. That's what I going to try and do. As they grow up together i'm sure your concerns will dissapear as will mine. Take care Debbie x

Monday, 23 June i feel the same way!! lately i feel so guilty for having another baby. I'm totally spoiling my son, which is probably a terrible idea! instead of getting him used to it not being all about him anymore i'm giving him MORE attention! I was thinking he'll never remember what it was like to be an only child ...i don't know..i'm so excited to have another one but feel sad for my first too for some reason
