We just found out on Friday February 15th that we were pregnant. I have an 11 year old boy from my first marriage and my husband has a 10 year old from a previous relationship. Both children live with us full time. I have to admit it has been "easy" so far! Considering they're both the same age and we get "every other weekend" off! We were shocked and surprised that we were pregnant. I have PCOS and wasn't even supposed to be able to become pregnant without medical intervention. Guess it was meant to be! We're so excited. Can't wait to meet you baby!!!

One more week until I go to the doctor! I can't wait to find out "exactly" how far along I am. More info to follow! So far feeling tired, BBs sore, and having some REALLY WEIRD dreams.

First doctor's appointment today! He did a complete exam and drew some blood. He said it felt like I was 12 weeks!!! I go for an ultrasound tomorrow at 4. I can't wait to find out exactly how far I am! It's crazy today....I knew I was pregnant but today was really exciting to hear him say it! Like it's "legit" now!!! More news to come tomorrow.....

Saw my baby today!! Heart beat is strong and steady! 8 weeks on March 5th, Due date October 15th. I still can't believe it ! Can't wait until I'm done this first tri-mester...I'm sooo sleepy! Anyone else really tired?? Naps are my best friend!

So I'm still pretty sleepy. Can't seem to sleep through the night either. It's weird. My belly is so big and my bb's are still soooo sore! I'm counting down to week 12 like it's going to be a magic day where I won't be sleepy anymore OR sore :) Oh I also cry at the drop of a hat. I was looking at baby stuff online and thought back to when my son was a baby and I just started bawling in the middle of my classroom! Must be a boy... he's driving me crazy already!! :)I can't wait until my next ultrasound!!

So at 10 weeks I could feel an absolute difference as far as my lethargy. I'm still tired but I can at least watch my favorite shows that come on at 9! I was never a night person anyway.;) What I really have to do is move more..walk, exercise... My goal is to go walking every day after lunch. Of course the day I start this idea it's POURING and I have NO umbrella in my car. As if I needed an excuse not to do it! I'm going to concentrate on my weight and getting exercise. I'm already overweight and don't want a ton of complications because of it. Next Doc appt. is April 7th. Hopefully they'll let me hear the heartbeat! :)

Well tomorrow I will be 13 weeks. Went to the doctor yesterday and he couldn't find the heartbeat. I was fine with that considering that I was so early until the doctor said, Um, do you want to go for an ultrasound? WHAT?! why!? Should I?!? so needless to say it was on my mind all night and I made an appt for the next morning (this morning). The baby was so ACTIVE! Heartrate is 158 bmp and it was kicking and jumping! It was so wild to see it like that! Thanks God everything is ok with the baby. I got 2 great pics and go back to the doc in 2 weeks to take my sugar test etc. We've decided not to have an amnio regardless of what the tests come back as. It wouldn't change the fact that we're keeping this baby and will love it no matter what. I'm not willing to risk the miscarriage to do more tests. More updates in 2 weeks!

Had my glucose test today. YUK that stuff is so gross. Also signed up for a thyroid test and the triple screening for birth defects. I get another ultrasound at 20 weeks. I can't wait! This is way different than my first pregnancy.. (11 years ago!) I only had one ultrasound at 6 weeks! stinkers.. So we heard the baby's heart beat! Only for a couple seconds though..the ninja baby moved! More updates to come.

Well my belly is definitely sticking out now. I've been feeling the baby move for a couple weeks now! Crazy. I can't wait until my kids can feel it kick! Next doctor's appt May 27th. Next ultrasound, May 28th. I can't wait!

Have to repeat my blood tests. Going in Friday for a 3 hour glucose test and they want me to repeat my triple screening. That bothers me a bit... We'll see!

So my blood tests came back great! My sugar is fine and my triple screening is normal!! WHEW.. We go for an ultrasound this Wednesday, I'll be 20 weeks then. I can't believe I'm half way there! Baby's been kicking up a storm although my husband can't feel it strongly...I can't wait!!! Siatic nerve is killing me and my carpal tunnel is in full force. Other than that I feel great.

Had our 20 week ultrasound this morning! Things are going well. 2 hands, feet, legs, arms. I wish the baby would have turned a bit, wanted a pic of his/her profile! Was wonderful to see it "wave" and kick! I'm so excited..I can't wait to see this angel face!

24 weeks today! I can't believe I'm already 6 months! My hubby FINALLY got kicked HARD! I was so happy the baby kicked hard enough that it wasn't mistakable! Everything went well at the docs. Blood pressure normal, baby's heartbeat 145, my weight..UGH.. can't deal. Have to do the whole sugar test thing again in 4 weeks.. not looking forward to that either. Just let me get through the summer! Heading to Italy in August.. going to be extremely hard..but will survive!! :) For my kid's sake I'll have blast.

27 week check up! Baby's heart rate was 150 and strong! Doc said it sounded like a "happy person." :) Heat is killing me, carpal tunnel is a pain, and other than my feet not fitting into any of my shoes, things are great! Had my glucose test today.. hopefully it comes back normal, I can't deal to drink that orange stuff again! *shudder* Start going to doc. every 2 weeks now! Italy still on so far!

Docs today. Got my "OK" to fly! Leaving for Italy tomorrow for 2 weeks....I hope they're nice to me!! Baby's heart beat 142. Gained 6 lbs in a month!!! UGH I was doing so well! Gained almost 40 lbs! Must....resist....tastycakes.....

Survived the trip! was tough to say the least. My ankles are HUGE and my legs turn into rhino's at night. Would not recommend traveling in economy class at 8 1/2 months pregnant! Doc appt. Friday!!!

Hello again. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. My husband teaches grade 7 at a rural school and so covers all subjects but French. This is his 5th year teaching and so far in his teaching career he has had students ranging from grades 4 to 8. At our last ultrasound we paid a little extra and got a copy of the video which he plans to show the kids (he bought a projector for his classroom and uses it to show videos, slideshows, etc. on the "big screen"). My husband is also a teacher and his students are constantly asking questions about the pregnancy and are enjoying the updates as we progress (although we are all a little disappointed that I won't be able to go on the treetop zipline adventure field trip at the end of the year). Hey Number5, I had just lost about 20 lbs...I know pcos is more common in overweight women.. The last time I got pregnant, I was trying for 6 mos with no luck, lost weight and poof, blessed with my son. Being a step-parent is definitely 'no joke.' I've been blessed so far... although it's not always easy. Good luck to you!!!
