So here I'am in week 25, YAY! My little girl is so active. She likes to move around throughout the day... especially around 8-9pm! This is my second baby and I can't believe how my belly is as big now as it was when I was almost 9 months along with my son!!! At least I know she's growing, LOL! I'm just now starting to really think about her nursery and I'm going to buy the paint soon (pale pink and pale lavendar.) I know it will have fairies and butterflies and those big dots on the walls. FUN! FUN! My Mom and Sister are planning a baby shower for the weekend of Memorial Day (May 25th) I'm excited since I have no girly stuff! Well, I have bought a few little outfits.

I don't have my page all jazzed up because (READY FOR THIS??) I have dial up and it takes a month and a day to download pic's and whatnot. If you're interested I do have a MySpace page if you want to join my friend's list. I love chatting with my fellow Mommies to be. Let me know and I'll e-mail you my name and you can look me up!

I hope you're all doing well!! ;-)

savvysmom05 - Tuesday, 6 May
Thank you so much for the comment. I needed some feed back on what others have experienced with their little boys. Congrats and take care.

lizamafers - Friday, 2 May
Thank you so much. I wasn't worried, just wondering. I rather hear from real woman then books or some of these internet pages. I'm sure you understand. Thanks again and good luck :-)

BabyBennett - Thursday, 1 May
We were hoping for a boy, but there's always next time. They definitely confirmed that it was a girl - she was not shy! The ultrasound tech said that they can't tell weights, etc. (bunch of crap), but that our baby has very pudgy cheeks. :) I see the midwife on Monday and I'll ask her if she has any guesstimates on weight or size.

Thanks for your comment! My doctor's office is the same way, I don't usually find out the results of anything until my next visit. I called this morning and left a message with the nurse. I was told she'd call me back "right away" which is code for 2 days =) Thanks again, hope all is well!

I knew a lady that had the same problem but she was diabetic and this caused her to have excessive fluid around the baby in her uterus. Did they say anything about the amount of fluid or whatever the medical term for it is? But as long as they say the baby is fine, I wouldn't really worry about it.

Thank you so much.

Thanks so much for your response! I feel SO relieved to know I'm not alone!! I think the panty liners would be an excellent idea at this point... lol

BabyBennett - Friday, 18 April
I'm so paranoid that our little girl will be a boy also, despite the very definite 3 white lines on the 20 week ultrasound. We have our 3D on May 1st, so I'm thinking about having hubby hold off on painting the nursery until then *just in case*. I feel like I'm being too cautious, especially since my parents already bought the Brandee Danielle Froggy Lavender (very girly colors) for us! We are planning to do the nursery in a pale lavender also, with pastel accents. :)

Hi, My sister inlaw has her fingers & thumb go numb, I hear that alot of peolpe can get it.

LaurenD. - Tuesday, 15 April
Yes my hands go numb often as well. Especially at night, i forgot to ask the dr. when i was there last but i don't think it's anything to worry about. I'm not even sure what would cause it....

bethk - Tuesday, 15 April
Hey! Just thought I'd tell u I also have numbness but in my leg! The whole thing goes numb and tingly sometimes! My Midwife said it happens when the baby is leaning on my spinal nerve or something along those lines and its fine. REALLY annoying tho specially when I start walking funny hehe xx

shirmar - Thursday, 10 April
hiya just wanted to thankyou soooo much for your lovely comments you made on my page.........best of luck with the rest of your remaining weeks.........not long now!!!!!!

Hey MamaE....I ahve a cat and I just plan on keeping him out of the babies room unless i'm in there with him....He's a sweet little guy but super curious and he sleeps on me when i'm sleeping...i'm just worried he could do the same to my baby boy. Cat's like to lay on warm things.....that's why people are so afraid of having them around babies...because they do try to cuddle and lay on the baby....Just keep the door to baby's room closed whenever you're not right in there...

babybarbados - Monday, 7 April
This is my first baby and I have 2 cats. I just plan to keep a careful eye on them. My sister recently had two babies and she has 3 cats (+ a big dog!). The cats were not an issue for her. They were more disturbed than anything (cats don't like change) and they kept their distance. She did have her husband bring home blankets from the babies while they were still in the hospital so the pets could get used to the smell. I plan to do the same. I wouldn't worry too much...just keep an eye on the cats behavior. There are a lot of old wives tales out there about cats and babies. Don't let anyone scare you. It is perfectly safe to coexist. Just don't let the cat in the babies crib. Good luck!

Alisha345554 - Monday, 7 April
When my sister had her first baby, I had two cats that were about that age. We were both still living with our father at the time, so the cats were around the baby. We were worried at first because they were also very hyper. However, they seemed to know to stay away from the baby. For a long time we still watched them and didnt allow the cats in the baby's room, but for the most part they were really good. Sometimes they would try to play with strings and stuff from her clothes, but usually just telling them "not a toy" made them back off. I'd say keep an eye on the cat around the baby, and dont let them be alone in the same room together until the baby is large enough to push the cat away, but don't worry to much. Most likely the cat wont be interested in the baby.

Thank you for your reply, We ordered some new baby books and will tell him when they arrive. I was reading your page and I am the same I am nearly as big now as I was when I had my boy It must be a second time around thing or maybe it because its a girl its different oh well they say big is beautiful, Good luck with everything:)

Nickey610 - Monday, 31 Mar
Thanks for the advise about telling my son. We have decided to go ahead and let him know what's happening. I will let you know how it goes. Have a blessed day!

Hi
I understand how you feel about the size of your baby buimp and peoples reaction. I am having my 3rd child and I am so tired of people saying' wow you're huge already' or ' Oh wow you have a ways to go and you have really popped out there' I try not to let it bother me, but it does because I worry that I am goung to be really big by my due date of July 10th. Good luck to you! I guess we just have to ignore them....my husband says they are jealous as I look better and thinner pregnant than they do when they are not pregnant!!!!! I love him :)

shana - Sunday, 30 Mar
I understand what you mean about getting senstive when people make comments about the progress of the pregnant body.....I have found poeple say inapporiate things sometimes and sometimes I am being oversensitve because I have may own concerns. oh life!

Nickey610 - Friday, 28 Mar
Hi mamaE I read that you have a 2.5 year old how did he take it when you told him there would be another baby? I have yet to tell my 3 year old son maybe because I don't know how he will react.

BabyBennett - Monday, 24 Mar
I know what you mean about belly size - My chiropractor is Due May 6 and I'm due July 11 and we are the same size. If anything I may be slightly larger... I had a 'moment' when we compared due dates, but other than that, I'm fine. I'm only 5'0' tall and a pre-pregnancy size 4, so really the baby only has one way to grow, and that's OUT. :)

mikesbaby - Monday, 17 Mar
Thanks for letting me know! I would go for a lavender if I didn't go with the yellow, but I really like the colour I picked! Congrats on your little one!

mommaloo - Friday, 7 Mar
I just had to shoot you a comment about the sweets thing!! IT IS DEF A GIRL!! I have two girls and this one is a boy. I ate nothing but cakes and cookies and brownies with my girls and with this one I crave my green veggies and salads and all the good things. Just wanted to let you know it is an old wives tale too

Tiffany4 - Saturday, 1 Mar
Thanks and congrats to you also. I found out on the 27th that I was having a girl now we're finished now. My due date is July 12th, but I will have a c-section on the 7th or 8th depends on how big I get. Take care and baby dust
