Hello there everyone. Its great to hear everyone with exactly the same symptoms....... spots, starving yet sick!! lack of sex drive, just feeling generally yucky!!! Its amazing how mother nature only lets you remember the good bits! And I'm sure my hubby is bored of my moaning (Tho he dare not admit it with the hormones, he he!!!) I'm around 11 and a half weeks with my third baby, tho it feel so exciting every-time it feels like the first! I had my dating scan on Fri which was unbelievable that this little thing was actually THERE wriggling inside me, we was in complete awe, I'm sure you all understand.

Tuesday, 4 Dec

Hello everyone, I heard baby heart for first time yesterday for approx.1.5 seconds, it kept wriggling away from the doppler! And refused point blank to stay still! Attitude already!!!!!! I have shown since around 6 weeks, I think its to do with this being my 3rd baby but I well and truly 'popped' around a week ago! Lol, I love that popped expression! Does anybody else feel like they have a little gold fish flopping around in their tummy?! xXx

Friday, 7 Dec

Hi everybody, How is everybody's skin? I still have more spots than my teenage son!! Does anybody have a 'feeling' about what they're having? I have this feeling mine is a girl, tho I do have 2 boys already so it might just be a case of wishful thinking!! I have done the ring thing over my tummy and it swings round for a girl but I really don't want to be building my hopes up!! Do I? I find out for sure on 4th Jan. I too refused the quad tests because I don't think I'm brave enough to make a decision if things were to go wrong, what will be will be! xXx

Friday, 7 Dec

My husband would like to know when I'm gonna be 'in the mood again'!!!!!! xXx

Sunday, 30 Dec

Hi girls, hope your all OK. Feeling little legs move quite a bit now and stronger too. My hubby felt it from the outside xmas day! I `m waking up in the night with my nose completely blocked and its keeping me awake too! Also think I can feel the dreaded restless legs starting, any tips on this would gladly be appreciated. I have my scan on the 4th Jan, looks like everyone seems to be having theirs and finding out their babies genders. I CAN `T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really really wanted a girl as I already have two boys and this is sure to be my last but now I have been feeling the little `un moving I `m starting to feel that it doesn `t really matter that much, just feeling it knowing its safe in there is enough. This is my 3rd pregnancy and its just as exciting as the 1st, every movement is a joy. My sickness seems to be finally lifting even when I `m hungry! I had a bit of a queezy moment pulling the giblets out of the turkey xmas morning but I `m sure they `re exceptional circumstances, lol. xXx

Sunday, 6 Jan

IT `S A BOY!!!!xXx XxX xXx XxX

Tuesday, 15 Jan

I `m feeling a bit low at the moment. My hubby and I had words so he `s gone to stay at his Mum `s for probably a few days. My best friend knows but I tend to be really private so have kept it from everyone else. So I `m feeling a bit alone! xXx

Wednesday, 16 Jan

Thank you everybody for your lovely kind messages, they `re really appreciated. Things between my hub and I aren `t serious but everything is so exaggerated when you `re pregnant!!! And although its not nice to hear (tho it is if you know what I mean!!! Lol) it sounds like a lot of you are having the same sort of problems. Thank you again and I hope you `re all well. xXx P.s. Does this site keep you all sane too????

Friday, 1 Feb

Hi girlies, everyone worrying about taking baths, don `t worry too much, just make sure your bath isn `t too hot, trust me you will know if it is!!! Trust your instincts. Also nobody should feel forced into breastfeeding and also not made to feel guilty about not doing it!! Neither of my children were breastfed and they both thrived, if its not right for you its not right, full stop. Nobody has the right to make you feel guilty, pressured or even bully you into it!! My first was born when I was 18 and I was made to feel terribly about not wanting to breastfeed, my second was born while I was 31 and it was so much easier to say no. Whats right for you is whats right for your baby making you both much happier. xXx

Wednesday, 6 Feb

Hi everyone, 25 weeks, woo hoo!!!! I only have 13 weeks left as I `m booked in for a c-section on the 12th May. I `ve posted a picture of me at 25 weeks, I think I am MASSIVE especially considering that there is still three months of growing to go!!!!! Have a look and tell me what you think. xXx

Monday, 25 Feb

My 15 year old has just been accepted in The Royal Navy (as long as medical is fine.), and I `m not sure how I feel about it!!! My firstborn will be leaving me in September!!!! xXx

Thursday, 3 April
OMG, week 33, I only have 5 weeks to go. Everything in going well, apart from a little blip of 3 days in hospital with a kidney infection. Its going so fast now yet seems to be taking forever. I can't wait to hold the little one in my arms. Up to now the name we seem to be sticking with is Niall Andrew Carty. We have changed our minds a few times but this seems to be the one we always return to. I absolutely adore this website. xXx

21st April 2008

Niall , a 2-syllable boy's name of Celtic/Gaelic origin, means: A champion; a noted warrior.

