I am 22 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I work full-time at a church in Aurora in their Communications department. I'm very excited and nervous, as most first-time mothers are, and I can't wait to see my daughter's face and meet her for the first time in May! I'm due the day after Mother's Day, May 12. =)

What was your first symptom: I was running every day, and I wasn’t losing any weight. My boobs were also growing a ton and I started craving mashed potatoes. Haha. So I decided to take a test.

How much weight have you gained: Over 30 pounds already! I told my friends I’d turn into a house… I didn’t think it would actually happen...

Do you think you'll need a c-section: Hopefully not. No one in my extended family has ever had to have one. We're German... we're made for breeding.

Well, after reading posts on this website for the past few weeks, I've finally made my own page! I'm 16 weeks and I'm getting very excited. I'm not going to find out what I'm having until it's born - I want to be surprised - but this child is a gift from God in the midst of a crazy time, and I am so incredibly thankful. I'm due the day after Mother's Day, May 12, which will make me a mama at the ripe old age of 22. =)

I just found out this morning that I am having a BABY GIRL!!! I am sooo incredibly excited! And they moved my due date up just a few days. But she was just adorable... she kept touching her head and her face with her little hands, and moving her little feet around. The U/S tech said that she is a very active little baby and that I should start feeling her soon. But I just love her. She `s my little breath of heaven. =)

Well I `m at 24 weeks now! Only 16 more to go!!!Today I had my 3D-4D ultrasound and it was so amazing! First we took a look to see if it was actually a girl - and she surely is! Wasn `t shy at all today... Then we looked at some 3D/4D images. At first my little girl was covering her entire face with her hands - she `s always touching her little face. But after moving around a lot and trying to get her to move, she showed us her BIG smile! It was ADORABLE! She `s definitely happy hanging out in there. Then she was just sucking her little thumb and touching her face, eating her fist, the usual. :) But she was so precious!After seeing her I decided that her name is going to be Bethany. She just didn `t look like a Katerina to me... she looked like a little baby Bethany. Definitely recommend getting the 4D ultrasound.

I just can `t believe it... only 11 more weeks and I can see my little baby girl! I still haven `t completely decided on a name, but my favorite is Bethany Jane (nickname Annie). But we `ll see! I might just wait until I see her to give her a name.

The only thing that `s been really hard this pregnancy is the issue with the father. I have a restraining order on him, and it `s just been really hard because not only am I doing this whole thing alone, but he also finds a way to turn this whole situation onto me, saying it `s all my fault. But I know my little girl will be a million times happier with a loving family, and she will eventually have a GOOD daddy - not someone who sexually abuses and drugs people. It wouldn't be fair for her to have to love this person when the only one he will ever love is himself.

Other than that, things are going great! A little soreness, a lot of back pain, but then she kicks me and I forget all about it. =) I love her so much... I just can `t wait.

Well... three days past my revised due date, and tomorrow is my first due date, so I'm pretty positive she's a late one. I was starting to get really upset about it, thinking that she will never come. I always thought she'd be here by Mother's Day but I ended up celebrating my first Mother's Day in a huge mumu dress wearing a corsage on my wrist because it looked awkward on my huge body, and standing when the pastor asked for all mothers to stand. But as I got to thinking about it more and more, I'm really okay with it. I started Maternity Leave Thursday so I've been able to really relax and get everything done. I worked on her baby book and her birth announcements Saturday, and everything is washed and ready to go. I was really upset because I had been sent home from L&D twice, and I've been told that I would meet her within 24 hours by a doctor THREE times. I didn't know why no one would just induce me when I hear about all these women getting induced. But now I'm okay with it. I think it's just God's way of letting me do this the way I want to do this. I don't want to be induced, I don't want drugs for the pain, and I want to be able to labor mostly at home. So now I'm just excited because I know she's coming any day. So for now, I'll just enjoy my last moments of sleep. Because in a few days, I won't be able to sleep whenever I want anymore. =)

Hi! thank you for writing, I also do about an hour of cardio, low weights, and yoga but i am sooo exsausted for the rest of the day! I read you also work full time, do you workout everyday? I don't work i study at home...how do you manage? Iam having a girl too!!! CONGRATS

keegan is doing great! we got his nursery furniture put together this weekend, it came in a gazillion pieces. How is your little one?? i cant belive how fast time is going. which is good!

haha..yeah me and the hubby were NOT getting along that day. needless to say he slept on the couch that night! :) it was bound to happen sooner or later. My belly bump is out of control! at my last dr appt i had gained a total of 31 lbs. yikes. i started out weight 127 and i am missing my pre prego body but then again i love my bump too. im glad im not the only one that is buying winter clothes already!! i am expecting a package from childrens place today actually :) ill tell you, i am in shock at how close we are getting. kinda scary..

oh my gosh that ultrasound pic is AMAZING! im so jealous my drs office wont do them until im 28 weeks! i am glad that you know for a fact that you have a girl. i will be ticked if they were wrong on mine since ive bought his winter clothes for this year and bedding!!

Hi, some doctors are like that with the 3D/4D scans, I went and had one done at 17wks to find out what I was having. I am glad we got it done too because it was what we sent to everyone for Christmas. I was able to see his parts better at 17wks than at almost 21wks when we had our big scan.

hey lady just saw your post..i am having my 4d ultrasound done on feb 19. my drs office expressed no concerns about it being unsafe..its just an extra charge since its not medically needed. i wouldnt worry about it harming your baby.

i am going to get a 3d/4d ultrasound done also at the end of february, they say at 29 weeks it is better to get a facial shot then! but i know i want to make sure what i am having seems that my little one wouldn't open those legs!!

Awe yes i completely think you should have a 4d ultrasound done we just had one at our 21 weeks scan. The ultrasound tech did it partially in 2d and then switched over to 4d to video record on our dvd it was well worth it. Our baby looked pretty skinny looking but she said she weighed 14 ounces then. Either way I think it was completely amazing. It really gives them the shape and form on the 4d. Either way goodluck on whatever you decide!! Congratulations!!

hello...LOVE your Daughters name! it is beautiful! my cousin has the same middle name but her first name is Allison....my Mom's name was Joan so I knew if a GIRL her middle name was a definate...My Mom passed away this March will be 3 years, she has a twin sister and her and I are so close, thank goodness for her! Hey girl. My DR. said Im full term anywhere from 36-40 weeks. So if you look at it that way, I'm due anywhere from the end of next month to the end of March. Only a couple/few short months left for me!!! Im giving the baby my last name since the father and I are not married and havent been together since I was 3 weeks pregnant. Are you giving the baby your last name?? Im actually starting to buy things for her now and set up our apartment. I move in this weekend :)
