October 15, 2007 Hi Mommie's! As mentioned before, I had my first appointment this past Friday. They gave us an ultrasound, so we were able to see the little munckin! Of course we don't know the sex of the baby yet, but when I saw the little bean on the screen, I immediately thought to myself - look at that healthy baby boy! When we left the appointment, I told my husband that and he stopped in his tracks and said, "that's exactly what I thought!" So...call it parents intuition, or call it completely wrong :) Either way, it was one of the best days of my life! The miracle of life is absolutely incredible! The ultrasound actually put us with a due date of May 5 instead of May 7 - maybe the little one will just be a bit on the chubby side :) Thanks for your prayers and thoughts, they have meant a lot! How are YOU feeling?

A LITTLE ABOUT ME: October 10, 2007 - Hi Mommy's! All of the writing on my page got deleted. Not sure why, so here's a quick update...My name is Casey, I'm a first time Mami to be. We found out we're pregnant on Thursday, August 30. My period was due the day before and didn't come, so I went to bed knowing I'd take a test in the morning. After brushing my teeth, I peeked at the test and it boldly declared PREGNANT! I didn't know what to do! I was so excited that I ran to the mirror just to take a peak at my face so I could see what I looked like (I know, I know, I'm a geek :) ) I dropped to my knees and thanked The Lord for this little miracle inside of me. Without hesitation, I proudly tiptoed into our bedroom to wake my husband up. Needless to say, he was overjoyed! We laughed, cried, and held each other for about 10 minutes, it was one of the best moments of my life :) I'm now 10 weeks, and looking forward to out first appointment which is scheduled for this Friday (October 12). I've been waiting for this week since I found out we're expecting, which was about six weeks ago! I'll let you know how it goes! Pray that they give me an ultrasound, I'd love to be able to see my little bug :)

SYMPTOMS: I felt great up until I hit six weeks. From six - eight weeks I was very nauseous ALL day and extremely tired and irritable. Towards the end of my eigth week, it was literally an immediate change. No more nausea, very little fatigue - it just switched! I woke up one morning and told my husband, "I feel like a new woman!" Since then, I really can't complain. I'm tired a lot, and have frequent shots of lower back pain. But really other then that, I'm doing well. Prior to pregnancy, I loved healthy foods - veggies, fruit, etc. Now, I can't even look at a steamed veggie - ugh! Anytime I see something healthy and green I have to look the other way :) Fruits are still tops for me though. Also, I crave meat - A LOT! Not just chicken, but sausage, beef, kilbasa, all the heavy meats! A friend of mine told me this could be an indication that it's a boy - who really knows though?

I WANT A BELLY: I'm not showing at all, but I know in due time this baby will pop! Besides my breasts and butt getting bigger - there's no sign of a baby belly :( My mom told me I'm going to carry this baby in my butt - great, thanks Mom! :)