Birth details

Type of delivery: Cesarean section
Duration of labor: 7 hours!!!
Weight @ birth: 7 lb

Niall-Andrew-Carty`s birthstory

I went into spontaneous labour on Sunday May 11th although my elective cesarean section was booked for Wednesday May 14th, obviously little legs was not prepared to wait!!

I arrived at the labour ward only to discover how busy they were, so busy in fact that i had to labour for 7 hours, yes!! 7 hours before a theatre became free for little old me!! At this point I was 7 centimeters dilated and it HURT!!

I lost quite a lot of blood on the operating table so things got a bit scary at the time and because of this I had to stay in bed for 2 whole days after, trust me I was not a pretty sight!!

When they showed my me Niall I cried louder than he did, my husband too when he held him in his arms. As with a lot of section babies Niall needed a bit of oxygen to help him along.

He is beautiful, worth every ache, pain and every other blasted pregnancy symptom!! Mother nature has done her job and I have forgot everything already!! BLAST!!! I`m broody already !! LOL! xXx

I am so jealous!!!! You lost all your weight!?!?? You brat:) KIDDING. Don't be hard on yourself honey. I got so pissed off that I lost 30 pounds so far and couldn't get anything back on as well. I am still wearing maternity clothing. My mom bought me a couple new tops. I'm losing fast...as I was on my arse for the whole pregnancy. I gained 45 pounds! Just give yourself time. So much of what is in style or what is in the stores right now is all flowly and covers up the belly:) YAY! Take your time and be proud that you lost the weight so quickly! Very impressive:)

babyharris - Wednesday, 11 June
Hi
I have been nursing and my baby was born on apr 9th...so far I have lost 15 pounds! Nursing will really help you shed pounds fast. You will be amazed, I am

Utopianite - Wednesday, 11 June
Don't be so tough on yourself. It takes 6 weeks alone for the uterus to go back to pre-pregnancy size, and if you have a c-section.... you've got inflamed tissue to deal with too. If this is your first pregnancy, give yourself 3 or 4 months for your waist to shrink back down. If you've had other children, it tends to take a bit longer. 6 months is a really good goal to be back to the same size that you were before. Looking like you did before, a couple of weeks after you give birth and have major abdominal, surgery is terribly unrealistic.

ElleMarley - Wednesday, 11 June
hi i had a c section and found the same problem i lost my baby weight and a bit more, but my jeans especially were not going on like they used to, my midwife said that its because your hips and pelvis widen after having a baby, so it changes your shape which obviously affects how your clothes fit, plus after my section i have a little overhang of tummy over the scar and its a bit wobbly not firm like before so i got a size up but the legs don't fit as good as before, sorry to say but i think its just another sacrafice of motherhood lol.

danish-girl - Tuesday, 10 June
I am so happy to be a mum! I have a fever though - not a lot, but enough to make me feel bad. I've had it for days and its not getting better or worse - I think I'll call my doctor tomorrow!

How are you feeling?

kmfitz - Tuesday, 10 June
we tried :( they told us it's not their fault. stupid corporations. we're sooooooooooo mad about it--it's hard enough to go shopping these days, so when we get to, losing all of it the next day is devastating.

i'm having the yellow stuff too! thank god! no one else talked about it--it's coming out w/ the blood. i noticed it last week and it does not smell very good, so i thought i had an infection.

one good thing about the power being off is that i get to stay at my parents' house--so that means two extra people to hand the baby off to so i can go shower! i never thought that showering would become my favorite time of day. it's the only time i get some peace!!!

i hope you get a little bit of sleep tonight--nikki was up at 3, 7, and then 11. I got little bits of sleep here and tehre, but i feel better than i have in days. and right now she's in the living room crying for NO REASON!! UGH!

kmfitz - Tuesday, 10 June
yeah, i called about the bleeding and they said that it's normal to bleed up to 6 weeks out. so they don't seem to concerned. hopefully it'll stop soon--boy, the body sure does make up for not having a period for 9 months!!

I had the WORST day EVER yesterday. So, around 4:30, the power freaking goes out. I have a feeling it's not coming back on any time soon, so I have my mom come get me and the baby (b/c michael has the car). Michael and I try to go back home around 9, thinking the power will be on b/c that's what the power company said, but NO IT'S NOT, and their new estimated time of restoration is 3AM!!!! It's pitch black in the house and we can't see to take care of nicole on top of the fact that we just spent $150 on groceries that's now all gone.

I'm still at my parents' house. let's see if the power's back on tonight...

how are you feeling?

trishaj23 - Tuesday, 10 June
oh i see what you were asking now! yeah i had a ton of water in me from the iv's. it took about two weeks for me and i was back to normal. it really sucks. i hated the recovery but totally worth it. so yah i'd say a week and half to two weeks

mom2boy - Tuesday, 10 June
I am sure it depends on the person but I am fitting back in most of my cloths and my baby is 9 weeks old.

trishaj23 - Tuesday, 10 June
well it's been three months since my c section and i fit into some of my pre pregnancy stuff.. not my tight fit jeans yet tho i am almost there tho. im on a diet and now that it's nice whether i've been taking emma on a lot of walks... so maybe another month. if there was nice whether when i had her i woulda been skinny again by now lol. how much do you have to loose? i had sixty to loose.. but i've already lost fortyfive of that. so fifteen pounds left.

Hello darling!
I am so in love with my son that I haven't had time to write my birthstory :-) I have put a few pictures up though - he is so cute! (yes I know - very objective being the mom and all )

I agree with the contradicting stuff! I think swaddling is bad if you make the kids too hot. If you are in AC, and using cotton blankets like I am I am sure it's fine. I also swaddle low enough that he can get his arms out and the blankets are not near his face. If we listened to every piece of advice out there, we would be crazy!

tatianamommy - Saturday, 7 June
i kno what you mean about the swadling. i asked the nures while in the hospital anout usng blankets and they said its okay to swaddle and do diffrent things in the hospital because a nurse is in to check on the baby every 2 hours. i say, be sfe and smart but do what works for you. maybe swadle only during day time naps??

kmfitz - Friday, 6 June
it SUCKS without him here. I've been running around like a crazy person all day and all night with the baby. It's so hard to sleep--I sleep whenever she does, but it still leaves me cranky and hating everyone. I don't know what the F happened, but the night before michael went back to work, she decided she didn't want to sleep and it's been that way ever since. I don't know what the hell the problem is--she had been sleeping through the night for like a week right before that.

And just today I noticed that I've started bleeding pretty heavily again after it had pretty much stopped. I don't know if that means I'm doing too much--but if it does, what can I do?? I have to take care of her. I feel like I've aged about 20 years and I look like a big fat saggy cow who's like 5 months pregnant.

God, I sound so bitter. I feel like I'm about to have a breakdown myself :( I hope you're feeling better--I'm definitely feeling much much worse.

dhernandez03 - Thursday, 5 June
As for me I'm totally off my pre-pregnancy weight but seems like I'm loosing it fast. It only been 2wks and I've already lost 11lbs. Still need 40lbs to go!

Same as for me around the stomach. I was pretty much all belly and It's hard loosing it.

And yea i'm sore also. My strips have not fallen off yet! And I'm itching around that area and it sucks that I can't scratch!

lisa*andy - Thursday, 5 June
I know hun 7 weeks are gonna drag just want to see my baby now xoxoxoxox

dhernandez03 - Wednesday, 4 June
How are you feeling? I had my c-section the 22nd of May and I'm still swollen! My ankles are a little and I still look about 4months pregnant. Is this normal?

MonikaOH - Wednesday, 4 June
What is infocol made from? Do I need to check with pediatrician for it? I have started mylicon drops hoping they will help. Matthews sore bottom is still sore but now I think it maybe just diaper rush (vs yiest infection he had presciption cream for) so i will go back to A&D and Lotrimin and see if it gets any better.
For bad diaper rush Dr told me to try ocasionally athleetes foot cream (lotrimin AF). I also got swaddlers sensitive diapers (they are much nicer and allow more air, plus have wetness indicator). Thanks for your suggestions!
